Pretty good food! The Paella was delicious. I would have like a few more coffee options. Overall, the experience was great and we had excellent service.

Went during happy hour and sat in the bar area. Half priced tapas and $7 sangria. The Napoleon was great. The suckling pig and lamb was good but lacked any depth in flavor

We love their tapas and paella. Unbeknownst to us, they had a 3 course lunch menu that was a great value. Service is excellent and friendly. We don’t live in the area but travel to Socarrat to dine there. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful paella! Good sangria. Attentive service! Interesting wine list. Great place to use sign language - too noisy to hear your table-mate.

The restaurant was nice and the server was good. But one of the dishes that arrived was incorrect. As we only had an hour between meetings we did not have time to send it back. Two of the main courses were very nice but on one the fish was undercooked.

Absolutely the worst Spanish restaurant I have ever been in. Beware menu prices are inaccurate Paella is listed as per order when in fact it is per person charge and they will charge you double the listed price as you must order 2 of the same. This is clearly fraud which I wouldn't mind if the food was any good. $72 for a 1.25 lb overcooked lobster with burnt rice --- just plain wrong !!!

Food was great. Six of us got four orders of paella and tapas and still have some leftover paella to take home. First time I tried their karne paella and thought it was just delicious. Also enjoyed the gambas that had a little kick and the brussels sprouts tapas. Try if you havent been there. I will definitely return.

We were attracted to the $25 lunch, but then saw there were more interesting options on the dinner menu and ordered from there. We shared a few of the small plates and then two kinds of paella - one with mixed seafood and one with beef, sausage and chicken. Everything was very good and the service was friendly. The venue is surprisingly small and must get crowded when it isn't warm enough to sit outside. We might try a different location next time.

Delicious tapas and paella. We had the pescados y mariscos, and it was fantastic! Took us back to our honeymoon days in Spain :) Service was top notch, as well. Very friendly hostess, and a very attentive waiter.
Will definitely be coming back soon.

The rice in the paella was to die for. So full of flavor it was absolutely stunning. Which is why it was so surprising that the lobster was soft and mushy, and the scallops, shrimp and calamari were totally tasteless. The rice had the perfect crunchy crust around the edges and was moist and yummy in the middle. So...I ate the rice and picked out the fish. But $39 is a lot to spend on a dish of rice no matter how yummy it is, when you have to pick out the seafood.

I always enjoy the tapas here. The staff has consistently been attentive and friendly. This is a restaurant that is now one of my "go to" places for a meal alone or with friends - I'm never disappointed. The octopus is amazing!

I really like the paella. Probably one of the best I have tried in NYC. But it was not very pleasant that the waiters always tried to clear the plates even before we are completely done with the food or implying that we should get the check.

The tapas are delicious, the guest sitting next to us actually let someone in my party taste their paella and they said it was also delicious! The service is always outstanding here. I will be back again and again.

Excellent food, paella done right. Came during happy hour and wouldn't again. Very very loud , playing Celine Dion, Nsync and other music that ruined the ambiance.

I was having an early dinner (5PM) on my own, so they sat me in the bar area which meant I got half price tapas - this was an unexpected benefit. The food was great and the service was outstanding. This is my new go to place for lunch or dinner.

Met a business colleague for lunch and sat outside on 2nd Avenue to enjoy the lunch prix fixe menu. While the price appears steep ($25/person), it includes an appetizer, main (including some of the paellas) and a dessert. My colleague had the bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed dates and I had the gazpacho (Andalusian-style) as appetizers, we shared the paella of the day (made as one large dish) and both had flan for dessert. We had excellent friendly service that was helpful but not intrusive and great food. My only quibble about the food was the gazpacho lacked any texture at all - I make an Andalusian-style gazpacho that I think is enhanced by some finely-minced ingredients stirred into it.

The food was great, I sat outside as it was quite busy - apparently they have a happy hour that draws a crowd, but that didn't impact the excellent service or the food I ordered arriving quickly to my table (I ordered several tapas). Finished my meal without feeling rushed with a drink and coffee. As a side note people walking by on the sidewalk commented on how delicious the squid looked that I was gobbling down👍

My college friends and I went to Spain together a few years ago and have been trying Spanish/tapas restaurants in NYC to try and find that genuine, authentic Spanish taste- and we found it here! Paella was amazing (we had squid ink & soccarat). Tasty sangria & great service!
