so•ca derives it’s name from several sources: a Peruvian word for sugarcane, a popular style of Caribbean music, and inspiration from a well known geographical divider, the Tropic of Cancer. Located just north of the Equator, this line of latitude divides many countries around the world. so•ca centers its focus on the islands and Americas south of this geographical border (south of the tropic of cancer).
Located on the corner of Oberlin and Clark Ave, so•ca cocina latina brings the flavors of this region to Cameron Village where we share our exotic culinary story seven nights a week during dinner service and on the weekends during brunch. Many of the items on the so•ca menu allow diners to travel to these unfamiliar lands without needing to leave the comforts of the Triangle.

Soca never disappoints! Food was amazing! Drinks were delicious! All the staff was friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to go back!
The food is very good and the chef was very accommodating to our party that had some special dietary request not on the menu. I would recommend them for special occasions.
So pleased that so ca is back open again
They lost nothing of their culinary skills while closed
The small plates are innovative and excellent with some interesting new additions
Cocktails are great as are the wine choices mainly from South America
The pork cheeks are so good we could have made an evening just eating them
Outdoor seating is perfect these cool evenings
The food is absolutely fabulous! We loved the skewers the best as a small plate, and the empanadas, which amazingly are gluten-free, as well. The service was incredible. We felt duly spoiled by the time we left. Our cocktail was tasty, although not anything particularly spectacular. Eating at Soca is, overall, an event to remember!
So happy that SOCA is once again open for dinning. The food is great; the South American/latin flavors are unique and bold but never overpowering. Their wine selection is very good - if you're into an earthy wine the Lapostolle Carmenere is great. The Columbian Pan de Yuca appetizer is a must have; for the meat lovers the Adobo Tomahawk Pork Chop and the Brazilian Feijoada are also a must try. You'll also find seafood and vegetarian dishes.
The staff is just awesome - friendly and attentive, they and go out of their way to make your experience a great one! The decor is elegant and a great place to get celebrate your special occasion or just get together with friends.
SOCA is casual fine dining at its best!
Great food and great service. It was a bit cold outside but the service did everything to make it warm and enjoyable.
What a wonderful experience dining outside for our first experience at SOCA! The food and ambience was fantastic and we will definitely be back!
Great service! Delicious food, very clean and beautiful ambiance
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the world. Small plates are a great size and packed with flavor. The specials are always innovative and well thought out. Cocktails are boozy and delicious. Samantha is the most wonderful server, we had a great night.
SOCA was awesome as always. Cocktails are well crafted. Salmon was perfect and the stuffed avocado is an excellent choice. i put moderate for noise level. we were outside. hard to control anything there. SOCA has done a great job in setting up great spaces outside for eating.
Super chic and delicious. Great date night or girls night out spot!
Food and service were great! Soca has a separate menu for Vegan options. Great choices for our entire party.
Food was quiet. Initially so was the service but server kinda disappeared after being us the entree.
The food is outstanding, as well as the customer service.
So ca never disappoints. Every dish ordered was amazing. The churrasco and the salmon , all delicious. And the desserts are like no other.
Compliments to the Chef!
great for date night or a casual night out with friends.
I love so•ca! It's my favorite restaurant in the Raleigh area. Food is always delicious and the service is always great.
Good small plates and nice outdoor seating. Enjoyed the options for red South American wines. Service was very good.
The large patio provided privacy and an outdoor heater for our table. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and made several excellent recommendations.
The food was exquisite with delightful presentation. Tuesday night is half-priced wine night so we enjoyed an excellent 2011 Santa Carolina Carménère.
Very nice entrees and awesome Tres Leches dessert
They adhered to social distancing, wore masks, and made it as fun as can be given the situation. Food was delicious and the cabanas were fun!
Back in 2 years and service and quality are still excellent! Nice set up outside with privacy drapes that feel very cozy and intimate with heat lamps. As always, the food and cocktails do not disappoint and were delicious!
Service was excellent. Noise form the street but restaurant ambiance itself is great. The food was ok. Not a lot of flavor in dishes. Drinks are good. Would not be a top option for me again
Very nice outdoor seating options - wonderfully prepared drinks, dinner and dessert! Super helpful staff - highly recommend this restaurant!
Loved the relaxed, open and welcoming ambiance. The service (shout out to Dara!) was absolutely on point. As awesome as the atmosphere and service are, the real star of the show is the food and it definitely does not disappoint. We had 3 small plates as appetizers, Salvadoran Chicken Empanadas (Chef's Grandmother's recipe), Crab Fritters and Argentinian Charred Pork Cheeks. All were fantastic with different tastes and textures with the Empanadas and the Crab Fritters being highly recommended.
I had the Seafood Moqueca as my main dish. It was a fantastic dish with buttery soft scallops, 2 huge perfectly grilled prawns and clams in jasmine rice and a sauce that were perfectly done with a light citrus taste with just the right amount of heat. My wife had the Adobo Tomahawk Pork Chop. It was tender, juicy and she said it was the best pork chop she has ever had. This is an awesome place for a date or special night out with friends with phenomenal service and incredible food.
Great outdoor patio seating!
My experience at SoCa was fantastic. Our waiter Frankie was amazing and we took all of his suggestions. Very happy
Excellent food and service!
Outstanding food and service. A little loud but tolerable near the busy road
So ca has a lovely set up for outdoor seating. We had an intimate dinner and enjoyed excellent food and service. Romantic ambiance!
Great south latin flavors with a wide enough menu to cover most preferences. Food has always been great and service always excellent. Staff is welcoming, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable on their menu. Great selection of wine and mixed cocktails.
Food and service was wonderful. We were there for a special birthday. Our one time out in a very long time. They sat us at the worst table. Between the check-in entrance, kitchen entrance, bathroom entrance and bar. I don’t know why they bothered to put a table there in the first place.
Fantastic for a special occasion--food was expensive ($175 for 2 small plates, 2 entrées, and 2 drinks each for my wife and I) but well worth it. Service was excellent, and outdoor dining setup was done very well--hard to tell you are sitting next to a busy street. Small plates were incredible--really enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and the pork tostadas. One of the best steaks we have ever had (ribeye cap), and the accompaniments were creative and perfect compliments to the main dish.
Great food and great atmosphere. Price point high.
I would recommend this place to my friends and family
Patio was a great setting for dinner. Table were spaced apart comfortably.
Great ambiance and outdoor seating was great. The food is good but nothing special.
Awesome food as always!! Love Soca
Great food, great cocktails and even better service! Cannot wait to return!
Our server was very accommodating! The manager made sure we were able to secure a cabana as per our reservation request. The food was amazing.
