Located inside the JW Marriott Denver in a spot long known as one of Cherry Creek North’s most popular gathering places, the new Social Fare features a sunlit dining room with a 300-bottle illuminated wine wall and floor-to-ceiling retractable glass doors that open onto a year-round spacious patio with a roaring fire pit.

Social Fare uses only the highest-quality ingredients, sourcing locally whenever possible. The eclectic menu starts with Social Bites that are meant to be shared, Gorgonzola Garlic Bread, Blackened Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. For the price the food wasn’t that great. Cold Benedict’s and warm prime rib at best. Would not recommend.

We made our reservation with ample time to get to a play. When we arrived a few minutes early, there was a long line and no hostess. Some people said they had been waiting over 20 minutes and no one had helped them. When the hostess arrived, one of the groups said it was not 30 min past their reservation, they were told to wait longer, and they left. We asked and were told our table was begin cleaned, then the hostess disappeared for 20 or so minutes. We were finally seated half an hour after our reservation time, only about half of the tables had people, so I don't think there was an over booking or capacity issue. Also no on ever brought us water. We asked a busser and they dissapeared never to return. Our waitress seemed rushed and over worked, but was very attentive, caring, and service oriented. Clearly there were management issues, not wait staff issues. She was going far above and beyond! She never once complained, but just provided great service despite appearing way too over extended. The attendant in the kids area was also incredible and great with the kids and great at communicating with us parents. Our waitress put in a rush order, and the food was amazing. But sadly we had much less time to eat it then we would have liked and felt very rushed due to being seated so late.

Stopped in for social hour and found the best deal in Cherry Creek. $1 tacos were amazing and great tasting cocktails.

What a surprise! They have added the mile high meatloaf back to the menu, couch potatoes were amazing. Service was attentive and had a great personality!

Not impressed at all. I made a reservation for brunch at 12:30pm. I received a confirmation at 12:10 that our table had been sat. We arrived at 12:15pm to a sign at the front that the restaurant seating was closed. A server asked if she could help us. I told her about our reservation for 4 at 12:30. She said wait I'll be right back. hen the manager came and asked if he could help us. I told him about our reservation. He asked us to wait. Then another server came and asked us if she could help us. I told her about our reservation. Her answer was that they did not block off the times and the restaurant was closed. The kitchen was closing. Then the manager retuned and sat us. We did order. However, they were out of chorizo and 4 of the main items on the brunch menu were made with chorizo. We did eat. It was ok. Nothing special. We will never go back.

My husband and I had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us after seating. Service was ok but they seemed to be understaffed.

The mimosa and Bloody Mary juice area was always dirty and sticky. It really needs to be cleaned and checked on periodically. Really gross! Other than that, the service was good, atmosphere was nice and food was delicious.

I was somewhat apprehensive going into brunch on Sunday because of the negative reviews but we had a great experience. Our server could not have been nicer and more attentive and the food was very good. There were 6 of us and we all got something different and no one was disappointed. Great make your own Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar! Would absolutely recommend for brunch.

We both ordered potatoes with our breakfast, neither got it, then we asked again, one got it. Others never came. We both ordered fruit and to start only one got it. Had to request that again. English muffin for eggs Benedict were grilled on one side and not toasted, basically in cooked through. Wasn’t that busy and there was nothing exceptional about what we ordered. Just not good.

Warm and inviting atmosphere, as usual. Welcome started on arrival with our valet, Dan. He takes special care with us and we’re so glad he’s back. Our server, Jason, makes each visit fun and is both efficient and friendly. Food is always delicious. Great outdoor seating, especially this time of year. We’ll be back again and again.

My niece from out of state was staying at the Marriott. We met her at the hotel restaurant, Social Fare for lunch. The staff was friendly. The service was timely. The food was presented well and good tasting. All in all it was a lovely lunch.

This is your typical upscale hotel restaurant and bar. The service, while friendly, was slow. And we waited 20 minutes for one dessert (bread pudding).

I used to frequent this restaurant when it was Second Home and always loved it. Now that it is Social Fare the menu has fewer items and the food wasn’t as good as it used to be.
I was also disappointed in the hostess who tried to seat us by the kitchen despite us having a reservation and there being several tables open that were in better locations. When we asked for a better location she seemed put out by the request.
I probably won’t go back.

We LOVE coming to brunch here on the weekends! The food is wonderful, the indoor/outdoor seating is very relaxing, the staff is so friendly and attentive, and we’ve taken our young son with us quite a few times and he’s been treated so well! This is one of our go tos for sure!

I had been going here for years while it was called Second Home and never really had any complaints. Now that it's under a new name everything seems to have stayed the same with the exception of a few items that are no longer on the menu. The atmosphere is still great and the bar/patio area hasn't changed. However, I will say that I was pretty disappointed with the food. Although the service was good, the food was totally bland and lacked any flavor and was also very overpriced. The price point is probably because the restaurant is now owned by JW Marriot. Regardless, there are plenty of other places within walking distance that are priced better and taste 10x better. It's still a good place for drinks and social gatherings but definitely pass on the dinner menu.

Food was fine and server was inexperienced. Asked about a dessert wine and was offered only one option without ability to see a menu. Was surprised at bill when it was $40 for a small glass of port. Later found out there were several options. Not special enough to go back.
My wife had the brisket which had a nice BBQ sauce with it. I had the tri tip with chimichurri which was more peppery than garlic.

The only reason I didn't give food five stars was the side of spinach was a wad of wet, overcooked veg. However, best mussel sauce we've ever had, very good short ribs. Not a ton of menu variety, but that's often true with ultra-fresh menus. Adult atmosphere also great for well-behaved kids. Beautiful table indoors, but open wall of windows to patio.

Would definitely return.

Poorly made and ill presented food. Could not eat it. Also hot food served room temperature. Server thought nothing of bringing it out to the table. Several dishes missing ingredients. Won’t be going back there and advise others to follow suit. Too many other great choices in Cherry Creek to waste time, money and togetherness with family and friends at this establishment.

I was expecting a new restaurant but it was the same menu, drinks, decor, etc. as Second Home — except the service was worse. I expected a new menu at the very least, but it was such a letdown. This is Cherry Creek. Look at what you’re competing with. Overhead for a restaurant inside the JW can’t be cheap but it’s like they aren’t even making an effort. The food was good at least and I enjoyed the company I was with immensely but I probably won’t be back, at least as long as it’s Second Home-Social Fare.

Would not recommend. We went on Mother's Day and the buffet was very over priced for the food offered. The food was cold, bacon was under cooked, and buffet items were definitely not worth $49.00 a plate. The previous management offered a much better dinning experience.
