Social House 7
I already recommended to a friend. the food was excellent and the service was fast.
We've been to Social House 7 several times and all visits have been great. My out of town business guest loved it! We had sushi, robati and craft cocktails, all were excellent! Davide, our waiter, is always charming too! This was likely our best visit. Can't wait until we see some of the new items Walter has in store! See you again soon!
We had a great meal at Social House on Saturday night. The menu was interesting and the food was delicious. I have a food allergy and my meal was prepared taking that into consideration. The service was amazing(the “French Guy”) and the atmosphere relaxing. We especially enjoyed the music. Great place and convenient to the Cultural District.
The food and the atmosphere were grand but the service was not anything close to what was expected. Not satisfied !
Second experience at Social House and it has definitely gone down hill. Ordered a variety of apps/smaller items and they were all good and came out promptly. Egg rolls were extremely salty. Waitress came over to check and confirmed that we had received all our food - we had not and were still waiting on the chicken from the grill. She said she would check but it would be “soon”. 20 minutes later she checked on us again and confirmed that we got everything and if we wanted our check - we told her we still did not get the chicken. 5 minutes later she came back with it and it was extremely underdone. We returned it and asked for a refund rather than waiting. Overall disappointed with the food and service - had a far better experience over the winter when we came.
This place is great but is always hot because of the open grill.
We had an amazing server (Jon) who is willing to make suggestions for us according to dietary restrictions. I personally eat vegan my husband does not they provided me a full vegan menu and then told me about items on the main menu that I could modify to become vegan. the food was fantastic the service was just as good and we will definitely be back.
Always a good choice but the robata grill closed? WTF?
I take all my friends here - always an outstanding experience.
Enjoyed Social House very much, atmosphere is exciting, decor is modern and the food and service were great. We stayed with the sushi menu and everything was very fresh and tasty and presented very well. They also have some tasty cocktails on the menu.
Great food! The $35 restaurant week special was worth every penny!
The food was great and they had a lot of vegan options for us. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. My only complaint would be that the music was fairly loud and was “today’s hits” type of a playlist which made the atmosphere a little too casual for the prices.
Beautiful trendy restaurant that serves a variety of Asian-inspired foods. I had avoided this restaurant before because my husband doesn't eat sushi, but we went with another couple for Restaurant Week when the menu appeared more diverse. My only complaint was that we did not feel the waiter had sufficiently warned us how much food was in the 3-course prix-fixe menu, so we stuffed ourselves with 2 orders and still took home leftovers. It turns out that the place is at least as much about "small plates to share" as it is about East Asian food. The mussels, steak, and salmon were excellent; the tuna was okay. The grilled asparagus was wilted, but the other sides were good (rice, salad). Good selection of cocktails, and great people watching. Server otherwise fit the bill. I would come back to try other items on the menu for a special occasion.
We arrived early for our 6:00 pm reservation on a Friday night and they seated us immediately. Molly was our server and she was great
Our food was great. I really recommend the ahi tartare and the broccoli. Our waiter John was absolutely amazing.
The “French dude” as he referred to himself as was an amazing waiter. We asked for suggestions and he gave his expert opinion. Everything we ordered came out very quick and was delicious. We will definitely be back!!
The food and the ambience was amazing! Excellent place for a romantic dinner or happy hour! We can’t wait to return!
We visited Social House for the first time, and were not disappointed! The "French Dude" was sweet and helpful in showing us the best menu selections. The brussel sprouts appetizer was incredible! I also loved the atmosphere. We'll definitely be back soon.
Server was excellent. His name was Jon and he enhanced the entire experience 10-fold. The food was all beautiful and tasty. The music that was playing when we came in was pop, which was weird, but other than that, everything was wonderful.
Everything was perfect. The food was excellent, wait staff knowledgeable and helpful, the booth seats were very comfortable and the atmosphere relaxing. Loved our dinner! The fortune cookie dessert was a wonderful surprise. So delicious!
It was very good. The food was good, atmosphere was great prices actually very affordable. I will return.
Such a good spot I never knew existed! My husband and I had a date night here. It was our first time here. Food came out so fast, we ordered an appetizer (dumplings were fantastic) we had a sushi order, ginger fried rice, sesame chicken, and the big fortune cookie. That was enough to fill us up. Every course was delicious. We can’t wait to go back
Rap music does not fit the atmosphere and was played way too loud for a dining experience
We liked everything we ordered except for the sword fish and seaweed salad. The swordfish just seemed undercooked and flavorless.
When we arrived Social House was busy for happy hour still. The crowds quickly dwindled however the service was lacking all night. Our server to my understanding had three tables she was accountable for one being a group of twelve. She neglected our threesome to cater to them all night. We ordered appetizers and 45 minutes later the hostess brought them to us. We were not offered any soy sauce for our sushi rolls or even checked on by our server. I tried to track her down and asked a guy at the bar for some and he game us the left over soy sauce from another party. There was barely anything in the dish. I quote “just take that one, it’s safe” . We watched as the table of twelve ordered multiple rounds of drinks and got them before we were even asked about entrees. Being an hour and fifteen minutes into dinner it was extremely frustrating to feel like an after thought as she walked by us maybe ten different occasions between appetizers and when we ordered entrees, never saying a thing. The server also left money on the table from the restaurant perspective, we had ordered wine and finished a bottle with our appetizers but was not asked until we were wrapping up our entrees (45minutes later/ 2 hrs into dinner) if we wanted more. Social House is a competitively priced dining experience and for most a nice evening out however when we were finished our meal took two and a half hours start to finish and I paid $220 for service I could have gotten at Chili’s . The food was excellent and we frequently have come to this spot. I probably won’t return here after how bad this last visit was.
We had a wonderful dinner- 3 of us were returning customers and 3 were first-time customers. The food was amazing as always and Molly’s service was superb-she was patient and attentive
Delicious. Quick service, close to theaters. Would go again.
Made reservations for 2 people at 6pm. We arrived early like 5:30pm, the place was dead only 4 tables were seated. I said we have reservations for 6 but if your able to seat us now that would be great, if not we didn’t mind waiting. The host had to “ask” someone behind the sushi counter if he could seat us early, the guy behind the counter said loudly sure welcome to my world like we were inconveniencing him. In our reservation I asked for a booth and reminded the host of that, he once again had to “ask” first, came back and said sorry those are all spoken for with reservations. I said I understand but 1 of those reservations is for us, and all were available except for 1. So finally said forget it and sat at the bar, the bartenders were amazing and the only reason we stayed. We ordered Brussel Sprout Appetizer & seemed way over cooked to me, the sushi rolls we not wrapped tightly they were literally falling apart had to roll a few back up ourselves. We order the “Pop Rock Roll” every time and were out of pop rocks ugh I am thinking you could just go to a local store and grab some, that is a very popular roll.
Side note: when we left ALL of the booths were still available.
On other occasions if we walk in there without reservations they treat you like trash, (“they’re just walk-in’s”) again not busy, no wait time.
Food was awesome and came quick! Even on a busy Saturday
Service was exceptional. Could have been a little bit larger portion for the marinated chicken skewers and marinated a bit longer. They were a tad on the dry side.
Flavors of the food are amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing and service impeccable!
My mom, sisters and I love Asian food and decided to try this restaurant before a CLO show. We started with egg rolls and Thai lettuce wraps. Our entrees were Scallop pad Thai, Social house chicken, Sesame chicken and Sweet soy marinated chicken. Everything was exceptionally tasty and portions were sufficient. The service and ambiance were perfect. I’m glad we chose Social House and would recommend it to others and will definitely dine here again.
Very nice, cool setting, very good food, I always visit when in town.
Service was great as usual but the food was not very good this time. The sushi is typically so good that I don’t want to share. This time I had a piece and couldn’t finish it. Hope it was just a fluke because we typically enjoy the restaurant
The pork belly was one of the most phenomenal dishes I've had. Huge, deliciously marinated chunks of pork. The sushi was good, but did lack a fresh taste I desired. It tasted like it might have been frozen, and I know that's a chance you take inland, but not being one of the "buffet" AYCE places, one would expect that nice fresh flavor of tuna or yamauchi. It was still delicious but just missed the mark a bit.
Service was lackluster and relatively slow. It was a Monday and not overly crowded thus our disappointment in the service.
Great Food and atmosphere! Plates are designed for sharing which adds to the experience.
This restaurant had the entire space open to the outside with no fans. This resulted in a humid and hot place to eat, which is not what I'm looking for especially with sushi. A poor choice.
The food was phenomenal. I loved the ambiance and decor. It was a great dining experience.
Love this place! Great food and atmosphere for a great price.
