    We were a party of 8 and sat at the large round table next to the bar. The food was very good, server was attentive, and we all had fun. However, the noise level in the dining room made it impossible to have a conversation with those sitting across the table. While we will return, I don’t think we will try it again on a Friday evening. The noise level was uncomfortable.

    All the serving staff were really friendly. We got seated quickly and served quickly as well. The scallops and beet salad were excellent. The charcuterie board was good as well. The restaurant was really cold- too cold for the weather we were having. All in all a good evening.

    Wonderful BD celebration for my mom - Meals were idea - Way meatloaf was the fan favorite for the men. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Dessert was to die for - creme brûlée and spiced cheesecake! Service was 5 star. Didn't feel rushed, enjoyed a lovely meal! Always a great place for a celebration or just a wonderfully relaxing dinner during the week.

    This was my first time visiting Sobo’s (and probably my last). Service was the best part of our experience. The food was average at best - soup was cold and crab cakes were spicy. Good wine selection. I am not a local - hopefully it was just an off night.

    Waitstaff friendly and efficient. Menu adequate, food presentation very good. Ambiance good. A bit pricey, but a good choice for a special occasion.

    Price for the hallibut was too high for the portion that was served. Way to much black rice. Salad was very good.

    The experience was starkly mixed. The menu was notably upscale since the last visit, which was a good thing. So,in summary, food was excellent and quite well prepared but expensive for what it was and definitely high relative to the rest of the experience. Service was very good, as always. The problem was the extremely high noise level from the closely adjacent bar and from the music being played through the restaurant speakers. The music was loud, blatant, and boisterous. The resulting ambiance was more aligned with a cheap clothing store which was attempting to stimulate purchases through the loud 'beat' than it was appropriate for a fine restaurant. The evening's fine meal was upstaged and ruined by the room's ambiance. What a pity! Salisbury needs good restaurants with fine food and a decent atmosphere for conversation and relaxation. This was not to be at Sobo's.

    Two girlfriends had a lovely dinner. The service was spot on. It was a quiet Thursday night. Try the tuna bowl. Absolutely divine. Highly recommend.

    Mostly happy. Meal came out backwards, entree, starter, soup, in that order. I will be back. I wish the menu on OpenTable matched the menu at the restaurant

    We both got the Black Sea bass, and loved it. Bok choy side and seaweed salad were great, too. Rice base perfectly done.

    As usual, the food was delish. My tuna was spicy enough but not too. Everything was fresh and arrived at the table hot. Our server, Gabby, was in tune with our table of 6 and very responsive, even providing individual checks. Thank you! The noise level is a bit much especially since a speaker was right about our table. The music was too loud and the acoustics in the restaurant have always been challenging for me. Probably due to lack of ceiling buffers. The place was hopping at 5:15 pm with the after work crowd. I recommend it.

    Excellent 1st Time Experience. Quaint ambiance-atmosphere. Great Food-Great Drinks. Have Schweppes Tonic-which is the Best! Wine was good-only thing could recommend is to add higher grade red wines-but my Syrah was excellent!

    I ordered the porterhouse but what you actually get is a strip. It was a big strip, no bone which should be a clue. It was good enough. My wife’s meal was sent back. Meatloaf was hot but all the sides were cold. Her meal eventually returned less the remaining onion ring. By this time I was nearly done and she had mostly lost interest. Strip lighting near us kept turning on and off, obviously a short likely from the Christmas decorations hanging from it. It could have been much better and should be. Frankly what you spend there for a meal really demands that. There was no attempt to make it right with us, which was surprising. Mind you, we really didn’t complain either, it was our date night and wanted to end it on a good note. It’s unlikely we will ever go back, which is disappointing. Southern Boys has much better, it just isn’t Sobo’s. Used to be good but something is off there. This used to be a place we went to often but the last couple experiences have turned us off. Just our experience.

    As always, Sobo's food and service are fabulous. The broiled salmon with wild rice and vegetables were GF & DF and spectacular. Gabby, our waitress, was attentive and pleasant. The decor was festive and cozy. One caveat, the noise level was, a few times, overwhelming. OpenTable calls it energetic however I struggled to hear my companion who was across the table. The acoustics could use a slight tweak.

    I have dined at Sobo's many times. The food is always superb. Last night was no exception. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The Winter root vegetables and wild rice were delicious.

    Sobo's is a solid go-to restaurant in Salisbury. The atmosphere is pleasant and the place is always hopping. Our server, Georgie, was exceptional, and we were a demanding table of 8. My only complain is that Sobo's loves its pork; it appears in almost every dish. They were able to accommodate my GF and DF food request.

    As always Sobo's met our dining experience. This is where we held our wedding reception 14 yrs ago. So celebrating my 54th birthday here was a delight. Highly recommended...

    Food was excellent! Started with crab dip and it was very good, big chunks of lump crab meat and great bread. I had the filet with lime-garlic shrimp and mashed potatoes. It was great! Their house steak sauce is very good. Wife had the burger and it was very good as well, the house made catsup and bbq mustard sauce was delicious. Service was outstanding, our waitress actually packed up our appetizer before the entrees came out, I was very impressed by that. Never waited for refills, wish I remembered our servers name, she had a nose ring and was super friendly. It’s pricey, but for good reason. Will go again for sure
