Beautiful outdoor seating. Server had a lot of tables and could have used some help but still was very attentive and kind.

Great spot, loved the indoor and outdoor choice. We had the zucchini frittata app which great, shrimp scampi meal and tiramisu dessert. Great food great service. We were leaving as a gorgeous girl with an amazing voice was singing in the outdoor area. Will be back soon.

I had the grouper piccata which was great. My other half had the salmon with shrimp rissoto and asparagus, except they forgot the asparagus, unless it was puréed into the risotto...I don’t think so. Otherwise, she would rate her meal as great.

The “Craft” element wasn’t apparent when it came to their beer selection. A bit limited and disappointing. The selected wine was so so, but that’s a personal taste.

Will we go back, you bet. The outdoor space is great, as was the food. The plates and pizzas on other tables looked very good, too.

Took 4 friends, 3 of whom had never been to Social Eatery, and everyone was very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. One of my favorite places in Sarasota!

The staff was very helpful in getting our large party seated, even with a few couples were late arriving.
The food was fantastic.

second time at Social and food wasn't as good as the first. My chicken dish had one piece that was tough, but had a tasty preparation. Our friends meal wasn't prepared as he had requested and it took a while to get a new dish. Service was fine, it wasn't busy so more attention in the kitchen would have made our meal better.

Great food great service amazing entertainment

Social is one of the best Sarasota area restaurants for quiet outside dining. Whether in the back by the fire pits or on the outside deck, the ambiance is perfect, with no cars anywhere nearby.

After a kitchen chaos on our previous visit, we returned to an excellent meal. Octopus pasta was subzero with good heat, salmon was unusually good. Good service and an outside ambience adds to making this one of the city’s best.

This restaurant has the coolest vibe. My sister and I were so excited to go. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were so completely underwhelmed. The valet attendant parking our car, the bartender as well as the hostess were so unwelcoming and borderline rude. The food was average. They need to work on this because the concept and the vibe could be super cool.

Food is excellent. However, a number of things on the menu were not available. We should know this before the waitress is taking our order. We had to make quick changes and one meal came without one of the major ingredients.

Menu was crafted unfortunately more creatively sounding than tasting. Food was bland and pizza tasted like frozen Supermarket pizza. Wine pour was also unfortunately small. Great ambience and service however.

This usual professional staff with first rate food completed fail. Once the manager learned we had waited at our table for 25 plus minutes to enter a drink order, was apologetic and offered to cover our drinks. ( which he did)

Our female server was ( to be kind) hopeless. We did not have theater tickets that evening like the adjoining table of ten, who were served with 20 minutes to eat to make the show after waiting 1.5 hours for their food. She was also waiting their table.

After nearly two hours the heat lamp was refilled by the manager. Everyone was chilled and the food quickly cooled.

Not sure why the melt down..save the managers efforts to help and the kitchen wait staff doing their best to deliver food from a very slow kitchen it was very disappointing . We will return, because the past service/food has been good....but another repeat, would certainly push us to enjoy the many other stellar restaurants in the city of Sarasota.

Food was creative delicious and worth the trip. Service was excellent portion was so large I get to enjoy it again at home

Awesome place with great outdoor bar and seating but service and food needs to improve.

The most unpleasant dinner experience in more than a decade, culminating in departing without a meal.
Drinks and appetizer were slow in coming, but at 7:10 we still did not have the entres we ordered despite telling our server that we had 8:00 theatre tickets. Finally asked for manager, who was very nice with apologies and then a gift certificate of unknown amount. Left hungry and very disappointed in a restaurant we knew from earlier visits was excellent.
All this exacerbated by bringing visitors from Denver for the one nice dinner planned.

I was actually a little disappointed. Cool environment and the people were nice. Food was just ok...especially for the prices. Too many other restaurants to choose from close to FST to return.

Very fun and good food. Service was attentive but a bit slow.

Horrible. Beyond loud. Indifferently prepared, boring food. Extremely inattentive service, had to physically get up to track down the wait person to get water and tea refills. Who didn’t, BTW, EVER come by to check on us. Understaffed. Sometimes it can be good here, but this place was so god awful bad this evening we will never return.

I would not recommend Social Eatery for any food. We have been there several times before for drinks and it's been a great atmosphere. Despite not being a very busy Friday we had very poor service and even worse food experience. We ordered two bottles of red wine while waiting and both bottles was served way to cool. The food took more than 1.5 hours to get. And when we got food it was serve to only one of the guests in our party while the other three had to wait for another 15 minutes. Food was not warm when served and the pasta dish was undercooked. We will not return to this restaurant.

While the ambiance and service were lovely, the food and wine list were terrible.

love eating on the cozy sofa's in the back. servers are SO attentive and nice.

One more downer about this place—there is usually a line outside of each gender’s restroom, because each one has only one stall. Please, this is a busy restaurant, how ridiculous!

Our house guests took my wife & me to Social as a "thank you". Very relaxed atmosphere, great Italian food, & super service.

Food was great but very slow in coming. We asked for bread which didn't arrive until the food did but we were comped a bottle of wine. Although the design is attractively modern it is loud inside where we had to sit because there was a party outside. Our first visit was perfect. This one less so because of the service. The food was wonderful both times.

Ratings based on restaurant being very understaffed and therefore slow service. Waitress blamed new bartender for drink error. Pizza doughy and under-cooked. Had to ask another waitress for our bill. Soup delicious, good atmosphere. Would try again.

Just as phenomenal as ever! Pork belly appetizer is to die for as well as the other appetizers and entrees we had. Socials wine selection never ceases to amaze and the weather for dining in their outside courtyard was perfection. Parents were in from out of town and this was an absolute request from them for their Saturday night! Social does it again... straight ACES!

I had a great experience and it was my first time food was great service was amazing and drinks we perfect I will for sure be coming back!!!! A+ 100%
