Smoking Lobster Ventnor is an award winning 2-Rosette restaurant located in the heart of Ventnor Bay, serving fresh, exciting & luscious Asian-Fusion cuisine for both adults and kids.

Our restaurant overlooks the ocean, so every meal is paired with breath-taking sea views.
Our local fisherman, Justin, catches our lobsters & line caught sea bass fresh for our use, so our dishes include the freshest possible ingredients from your local shores.

The bar menu reflects the elegant dishes from the kitchen, with precise, bespoke cocktails all prepared using fresh ingredients.

Family owned by the Giancovich's, with recipes influenced by their extensive travels around Asia, and by their childhood of growing up hunting, gathering, and spear-fishing for seafood.

We look forward to looking after you.
Note: Dogs are accepted upon request as limited spaces available for dogs. Open on Special Occasions on Sundays until Summer.

A truly exceptional meal, every single dish was superb and the staff were brilliant - one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. If you’re in Ventnor, you absolutely have to try this.

Varied menu from small plates to share to whole meal options, some of the small Plates are exceptional: scallops, broccoli are unique and Michelin level preparation.. We both had the monkfish tempura with slaw, new potatoes and a delish green salad of baby gem, temper stem broccoli, cucumber and endgame beans. It was outstanding and excellent value at £28. One had a glass of really very good Chablis, the other on iced tap water. Service friendly, efficient and good humoured. Sat outside in the sunshine but never felt neglected despite a very busy inside restaurant. The Smoking Lobster is a wonderful lunch or dinner option and brings back faith in a proper “eating out” experience!

We had a wonderful evening trying out the 7 course tasting menu which was superb. So many flavours with such beautiful presentation. The service was perfect and we all left feeling very happy. We will 100% be back.

Everything was outstanding; service friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We ordered from the small plates menu, and had eight fish, meat and veg dishes, which was about the right amount for us as we are not big eaters. The quality of the ingredients was obvious and everything was cooked to perfection.

The Smoking Lobster offers excellent seafood with a tapas style of small plates. We chose the seafood platter however as the selection which included sea bass, lobster, scallops, crab and tuna was too much to resist. There were Chinese and Japanese twists to some of the flavours, all of which worked and were not overpowering. Add in some seriously good, unique cocktails and all provided by professional yet relaxed and friendly staff and you are left with an evening to remember.

As it was a special occasion, we opted for the seafood platter to share. And what a great decision. Just everything was cooked to perfection - the taste, textures and flavours were sublime, washed down with a wonderful Albariño and accompanied by friendly and knowledgeable service.

Lovely little restaurant great food value for money. Our waitress, Greta, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good advice on what to order.
