SMOKE Bar & Kitchen
This resto is amazing!! The food was incredible and the portions for brunch were big. The food was so fresh and tasty. The drinks were very creative and the service was superb. Met Scott, the owner and he was amazing!! We will definitely return!! Great place.
Sunday brunch, open window to people watch. There's a fire hydrant outside, so you can easily drop people off if they are handicapped or can't walk far distances!!! Chicken waffles and eggs bene were awesome options... Will come back for sure
I was hoping and expecting great things but Smoke was just ok. It’s a nice looking place and our cocktails were really delicious.
We ordered the sample board for an appetizer ($23) and spit the 2 person special of beef brisket with sides ($42).
The board was average, some house made cold meats, two different cheeses, the thinnest sliced of tiny bread I’ve ever seen, some pickles as well. I found it a little skimpy to be honest. The cheese slices were cut differently and some pieces looked like small scraps. What we did have was tasty, but to me, no different than other charcuterie boards I’ve had and I’ve had better.
The main course wasn’t too great. While the brisket was really good, the sides were meh. Also, I don’t just want one meat. When I go to Barque (which is really good) or the Stockyards (also great) I can get a variety. There wasn’t even an option for a la carte ordering to sample the pork belly or chicken. I’d rather have more BBQ options that all the sandwiches they offer. Make the sandwiches smaller and make them appetizers.
Back to the sides, they were ok. The potato salad wasn’t to my liking or my friends, the macaroni was not bad, corn is corn:I like it but who can’t cook corn? The “gumbo” was a watery bizarre puzzle too. We couldn’t figure out what the hell it was until we looked at the menu to see what it was supposed to be. The tater-tots are just tater-tots that have lost most of their crunch because they’re drenched in marinara for some reason. Anything else I’ve forgotten since it was that forgetful.
Dinner with a couple drinks came out to $120 plus tip. I’d rather Uber to Barque or the Stockyards than walk to Smoke unfortunately.
Took over my favourite brunch spot so had high expectations. Great job. Love the banquet.so I did not have to not on a stool. The smoked pineapple mimosa was delicious 😋 as was the rest of my meal.
Had dinner on opening night! Fun and playful atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Loved the stickers on the table, don't forget to add some to the wall :) Cocktails are delightful. Must have "Tater -Tots Bravas" perfectly crispy! And the Korean Fried Ribs are on point! You gotta love a place where you even want more of the sides (yes fried kale is better than french fries). I'll be going back for brunch...the food was that good.
