   Everything was great and our server ( I forgot her ñame but was a Mexican lady) was so nice and sweet, we really enjoyed our time there!

   This restaurant never disappoints! Such a unique and delicious experience. I recommend going to the Nolita location n Tuesday’s night for the live Flamenco dancing❤️

   Socarrat Nolita has been “our place” for a long time and will continue to be! Such a special restaurant in every way.    My husband and I dined at Socarrat on Mulberry Street on Saturday evening. We were given a comfortable corner table. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and the seafood paella. The server told us it would take 30 minutes for the paella. We were fine with that. In the old days, they may have given us some bread and butter or olive oil. Not anymore. The place has a cozy vibe and the noise level was tolerable. The Sangria was excellent. But the paella, not so much. Most of the seafood (with the exception of the shrimp) did not taste fresh and, it needed chorizo or something to give it a little kick. As it was, the dish was very bland. And I understand that the rice on the bottom should be crispy, but it was all crispy. I wanted to love it, but, alas, the reason for our visit was disappointing. Fortunately, the flan we shared for dessert was very tasty and we struck up a lovely conversation with the couple at the next table. If I return, I will order the paella with chicken, chorizo and seafood. And I’d probably come on a Tuesday when they offer flamenco.
