Fabulous! Nice surprise in a strip mall! The beet topped hummus was fresh and tasty. Homemade pita bread was notable! The duck was divine! Portions were perfect! Will definitely be back.

We were 4 ppl and had 2 appetizers to share . Ordered there warm goat cheese salad and shared. Had White fish, Salmon and Duck. We all had a taste of the three entrees and they were all excellent. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We were seated at 6:30. Our waitress took drink orders and when she returned with our drinks asked for our orders. Some of us were not quite ready, so she said she’d give us a few minutes. It was way more than a few before she returned. We ordered appetizers, which took quite a while to appear. We were well finished with the appetizers, but the table was not cleared. It took a very long time for our mains to come out. In fact, our waitress came to the table at least three times to apologize for the wait, the last time telling us they were short handed in the kitchen. The food was good, but the long wait did not go over well. We left the restaurant at 8:45 not very happy with the evening.

WE both had good meals. We shared the goat cheese stuffed beets which were very good. I had the duck breast with carrot potatoes which I loved. my dinner partner had the beef carpaccio which she loved. I had the Royal Lady cocktail which was very good and my partner had a Manhattan variation which was very good. Can't wait to go back.

We went for a weekday lunch and we both loved our food. I had the Beet Mezzo and the other person had the caprese sandwich. I encourage anyone who tried this place in the first month and was not pleased to give it another chance. I think the food has improved, the menu has changed some and the service we had was great.

Social Inn is a gem within this busy strip mall! The service was excellent and the food was delicious, especially the octopus appetizer and duck with carrot mashed potatoes. Highly Recommended!

Really delightful night out with a girlfriend. We sat outside on their beautiful patio area. The food was scrumptious (the duck, the CARROT MASHED POTATOES - chef’s kiss). We closed the place down and never felt rushed. Will definitely go back.

Mediocre service - had to get up and ask for water with only 4 tables in use. Pasta and chicken - nice taste, if you like a lot of pasta and little chicken. Probably will not go back.

Excellent!!! Could have eaten everything off of the menu. Highlight was special seafood salad and stuffed beets. Caliber of food made you feel like you were downtown I’m Chicago.

We ordered a salad as our entree and it was so small. The chicken we added on to the salad was maybe 1/2 a breast, if that. Very disappointing and expensive. The chicken kabobs - no vegetables were on the kabobs, just chicken - again, a very small amount for what was ordered. The rice was tasteless and soggy. Not what you would expect to go along with kabobs. No bread given. Server did not know beer on tap - you only had one or two. Very loud. I would not come back and will not rwcoend.

The food was very good. We ordered the special appetizer which was a seafood combo. It was delicious and enuf to eat as a meal. The servers were lovely and the service was perfect. We talked to George the owner from Bulgaria and he was very friendly.

This is a new gem in Northbrook. Food was delicious. Service was attentive. I think people don't realize it's there in a strip mall. Menu covers the Mediterranean. Everything was fresh and full of flavor and quality.

Attractive space located in a strip mall. Excellent service. Our food was delicious. Mediterranean and healthy-ish. We shared 2 appetizers - hummus with beets and pita; and fried zucchini chips with yogurt sauce. Also shared an entrée of shrimp skewers with rice and chimichurri sauce. Would definitely go back. Very pleasant evening.

This is a great local spot. Much better than you might expect to find in a strip mall location! Very good food and service, nice ambience. Patio is very nice if you do not mind the parking lot view.

This is a hidden gem! Can’t believe it’s been there since August and we just discovered it. Everything we tried was delicious. Caesar Salad was superb. My husband had the octopus and it was amazing. Tried the beets and goat cheese and that was really tasty. Finished up with the crème brûlée. Will be back with our daughter when she visits.

Our first time there. Everything was fresh and delicious. The reason I didn’t give it a five was because we sat outside and the way the legs are positioned underneath the table made it hard to get comfortable. Our guest kept shifting his legs to try and get comfortable. He’s about 5”5 so I can’t imagine someone taller. Other than that I would highly recommend.
