Salmon was grossly undercooked to rare/medium rare. Upon stating it was undercooked we were told, “that is the way we do it here.” This was awkward because we weren’t asking for anything other than saying it was undercooked. Have eaten there before but not sure we will go back due to chastisement of manager.
Met a business associate for an early dinner. It was her suggestion but I had been there before. 6:30pm on a Tuesday so it was fairly empty. Service was excellent and all dishes and drinks were outstanding! The fried green tomatoes were some of the best I’ve had in the area. I had the salmon and it was delicious. I highly recommend this establishment.
Amazing shrimp and grits! Hush puppies with warmed pineapple sauce were outstanding! The Caesar salad also was delicious! Great meal and experience!!
Food and drink was awesome and server Ray was excellent.
The food and service were impeccable. Have already recommended to several people. We'll definitely be back!
Food is wonderful! The waitress was very nice but a little undertrained. She rushed us a bit and wanted to take plates away too early. She was very nice though.
Social Southern Kitchen is an easy restaurant to enjoy with excellent food and service. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming where diners are never hurried. It's a great place to go when you need a break from the hustle and bustle and mediocrity of eating out. It's my food sanctuary.
Good food great service
2nd time I've been to Socials...2nd time I've LOVED it! The service, food, cocktails, atmosphere...all amazing! I had the BBQ...I'm from Texas & there is no comparison to my home states brisket. Socials Q was BRILLIANT!
The food and service are always top notch! We can't wait to go back again.
The food was wonderful. We will be back!
Food was fantastic! Hard to recommend any one item, loved all and portions were very large. The combination of flavors were unique and fun. Watched other items come out of kitchen and can’t wait to go back and try them. Service was good but new was exceptionally nice!
The food was wonderful but the service was slie considering there were only as few tables waiting to get their meals.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. We shared a deviled egg app that was out of this world. The front porch lemonade was very good. Husband had the bone in ribeye. Cooked and seasoned perfectly but the meat was a little gristly. I had the airline fried chicken breast. Lovely crunch and cooked perfectly. The collards were fantastic and that duck fat gravy- whooooweeee. So good. (Ask for a little extra gravy though). Husband had the brownie for dessert and that was wonderful too! Our waiter was a joy. We had an early dinner so not very noisy but it was starting to fill up as we left. Very nice. We will be back. :)
Consistently high service and food quality. We love it there!
We went for the first time on our anniversary. Everything was excellent, including the service. It took a little longer than expected to get our meal, but we knew that many (if not all?) of the dishes are made from scratch and it was worth the wait.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. it is clean quiet and comfortable. A great neighborhood go to place.
Now the service is another matter. We walked in and just stood in reception area no one to greet or seat us. Finally seated no server. Then person showed up server in training poured water and said our server would be with us shortly. After a lengthy wait server showed up and wanted to take our order before we had had a chance to order a glass of wine. You get picture just not well organized. Nice people but just a bubble off. We will give it another try because the food is just great,
I was very excited to try Social Southern Kitchen because Twenty One & Main in Elkin was one of my all time favorites. The food definitely didn’t disappoint - everything was wonderful. Our waitress however was not. She seemed annoyed that my friend and I were sharing appetizers and meals and made us feel unimportant. She didn’t check on us once while we dined - my friend had to hunt her down to get a drink refill. Hopefully next time will be better service. Definitely will be back - food was amazing! 🤗
Delicious food and desserts! All made on site. Wine recommendation by waitress was outstanding. Excellent service by the staff. Great craft cocktails.
Food was awesome! Atmosphere perfect! Service incredible!
Pleasant server. Small but interesting menu. One of the owners “works” the front of house, so attention to friendly, precise service is excellent. I did not particularly like the too-sweet chutney on my scallops, but the scallops themselves were nicely cooked, and the grits and kale sides were very good.
It was my birthday. Wonderful service and great food. Our second time eating here and not disappointed with our meal.
One of the best pork chops you will ever eat. And, without question, the best sweet and sour collards you will find anywhere. So happy to have this wonderful restaurant so close to home.
Everyone’s meal was excellent! The burgers were considered the best around this area and the drum fish special was unique and very nicely prepared. Our server was great!
Everything we ordered, including the wine, was outstanding!
Great food and great service. I have already recommended Social to several people today.
We had to wait almost an hour for food. Service started off great but went downhill after we received our appetizers. Management made excuses instead of telling us that why there was a delay. I brought friends thinking this would be a good place based on reviews but was disappointed that they had a bad experience. They did adjust the bill for our experience which was at least a start to acknowledge our experience
The restaurant is really nice and clean. My reason for my rating is the temperature of my food, it was lukewarm. I ordered the grits, salmon, and kale dinner. I love my food piping hot and everyone knows there is nothing better than HOT grits.
The meal was delicious it just wasn't hot. I recommend trying the restaurant, but be sure to speak up when you place your order so you get the food the way that you like it.
We had a wonderful dinner. I had m the duck and it was Prepared perfect. Excellent service too. A great new gem.
Fabulous brisket, etc. on smoker night. We managed to save room for desserts which were all great, especially thePeach Tart and the ice creams. Best hush puppies in NC !
One of our favorite places for a date night or a friends get together!
The waitress was excellent, our problem was with prices. $14 for two, TWO, Scallops. They were a good size but restaurants we have visited recently have four for that price.
Menu selection is excellent and the food is prepared to perfection. Quiet enough to carry on table conversations even when the restaurant is full. The best new restaurant in Winston-Salem.
Heather's service was outstanding; attentive, but not pushy. Food is excellent and well-presented. A bit pricey especially for the atmosphere. First time there and we will definitely be back.
always a great experience
Birthday dinner for my wife. Wait staff was super friendly, and when a soup my wife ordered was not her favorite, they graciously took it back, without us even asking. They even brought out a separate amazing appetizer to replace it. Dinner was superb as always. Great date night.
It was just okay. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food however, it was just okay. Not worth the price, or the drive.
Food was superior. New takes on food and drinks. Waiter was competent and attentive. Ambiance good. There is an outdoor eating area. We are glad to have a nice restaurant so near to us in Pfafftown. The owners also have a more informal, family oriented place just next door in the shopping center, Stoked. Haven't eaten there yet.
This is the second time I’ve been here and it’s small enough where it’s intimate and not noisy at all. My husband & I enjoyed our food and I opted to try their lemonade...BEST DECISION. It tastes like someone’s grandma made it. We’ll definitely be back.
First time there? Get the hush puppies for an appetizer and the flank steak & frites.
Food was ok. Took a long time for food to come out. Not overly impressed with it. Was expecting better considering previous reviews.
