   Lovely pub, slightly off the beaten track. My food was delicious and our waitress was absolutely lovely - I felt sorry for her though as she was servicing a huge number of people on her own. The pub really needs more staff.

   Great pies! I particularly enjoyed the brie and beetroot pie. Appreciate having a more unusual vegetarian option.

   Food was good. Service very slow. We weren't told the specials. More importantly not asked if anyone had allergies.

   We had one of the best roast dinners we’ve had in a long time the beef was especially delicious. We would definitely go back. The staff were really welcoming as well

   Went here for a Sunday Roast a couple of weeks back . Lovely little place , beautiful food as well. Only thing I would say is a little pricey I thought . But apart from that very good .

   Visited on a busy Saturday lunchtime. We were well looked after, nice beer and nice lunch in a dog friendly pub.

   Absolutely delicious!! We had the Valentine’s menu, my partner had the French onion soup, I had the mushroom pate followed by the root veg and halloumi pie and I had the catch of the day, a seabass filet with crispy skin (not a single bone), perfectly al dente vegetables and a rich, smooth Hollandaise sauce. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was fresh and zingy and the complimentary rose with chocolates was such a lovely gesture. We had our furry little boy with us too, who was given a yummy dog treat and we were given a table that had enough space so that we could tuck him away. We finished with the lemon cheesecake and the brownie. Both were light, tasty (& the brownie was gorgeously crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, super indulgent) and the perfect way to finish a fantastic meal. Thank you to both the front of house and kitchen teams, a truly lovely evening.

    We have been the snowdrop in several times and each time has been lovely, the customer service is always excellent and previously the food has been very good. Unfortunately our food and choices this time were not to the usual standard. We ordered 2 steaks (one medium and one medium rare) unfortunately we received a rare and a medium rare but that not one to be overly bothered by the rareness of the steak as long as the taste is at a high enough standard we didn’t ask for a new steak. Unfortunately the cooking of the steak was not great, The fat was not rendered on the outside which left us with mass amounts of chewy fat and steak that lacked flavour. The sear on the steak was also not present and as a result it looked sadly grey and uninspired. However the positives were the shared platters, salt and pepper wings for starters were great, our sons Mac and cheese was very nice (even though he didn’t eat it himself, it did prove a good foil to add flavour to the steak) The fish of the day was excellently laid out and cooked perfectly. Our deserts of choc cheesecake and winter fruit crumble went down well. It was just a massive shame about the steaks and the lack of options on the menu due to stock running out. We really hope that on our next visit the food matches the excellent front of house service
