It was so much fun! There was singing and dancing, and they even grabbed people dining at the restaurant to come up and dance with them! It was loud but definitely a fun spot for a special night. A little overpriced.
Food and service excellent. Staff is warm and welcoming
Disappointing - have had Paella at many other Tapas and this was average at best.
Good food, good service and loud but nice vibe.
Live flamenco performance was amazing
Sorry to say, but this past, second time around, visit was a disappointment. Friday night is just too full and too loud. But mostly, at $26/head a paella for four should be much more satisfying then what we had. It was not too much bigger than a serving for 2. That, and the calamari in it was too gamey.
Good food, very good service, over priced.
It was a great evening with authentic music and dancers! The paella was incredible and the staff is super friendly
Absolutely fantastic experience! It’s one of my favorite places to go. Delicious food, warm and welcoming staff!
Everyone was so friendly. The food was amazing. The entertainment was awesome. My friend and I had a blast. I can’t wait to go back.❤️
Great food and ambiance. The manager was so nice and very attentive! Would definitely recommend
Amazing food. Amazing service. The flamenco was amazing. Already looking forward to coming back.
Amazing food and great seevice!
Best paella in the city; classic staple bacon wrapped dates, delicious pulpo, great scene. Top 10 on my go-to list with friends.
EXCELLENT all the way around! Food, service, atmosphere outstanding!
Great food in a fun atmosphere. The staff was great helping us with the menu and the entertainment was awesome. Had an unexpected great time with a great meal.
The food was delicious and our waiter was not only helpful, but informative on the paella.
Unique ambient with variety of food options. Great if you like good paella. Cocktails very good.
Bland paella, loud place with a wait staff with could care less
Great food. Paella is awesome
Excellent selection of appetizers- half off at happy hour. Fun atmosphere at bar. Great wines and service.
Amazing food, service, ambiance, people and vibe
Great experience. Excellent food and great service. Place a bit too small
It’s a really good place to eat a great food! Go there on a Tuesday if want to listen to some great Spanish live music :)
I love this place for many reasons. It reminds me of Barcelona a lot. The food is always great. The staff is friendly. They have flamenco nights, the only downside is that they are never on the weekends and because I live so far I can’t always go there. When we were there on Tuesday, the owner or manager said hi to us and ask us how our food was. Also seemed a little saddened by the fact that we couldn’t stay too long to enjoy the flamenco. I love flamenco and I love this place and I will go back again.
Amazing food and sangria, but sat us 25 minutes after our reservation time.
4 friends and I dined at Socarrat for a bachelorette party, and had an amazing time. The service was outstanding and the staff both friendly and knowledgeable. The 5 of us shared 6 tapas and a lobster paella dish, in addition to some sangria. Everything was really delicious, and most serving sizes were slightly larger than expected for tapas. The paella was definitely the highlight of the meal, complete with an entire lobster.
Ambiance is perfect and food delicious! Perfect for a date, gathering with friends or family. Upbeat Spanish music and wonderful waitresses. Mostly bar stool seating with some standard height tables. Came with my parents and elderly grandmother on a Friday night: Andres the manager was able to accommodate us with a standard height table which I’m super grateful for. Would definitely go back!
Great food, we had the classic paella and it was a little bit burn but it tasted it really good! Sangria was perfect! Only regular thing was our waiter, we saw he was very into other tables, we could tell how he would service other tables better than ours.... but still a very good place, my favorite for happy hours and great appetizers.
Phenomenal food but inattentive staff that copped an attitude with our group when THEY made a mistake on the bill. This certainly left a bad taste in our mouths. The issue was eventually resolved, yet overall I am disappointed by our experience.
I was looking forward to coming here. My friend and I went for brunch. The servers were nice people but service was completely disorganized. We had to find our waiter, several different people served our table. What confused me is how empty the restaurant was.
The food was even more disappointing. I ordered a spanish tortilla. It was not at all fresh, I felt as if I was eating left overs. In addition it was way too greasy. The mimosa were orange juice with a splash of champagne.
They forgot to pack our dessert which was part of the prix fixe we paid for.
Nice people but terrible service and food was not good at all :(
I doubt I will return.
Socarrat Paella bar is excellent. The food is consistently good and the wines are interesting (and of course good!). This was my first time at the Nolita location and I found it a bit more comfortable in terms of seating than the Chelsea location which I've been to many times. But in all the essentials it was much the same and lived up to the high standards of food I know from the Chelsea location.
Grilled octopus and fried artichoke were AMAZING! Paella wasn’t as impressive but still a great spot with good value.
That had to be the worst Tapas place I've ever been to. The food had no flavor and tasted like it was all frozen nothing fresh. The only perk was that the sangria was good. Wish I would have ordered a pitcher of it, maybe the food would have tasted better. The place is just awful, stay clear.
The food was good, service also good. But it was very noisy, I had to yell to be heard. Maybe I’ll try at a different time.
The waitress was really nice and explained to us how to properly consume the paella goodness!
We had a vegetarian with us, so ordered the vegetarian paella, and I was pleasantly surprised!
the octopus appetizer is good too.
Delicious tapas , great and authentic paella. Dessert was fine, and service could be a little faster but other than that it was a great experience with friendly servers, a cozy ambience and tasty cuisine. I will definitely be returning.
Always a great time on Tuesday’s for flamenco night! I take friends and family and I even have gone solo dolo and sketched while I enjoyed the tip tapping of flamenco heels on a wood deck. The Privana Pinot Noir is my go to, and the tapas are all amazing. The pork belly and Brussels sprouts are also great. All in all, it’s a great place. And it’s not a bit loud. It’s VERY loud. But it’s also not pretentious! It’s so amazing to come into a restaurant and be absolutely blown away by the talent. Cheers.
This restaurant use to be a guaranteed nice dining experience--- was it Saturday rush that influenced our experience this time? I don't know. I probably won't go back any time soon and risk having another "ok" experience.
