Our server brook and the other staff working that day was amazing. Definitely great experience with customer service and food. My favorite was their Japanese cakes..hands down the best pancakes I’ve had.
First time here and definitely not last. Everyone, from the host, server, manager and the gentleman that delivered our plates, was friendly and informative. Was there for brunch. Had the Hangover sandwich that was as good as it was huge! This place has a great vibe and the staff all look like they love working there.
We visited Smithy for Sunday brunch & had a wonderful experience. The wait staff was polite & attentive without being over bearing, mimosas were delicious, food was delicious. Overall great dining experience, we would come back again!
Love Smithy’s !
Delicious food, great ambiance, solid playlizt in the background, welcoming hosts, great bartenders, and plenty of seating options. This is a must-go brunch spot for any casual brunch to a setup for Sunday Funday rounds on Greenville and into Deep Ellum and downtown. Valet is recommended and please tip the hardworking valets. I had zero issues with my party of four, and the hostesses were very easy to work with on any adjustments we requested. Would I go back? Absolutely!
Found this restaurant on Open Table. Casual, fun place to eat brunch. We had the Omelet and Hangover 2.0. Delicious! Will be back!
Always loved the food and especially the staff here.
Our server Josh(?) I believe was his name was super helpful and extremely attentive to us throughout our visit. He was one of the best servers I’ve experienced in a long while. The food was great, and the drinks were good. I only tried the pineapple mimosa, but next time I will definitely check out the rest of the cocktails because this place is a must return, and I would like to check out their dinner selections as brunch was really good. Valet was also really awesome so that was a bonus
Loved everything about this place. I’m new to the Dallas area and was thoroughly satisfied.
Food was great! Manager was wonderful. Interacting with customers and making sure everything was going well. Unfortunately, our server was not great. I think he forgot about us after being seated but other servers really stepped up and made things right. Will definitely return.
I would definitely recommend this place. The food and service were great.
Really dislike valet and sad it’s the only option given. Food was good, and service okay. Would still recommend to others.
Arrived at the restaurant and were immediately seated. Sat across from the kitchen in a slightly quieter area of the restaurant. We were quickly greeted by our server who took our drink our and returned with our drinks right away. Service was very attentive. Our server was great! The menu on the other hand was a bit confusing. The appetizers looked like entrees and heavy for the Summer time. If you have food allergies your options are limited.
We order the WHISKEY FLATIRON , which is pork not beef and the SALMON TROISGROS. The pork was perfectly cooked and moist. The sauce was tasty. The salmon on the other hand was slightly overcooked, but still edible. The overall experience was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. I wish the menu read better and a few lighter appetizers were available. I'll probably go back though, probably in the fall. On another note, the Valet Parking Attendants we some of the friendliest guys around.
WAY too loud in there
Food was okay. Sister found a hair in her food. They still charged us for it. Service was very poor. Very loud. Like a club. Would not return.
Smithy’s is definitely the go to spot! I took my dad here for Father’s Day he enjoyed it! I did as well. Will be coming back again for sure!
Great service great food!!! Cocktails are yummy too!
Our visit to Smithy was a total taking-a-flyer-off-OpenTable, but well worth it. The menu is eclectic, especially when you sample the sharable plates. We tried the crab nachos (good, after we figured our the hidden jalapenos and moderated those), crab cakes and huckleberry sliders. The sliders in particular were a really tasty bite, and we found ourselves pondering getting another order! We were sitting on their outdoor patio on Henderson, so the noise level was what one would expect - there is indoor seating as well if the street vibe isn't your thing. On our our barometer of "would we go back?" - yes, definitely. We were ogling other patrons plates and thinking "Hmmm..."
We got the coconut shrimp & steak frites. Both were absolutely amazing! We shared the steak frites for our meal and it was plenty!
The food was delicious. And service was quick and friendly
Food was good and serving sizes are large, which is great based on how much you pay. The ahi tuna poke didn't have any rice (I should have read the description better). Drinks were good. We went on a Friday night around 9 and it was busy and loud.
The great, if a a bit pricey. The noise quietened down the later JR got.
Service was excellent especially with offering recommendations on the meal, drinks and dessert. Live music on Thursdays!
Was very good. Will definitely return
Love Smithy’s. Will continue to return.
I travel a lot for work so eat many dinners out in cities all over the United States. Smithy’s was a wonderful dining experience across the board! Josh, our waiter, was attentive, informative and efficient. I ordered Luke’s hot chicken. Hands down the best fried chicken I have ever tasted! The poutine also delicious!
The restaurant itself was clean attractive with a well kept restroom. It’s so rare that a restaurant checks all the boxes!
Parking was quick and easy with the valet located right out front.
Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!
Great food and ambiance! Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The crab nachos were very tasty and light. The verlasso salmon was very good. I will definitely be back to try other items.
Great menu and Great service
Delicious brunch, and great service!
The food was amazing! We had excellent service, waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us with selections. Atmosphere was good. great place
Almost everything was perfect about Smithy. We got there early and sat at the bar while we waited on the rest of our party to arrive. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. We had a great dining experience between the service and the food. The only negative of the night was that for appetizers, we ordered the truffle fries and crab nachos. Our fries arrived very quickly but the crab nachos never showed up. Eventually we just told them to cancel them.
Extremely slow service. Food was just okay. Will not return.
The food was very good, the service excellent and the drinks well crafted definitely will return and I really recommend it.
Great atmosphere, music and overall vibe.
Normally we love this place. Might have just been an off day. We made a reservation for the patio two days prior. We received a text that our table was ready, and when we arrived we were told the wait would be an additional 30 minutes. Once seated inside, the music was so loud we could not keep a conversation. The food was bland, unseasoned, and overcooked. Our waitress was absent, but that may be because she was the only person working our section. Sad to see, but I believe the pandemic did a number on this place. $70 down for brunch for two, and we both failed to eat more than half our food, as we left rather quickly due to the loud noise level and poor service. Disappointing for sure.
Service was a little slot but overall good experience
It is so LOUD in Smithy's that it is difficult to breath!
Went for dinner with our teens and tried several shared plates. Food was great (enough variety among the shared plates to suit everyone). Server was also great - he had the happiest smile and made sure to check in regularly. It is a sports bar and loud, so be prepared for that.
The brunch was absolutely delicious! I loved the farmer’s omelette and the jam that came with the biscuit was mouthwateringly good 😍
It is nice casual place. Food is good and lots of fried food choices.
