My friends and I saw a review on IG so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The service was good from the moment we entered the restaurant throughout our entire dinner. John, our waiter, was very attentive and did not hesitate to politely answer my myriad of questions. The food was very good and that brisket oh, my! I definitely recommend this restaurant and I plan to go back to try a different entrée.

From the personal conversation with the owner and the positive attitude of the waiter, the experience at Smokecraft was worth the drive through the rain. While the food could have been a few degrees hotter, I will definitely be back. The brisket with the peppercorn topping and the salmon were amazing. No words can reallly touch on the smoked cauliflower!!!!

Food was decent but service was abysmal. Turkey was dry and the collards had too much vinegar. Mac n cheese was good though. The cornbread was delicious and the rest of the bbq was pretty darned good. They need to hire more servers. Once the order was placed, it came out of the kitchen relatively quickly. The prices are a little high, but the portions are decent. I don’t think we’ll be back though.

Waiter was very confused about gluten free. Asked us how we knew things were GF, so pointed to menu with GF label. He brought a tray of dirty bbq bottles. Clean these up between tables, gross. Asked if the sauces were GF, he looked confused again so we asked him to go ask. He came back and said they were all GF, but he didn't seem confident. Suffice to say, pass. Our food was delivered by another person who first tried to deliver to the table next to us. We asked them for full size plates since we were sharing everything. They never came. At one point a runner tried to give is someone's takeout order. And after we were eating our server hovered behind my friend and then another time next to the table just staring. Never said anything eventualy walked away. Made us feel uncomfortable. BBQ was good, but staff need retraining.

We have had some staffing issues lately and we know we need to continue to work with some of our new hires on improving their knowledge so experiences such as yours do not occur in the future. We do hope that this was an isolated event, highlights also by the high volume on a holiday weekend, and know we can do better in the future. We came because I saw a review on Tik tok and although we were coming for the BBQ, we were looking forward to the banana pudding and was thoroughly disappointed. The banana pudding was nothing but mush. The vanilla wafers were so broken down it was as if it was put in a blender and mixed with the pudding. Blah! We bought 2 containers without tasting based on the review and wasted our money! 🙄. However, the main course ribs and pulled pork was delicious and tender! Your meal only came with one side and I selected the BBQ baked beans and if I could’ve I would have stuck my entire head in the container to clean the container!! And yes, it was that good! But the funny thing about this is that I ordered a pulled pork sandwich meal to go and the pork was cut differently than how it was cut for our meal. The to go meal was shredded and a lot of fat, whereas, the meal at dinner was sliced. The other side I got was the potato salad and that was yucky too. More like mayo on sliced potatoes, no real flavor. So let’s talk about the service, barely waited to be seated, the server was extremely friendly and took very good care of us. We didn’t have to look for her for anything. Although some items were better than others, it still wasn’t worth the amount spent. JMO

Tried it for the first time today, we went for brunch and we really enjoyed it. Found it off of TikTok and I have to say the food was delicious. The place is beautiful. It wasn’t crowded, more people need to know about it. I would love to go back and try lunch or dinner ..

The BBQ is always amazing at Smokecraft. My partner and I visit atleast every three(3) months or so and it has been consistent with our customer service experience. Also, the food is 10/10. We come for brunch each time and the mimosa flight, specialty cocktails are flavorful. A lot of smoked drink options to choose from. We love the smoked pulled chicken, wings, burnt ends, corn bread muffins (comes out fresh) , pulled chicken Benedict, BBQ street corn and Texas omelette, just to name a few ✨✨

I had high hopes for this restaurant, which opened during the pandemic and has survived in Clarendon for five years. My hopes were dashed when I found lots of little pieces of shell in my crab cakes, and (aside from the shells) the crab cakes were mushy on the inside. I mentioned the problem to the waiter, and a manger came over to inquire, but in the end, they didn’t remove the crab cakes from the bill. I didn’t ask them to, but any self-respecting restaurant would have done so. My dining companions enjoyed their BBQ, but at the end of the meal, the waiter (who was very nice) realized he’d forgotten to provide the selection of BBQ sauces. We won’t be going back.
