A la carte steak dishes grossly overpriced but salmon and trout were very good. Not keen on paying $100 pp for steak dinner with a salad and drink.

While the food was good and the service was excellent, for the price paid, I don't feel it was worth it. My husband and I dined there last year and felt the food was exceptional and portion sizes were a decent. This time, it was not as good, and the portions have gotten smaller for the same price. We will probably not go back.

Our dinner at Snead's 1912 Steak was in my opinion the highlight of our stay in Hot Springs. The wait staff was polite and professional. The chef stopped by our table to ask us how everything was. I found it very helpful that our waiter let us know that approximate sizes of the sides. Additionally, his knowledge of wine serving etiquette was uplifting.

We have eaten here on every trip to the Homestead. Their menu and dining room have been updated and are both wonderful. Service and food were fantastic. In fact, we made a second reservation before we left to revisit. I would highly recommend making a trip off property for a change of pace.

From reading previous reviews, must be under new management. The prime rib was one of the best, very flavorful. The roasted mushrooms were a perfect accompaniment. Lots of varieties, and roasted perfectly. Loved their homemade bread. Went two nights in a row. Our waiter Oscar was all that a waiter should be. Polite, accommodating, unobtrusive.

I made reservations for a party of three to celebrate a birthday. The staff was friendly although we did wait by the front door to be seated for several minutes without seeing a hostess or anyone except the bartender. The food was great especially the oysters which were recommended by the waitress. The portions were small for the price.

The table was too small for 4 people. The steak was very fatty. The waiter pushed hard for us to buy more food. The price is quite inflated.

This is one of the finest steak houses I have visited. I try to reduce my steak consumption as i get older, but couldn't hold back on the amazing ribeye. Wait staff was great as well.

The new ownership/management is a huge improvement over the Snead’s of years past. Although the selections are somewhat scarce, it’s obvious that great care is taken with each dish. The fried green tomatoes were excellent as were the tenderloin, mashed potatoes and rolls. I thought the mushrooms were a bit too salty but still very good. The portion sizes were MUCH larger than what is usually the case at upscale restaurants of this caliber. I’d recommend sharing which they happily do for a $5 charge. Service was also quicker. The wine list was decent with a nice range of choices. It was a lovely, yet pricey meal. I will return.

My husband and I love this restaurant! We come to The Homestead about once a year for golf, and always make a point of having dinner at Snead's. It has a very cozy feel and we love all the golf memorabilia. The service is always wonderful, as is the food. It's a bit expensive, but well worth it.

This is a conveniently located steakhouse about a 3 minute walk across the street from the Homestead Resort. Reservations strongly recommended. Food is good, and our server, Oscar, was great. Would return if we're ever in the area again.

We finally had the chance to enjoy a dinner at Sam Snead’s and the experience was tasty, memorable and yikes, a challenge for those wAtching their wallet!

The service was impeccable, and the oysters both raw and roasted super delicious. Ditto for the wedge salad and wine selection. Small appetite? Try sharing a large steak such as the tomahawk.

Good and service were great (which is all that really matters). The decor does seem to have somewhat of an identity crisis. Some might find this charming, but when you walk in it feels like a honky tonk bar crossed with a Montana lodge, but then there is a serious golf theme (hence the name).

We have been here many times and this was a special occasion. Everything was perfect except the simple fact I had ordered a very expensive bottle of champagne to be ready for us and it wasn’t. Other than that the meal was perfect. We will return!

We had an abysmal experience. 18 oz ribeye came out rare, sent it back and chef charred the ends and still rare in middle. Asked for a new steak at this point. Manager brought out the same cut in half steak overcooked with the message from the chef that it had been cooked perfectly to medium rare and chef was obviously angry. So unprofessional and completely ruined our evening. Staff at the homestead confirmed they hear this all of the time about this restaurant. Be aware!

This is a prototypical steak house, but with a good selection of non-steak options available. Service was excellent and not intrusive. My wife's hangar steak was properly prepared and paired well with the accompaniments. An order of the charred, honey glazed Brussels sprouts was excellent. My salmon was cooked to my directions and was also excellent. The brownie sundae we shared was very good with possibly the best tasting cherries we've ever had. Not inexpensive but prices are reasonable. We highly recommend Snead's (and lots of golf memorabilia for those who are into that).
