My husband and I have been to Smoke N’ Fire numerous times and our food and experience has always been top notch. Last night, our experience was unfortunately very different. I order my steak well done as I do every time I come. My steak always comes out perfectly cooked, and still so tender I can cut it with a butter knife. When my steak got to the table and I cut into it, it was very very pink. The waiter was extremely nice and apologized (even though it was at no fault to him) and took my steak back to be fully cooked. He even offered a free dessert for the inconvenience. However, when my steak came back it was still very pink on the inside. Our waiter said that was odd because the inside temperature read 165 degrees and their well done temperature is normally 170 degrees. I was so embarrassed to have to send it back again but I do not like pink inside my steak. He asked if I wanted them to butterfly it and I politely declined and said that I’ve never had to have it butterflied here, and I prefer not to because it dries out the steak. I also told him I was hesitant to send it back again because the outside was already done and I didn’t want it to come back burnt. When the waiter brought my steak back again he handed it to me and said please don’t feel like you need to eat this, it looks really done on the outside now. Really done was an understatement. It looked like a hockey puck. I’m not sure how the manager even let a steak come out of the kitchen looking like that. He did offer to take it back but by this point I was starving and didn’t want to repeat the process all over again so I told him I would just eat the asparagus. I was so disappointed with the situation and felt terrible for all involved. I don’t know what was happening in the kitchen, and I always give everyone the the benefit of the doubt. But I left there without eating a meal or getting an apology from management for sitting there for over an hour without an explanation as to what went wrong.

Cody was very attentive. The presentation of the food was amazing. The portions were HUGE!! I had the Pick Two w/Burnt ends, Ribs, steak fries and Cole slaw. I didn't even touch the ribs and had burnt ends leftover too. Will definitely be back.

Food was outstanding. Very friendly and professional waiter but obviously overwhelmed as all of the staff seemed to be. Wait time for food was far too long. It was very busy and we had the feeling that there may not have been sufficient staff on hand to deal with it.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant. It was disappointing. Everything we had was dry. We tried the burnt ends appetizer, I had the salmon, and my mother tried the Mac and cheese. I also ordered a side of the cheddar biscuits, that came slathered in melted butter, but we're tough and dry inside. The service wasn't great either. When we got our drinks, my soda was flat. I asked for a glass of water instead. It took almost 30 minutes to get the water. My meal was almost done by then. I understand being busy...but 30 minutes for a glass of water? It wasn't a great experience - I was hopeful for better.
