We decided to sit inside. It was about 7pm on a Saturday night. Not too crowded and no noise issues. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich, mac & cheese, and a cobb salad. For drinks we had a rose and a sparking wine, both were really good. The food was great. The only glitch was that the server forgot to put the sauces on the table….be sure to get the sauces. Once the sauce situation was resolved the meal was great.
All the servers were attentive and very friendly.

This is BBQ elevated! Gorgeous presentations and high quality and inventive BBQ in a comfortable pub-like setting. Great and friendly service; nice outdoor seating area. The ribs were moist with a crunchy exterior. Fries were plentiful. Mac and cheese completely devoured.

First time for this BBQ and was not disappointed. Unable to make a decision as to quantities in the different offerings, we decided to give it all a try with the "Whole Lotta' Cue." There was just two of us, so it definitely allowed for many tasty leftover lunches this week! The ribs, brisket and chicken leg were outstanding; the smoked chicken, sausage, pulled pork and turkey were tender and nicely smoked. Pork belly was a little fatty for me but my friend certainly pigged out on it!! For sides, we chose amazing baked beans, mac n' cheese and potato salad along with pleasing cole slaw. Nice, warm mini corn muffins accompanied by whipped butter rounded out our BBQ experience. Host and servers were pleasant and most accommodating. An indication of true personal interest in providing great 'cue, the pitmaster stopped by our table for our feedback. Ambience is well suited for a BBQ spot. Finidng a Clarendon parking happened to be easy this particular day, but if not, there is a nearby parking garage.

Came here after stumbling upon a food bloggers YouTube video. We ordered the everything platter that came with a sample of all their meats plus few sides. We also ordered an extra rack of ribs. I’ve had better BBQ but it was still good for a BBQ joint in Clarendon. The brisket and pork belly was good, everything else was a little on the dry side. However their sample of sauces made everything taste better. Service was very nice and accommodating. Can tell the server was new but she was very nice. Probably wouldn’t try again but it was still a good experience.

The quality of the barbecue is probably the best I have ever had. The staff is friendly and the service was quick. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

Our only complaint was the room temperature. The AC was either set to high or not working.

Hi SherilK, we're sorry that our A/C wasn't working properly during your visit. Our building experienced a power surge which knocked the entire buildings control systems offline. We have been working with our building management since that time to resolve the issue, and we are terribly sorry that it impacted your visit. We do hope that you will visit us again soon so we can give you the 5-star experience I know we're capable of!

our waiter was inattentive. we were the ONLY ones there so no excuse at all in any way. like the onl people literally. deviled eggs were weird which was why i came. but the banana walnut pancakes were nice. lox bagel wasn’t too flavorful.

Our experience was great starting with our knowledgeable and friendly server. She knew everything from the beer list to the meat preparation and best sauces. The bacon wrapped poppers and mini corn muffins started us off perfectly followed by the the brisket and ribs. All great! Finished it with an amazing chocolate cherry bread pudding. Lovely evening out.

Service was friendly and quick. Food was very good. Portions were generous. Way overpriced, though. A 3 meat with 1 side plate is $32. Dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids, with a takeaway mac and cheese was $154 (incl tax/tip).

Not likely to return.

Wonderful time start to finish. Mark served our table,. we brought wine . for $25 corkage fee he opened it and we enjoyed it. ..had deviled eggs, burnt ends, and tpeach prosciutto toast appetizer. All fantastic. 2 at table had pulled pork platters with slaw or kale. I had brisket with kale. Top drawer. Chef and owner Andrew came over and talked with us. Run don’t walk to this place.My friend recommended the place that had been there. He said desserts were great. Glad ‘Andrea pushing through this pandemic. Really awesome service and well prepared food. The portion for the brisket plate was super small and while the cost of beef has risen 5 small slices verses the pulled pork serving was pretty crazy. I'd go back to dine again but I won't be getting the brisket plate.

Delicious, gourmet barbecue. Not everything was a complete home run, but lots of surprisingly good elements. Service was a little slow, but like everyone else right now, they appear to be in the process of hiring new staff. Our first time here, but we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Went around 6pm on a Monday (observed holiday) and it wasn’t very busy. Sat immediately and had prompt and pleasant service. Due to the layout and internal building materials there was some echoing of voices and noise. We were also sat just on the other side of a chest-high divider from another table which made it feel like we were sitting next to strangers and we could hear each other’s conversations. I would recommend they offset the table arrangement if possible. Other than that the experience was excellent. The food was phenomenal.

Excellent service and tasty meats. We started with the avocado deviled eggs, and then shared the bbq turkey and ribs. Great choices of bbq sauces - the tangy was our favorite. For sides, we ordered the beans, which were fantastic - a must have! We also ordered the collard greens, which are usually my favorite, but these were way too spicy (and I can handle a pretty good amount of spice.) Once I mentioned it to our waiter, he immediately offered to get me a replacement side, so I had the brussel sprouts, which were a tad overcooked but still delicious.
Stand outs were the ribs (go ahead and order the full rack, you'll thank me!) and the beans. Outstanding service throughout.

Went for a birthday and had a great time! Food came out super quickly and our waiter was very nice and efficient. For the birthday boy, they gave him ice cream!

We're so sorry that we sold out of much of our BBQ on Father's Day. We make all of our BBQ fresh daily, and do our best to predict how much we'll need each day with the goal of not running out before the very end of the day. Due to the incredibly high volume for our first Father's Day, we misjudged how much to cook, and with BBQ, once those decisions are made, we unfortunately can't make any more for that day. We do look forward to hosting you again in the future, and we'll keep doing out best!

Worst service and food and overpriced. Tacos cold meat old and dried out. Salmon oily with no taste. If you want High Blood Pressure than the greens are for you, so much vinegar and hot pepper in the collards. I brought my husband and son for father’s day I felt bad his ribs were dried out even with the rub so was the pull chicken. Did better going to Famous Daves but thought i would try something new. Have the nerve to include gratuity in bill I see why with lousey service and food.

Our goal is to provide our guests with the best possible dining experience, and we work extremely hard to do so. We also do not include a gratuity on any check for parties smaller than 8 guests, although our system does provide recommended gratuity amounts when taking payment and at the guests discretion.

I was so excited to try this place - not sure if I'll return. Brisket is out of this world and Texas name worthy. Service and portions are not. A lot of what we wanted to order was unavailable. When we asked what was missing we were told 1-2 things, but it turned out to be more menu items, so that was the running theme of our dinner (even the restroom was out of toilet paper). Nachos are excellent, sweet and unique, add pulled pork! The Ruben was awesome, and though we like the BBQ street corn it's a piddly 1/2 of an ear and sad looking compared to heaping fries. If your Texan themed, give people a whole ear. Brussels sprouts need a drizzle of something - on their own they're ok.

Great new barbecue place!! The ribs were amazing -- very lean and lots of meat. The pulled chicken sandwich was piled high and had a great flavor. The barbecue beans side dish was almost a meal in itself with lots of meat and full flavored beans. Coleslaw was perfect - not too creamy and not dry. Good potato salad. There were four of us so we tried lots of things. And if you like Brussels sprouts, you need to try them here -- grilled and slightly carmelized. Pulled pork was delicious too. The chef/owner puts his heart and soul into the food. Our group would highly recommend Smokecraft Modern Barbecue.

Our first time there the manager Rocky was incredibly helpful! We took his suggestions and boy were we delighted. The pork belly appetizer was delicious and we paired it with the smoke on the water bourbon drink “very cool”. We will definitely return. Everything we tried was on point!
