Social House 7
Service was great as usual but the food was not very good this time. The sushi is typically so good that I don’t want to share. This time I had a piece and couldn’t finish it. Hope it was just a fluke because we typically enjoy the restaurant
The pork belly was one of the most phenomenal dishes I've had. Huge, deliciously marinated chunks of pork. The sushi was good, but did lack a fresh taste I desired. It tasted like it might have been frozen, and I know that's a chance you take inland, but not being one of the "buffet" AYCE places, one would expect that nice fresh flavor of tuna or yamauchi. It was still delicious but just missed the mark a bit.
Service was lackluster and relatively slow. It was a Monday and not overly crowded thus our disappointment in the service.
Great Food and atmosphere! Plates are designed for sharing which adds to the experience.
This restaurant had the entire space open to the outside with no fans. This resulted in a humid and hot place to eat, which is not what I'm looking for especially with sushi. A poor choice.
The food was phenomenal. I loved the ambiance and decor. It was a great dining experience.
Love this place! Great food and atmosphere for a great price.
One of best sushi rolls ever. Get the giant yellowfin tuna
The entree wasn’t not good but that the sushi wasn’t was great along with the the service
Welcoming staff and delicious entrees. John, our waiter, did a superb job in taking great care of us.
Great service. Interesting, flavorful good.
The place was empty and they rushed everything to the table. Food that should have been warm was barely tepid. Will never return and would never recommend it.
LOVE THE BRUSSEL SPROUTS, ATMOSPHERE & SUSHI! WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!
All the guests at our table thought the food was good, and well-presented. The only issue was the noise level, but it quieted down as soon as "Happy Hour" settled down.
This was my first time to Social House 7; dining prior to an event at Heinz Hall. The menu was great with a lot of different options. The sushi was excellent! Service was very slow - long wait for drinks and water refills. I would go back again though.
Ambiance is cool, but it was also freezing cold inside, only reason for the three ambiance score.
Incredible selection of wonderful appetizers and entrees. Wonderful decor and setting with easy access to main cultural attractions.
Service was a bit inconsistent at times.
Adapted menu for gluten free options due to Celiac disease.
The food was wonderful but the service was atrocious. The server took forever to greet us, check back, get drinks, etc.
I love going here pre-show. It's convenient and the food is always amazing. Every employee I ever encountered there was always pleasant and attentive.
We went for my mother’s 82nd birthday. The service was wonderful... food was extraordinary!!!
I can't recommend Social House 7 enough, especially for big groups. Honestly, I had been here in the past only one other time and was not blown away, but our service this weekend changed my mind entirely. We had a group of 14 for dinner and drinks to celebrate a bachelorette weekend at 7pm on a weekend where Arts Fest and Pride were both taking place downtown. We were not expecting anything about this night to be prompt. Our service was incredibly fast and accurate for such a large party with many different orders. We only spent an hour and a half there in total, got all of our checks accurately even with some complicated groupings, and had an amazing time overall. Thank you for the amazing service and food!
Service was perfect. The food was good not great. Some items much better than others.
Absolutely loved everything! Food, atmosphere, service. Definitely will be going back.
Excellent food and a good value for the portion sizes. Picture is of the Godzilla roll, which was very good.
Had the vegan menu. The food was tasty but some dishes were very overpriced ($24 for noodles and tofu).
The service was disinterested.
Host was great and let us know that the AC in the restaurant wasn’t working when we arrived.
Visited on an evening that the air conditioning was not working, so, there was no grill available. So, we decided to order sushi and apps. Loved everything so we will be going back for grill another time. The service was warm, prompt and friendly! Also, the cocktails were very refreshing as it was a little warm! Don't miss a visit here if you like asian fare!
The air conditioning was broken. It was so hot. No warning that it was broken. One of the most miserable dinners I’ve ever had. Our server was brand new. She hardly came to our table. Took forever to get anything and had to stop other servers to ask for stuff. I won’t be back.
We were downtown to attend the Gene Kelly Awards at the Benedum on a very warm evening (80+ degrees). Unfortunately, the a/c in Social House 7 was not functioning at all and it was extremely hot and uncomfortable in the restaurant. The management and staff were unconcerned with the comfort of the patrons ~ no warning was offered upon our arrival, nor was there any sort of appreciation shown to the diners who stuck it out to eat dinner in a hot humid restaurant. The beer I was served was warm and flat, so even that didn’t provide refreshment in the uncomfortable surroundings. I will think twice before I spend further money at this establishment.
Everything was great. Food, service, etc The only negative was that it was a warm day and they didn’t seem to have the AC running. It was a little too hot for my group. It didn’t stop us from loving our meals and certainly won’t strip us from going back!
Staff was very friendly, but the food was mediocre. We were in town for one night only and went to Social House 7 in a time pinch. Don't go unless your expectations are sufficiently low.
Dinner before the Garth Brooks concert. I discovered Social House 7 due to Groupon. This is my second time
All food ordered came at once. Was expecting food to be spaced out, not everything, including appetizers, to be brought to the table at the same time. Chicken was dry and quantity was not worth the price.
♥️♥️♥️ Sushi and Brussel Sprouts and Egg Rolls we and always are FABULOUS!
The lamb dish was superb. It would be a crime to discontinue it.
Windows open just added to the ambiance! Love this place! Yummy steamed dumplings, Thai chicken wraps, and of course delicious roasted brussel sprouts!
This was not my first experience at social house. However, the most recent experience was not pleasant. The appetizers were great, kids enjoyed their food, my order of rice was scorched and after three conversations with our waiter about a “special dish” not on the menu, it never came out. He said we never ordered it but we did and asked about it three times. The tables were not set up properly and were on a lean causing food to slide off the table. When I told our waiter about the spill and he see me trying to clean it off the girls dresses. I had to ask for help cleaning and he literally brought me out dry rags and threw them on my chair for me to clean and walked away. Service was terrible! I would go back because of the atmosphere and the food is good, just a bad experience. I would not get the same waiter.
Great lunch spot with cozy outdoor seating for nice spring/summer days.
We took a group of 8 out for a business meeting and were vary pleased. It is a tapas/sharing restaurant but we are a close group that really likes to eat so it worked out well. A few dishes that stood out were the bacon wrapped quail eggs and the rib eye.
This is the best restaurant in the city, and one of the best Japanese restaurants in the world. Decor and ambiance spectacular. Very lively happy hour in the lounge!
