   I am only giving the one star ratings because this system won't let me write a review otherwise. I made a reservation at Snug Harbor over a month ago. I received a confirmation email the day before. It was dark and rainy when we drove to the restaurant and GPS lead us astray. When we finally got to the spot on the lake there were no lights and a "For Lease" sign on the building. So...no dinner and no advanced warning. We made our way to The Park Inn (lovely experience!!) and were informed Snug Harbor had to abruptly close due to staffing issues. I sympathize with that difficulty but would it have been so hard to call people and/or work with the online reservation system to alert guests?? Very disappointing.

   Arrived before the reservation time of 5:30pm.the restaurant was not open. No notice on locked doors..no notice from restaurant they where open o closed.. Bottom line poor communications from Snug Harbour restaurant...

   Restaurant was SEVERELY understaffed. This, of course, makes a meal less than acceptable. Food was good, but that's all.

   We hit a bad night. Wait staff told us 2 kitchen staff and 2 wait staff called in. Resulting in very long wait for our food. Steak u see cooked and potatoes cold. Waitress as attentive and comped most of our meal. Might call ahead before going next time.

   The quality of the ingredients along with the preparation is excellent and the entire staff is both friendly and helpful.

   I really enjoyed the visit to Snug Harbor. The food was amazing, only outdone by the view of the water. I highly recommend!

   Love the setting, food was decent and service was very good. A little over priced ($11 for glass of mid level cab) but willing to pay more for the ambience. Love Keuka Lake♥️ One thing that should be changed Or rethought is the floating docks.. TREACHEROUS! I would not recommend going by boat if you are unsteady on your feet. The floating docks were moving all over the place and it was a calm night. An elderly person would not be comfortable using these docks. We will def go again but by car!

   We had a confirmed reservation but they were closing up as we arrived due to lack of business. No notification and we traveled some distance to get there.

   Food was excellent, server was wonderful, & patient with our indecision. She was attentive but not bothersome. Large party in the same room was “celebrating” loudly , but hey! Who wouldn’t be happy to be at Keuka & Snug?

    So...eating anything right near the lake is great! Renovations to the restaurant are great! Our server was perfect. The food was good, but bland. Serving size was appropriate. Macaroni and cheese was cooked pasta with cheese sauce poured over it - not baked with cheese sauce in the oven - so, un-inspiring. Cole slaw was nearly tasteless. French fries were tasteless. French dip was tasteless - how is that possible? Hamburger had no seasoning at all that we could detect. This was our second visit since the re-opening. We loved the online reservation process - Great! If Snug Harbor is open into the winter, the locals would love it. In the 50s and 60s, Snug Harbor was open all winter and served things like spaghetti and meatballs. Not expensive to produce, but a real crowd-pleaser for local folks facing a long, boring winter in the Finger Lakes. The food needs to be improved if you want return customers.
