Smith's Landing Seafood Grill
It was my family's first dining experience at Smiths. We made reservations for Father's day during brunch- we were seated promptly and was provided information on how to "Brunch at Smith's" the staff was welcoming-the lady that services the desserts is AMAZING and creates a warm welcoming environment. The food was beyond excellent and offered a variety for all typed of paletes. We will be returning to experience dinner!
I will definitely return in the future and recommend it to my friends
My chicken was so small and dry. Everyone else liked their food. Service was slow because they weren’t staffed
Food was delicious and the service was great!! And the view was beautiful! Highly recommended!!
Four of us had dinner on a Sunday evening. We asked if we could sit outside and were advised outside was too busy. On the way out we noticed a row of open tables outside. We all got appetizers. My husband ordered the clams for an appetizer and halibut for an entree. His appetizer did not come with the others. When he called that to the attention of the server, she said she thought that was his entree. He explained his order to her again. My scallops were very good. My husband's halibut was not so good. My friend's salmon was overcooked. Another friend's fish and chips was good. The server said we could get a free dessert due to the order mix up. Turns out the free dessert can only be the birthday sundae, not what you may want for dessert. The cost of the clams was removed from the bill. The server sometimes stopped by the table to ask if anyone wanted more water rather than simply refilling the water glasses. Most galling was that the server, who is likely in her 20s, continuously called us, in our 70s, either "hon" or "my dear." I don't plan to return.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Brought my parents here from out of town. Everyone enjoyed their meal
Service poor.Had to ask for water twice.
Had a cocktail at the bar prior to dinner. There was obviously a bartender learning and was corrected inappropriately in front of us which I’m sure made him and our party uncomfortable.Should be done privately not in front of the customers.Food was fair not spectacular. We have eaten many times at Zepher in Brentwood much better experience.
Mediocre at best... very disappointing for the price. The view is beautiful but you have to drive through the worst of Antioch to get there. The food was basic and not worth the price. Too bad because Antioch’s waterfront is truly beautiful and should be revitalized to generate revenue for the city.
Awesome. Thankyou. The waitress the singer and the food was all awesome
A friend ordered fish and chips and the fish was undercooked with very greasy batter. She ate a piece and immediately felt sick and then couldn’t eat anything else that was offered as a replacement. We were not charged for the fish and chips but the bad food experience caused what should have been a fun gathering of friends to turn into an unpleasant experience. Lately the quality of the food and its prep has been hit or miss. I recently had a salmon dish that did not taste good, thus I couldn’t eat it. That was this past Valentines Day. I’m afraid I no longer can recommend Smiths as a go-to restaurant.
Server was very quick, food was super tasteful (I had the halibut) sunset is the best time to go!
Everyone should try the restaurant. We were there for my wife’s birthday which I noted when making the reservation with “open table”. They did nothing. We ordered a bottle of wine and not once did our server offered to refill our glasses of wine. My wife's entire meal was great. Oysters on a half shell, wedge salad and lobster tail. I ordered fish and chips, One of my favorites . Unfortunately It was a little over fried. It was unfortunate that we saw our “bus boy” more than we saw our server.
Service just service; food not hot; pork tough,
The food was great the atmósfera excelente I will definitely go back
For me, the music was Much Too loud and the temperature too cold. My Heirloom Tomato Napoleon salad was just ok with extra thick slices of (some underripe) tomato dominating the dish. My husband said his scallops risotto was also just ok. Our friends enjoyed their crazy pricey meals of Ribeye steak and Crab Louie. The view is nice, but we couldn’t tolerate the loud music. Staff tried but the volume just couldn’t calm down. We won’t return mostly because of the prices and ambiance.
Everything at Smith’s Landing was close to perfect. We celebrated a two couple anniversary. The service person and management celebrated with us with a complimentary outstanding dessert...After a magnificent meal.
We were exceptionally pleased, and thankful.
Took my niece for her birthday. The table was beautifully located in front of the large windows with a great view of the river at sunset. The service was top notch and the food fantastic! Definitely going there again!
Although I have frequented this restaurant several times, this was by far the second poorest service received when it came to our food. There was a party of 6, my steak was over cooked even after I told them to make, the halibut was salty friend had to send it back. Her dinner did not arrive did 25 min later by then the party was done eating. My other friends salmon was dry!
Besides the food being a issue and the lack of follow up for the meal screw up, we enjoyed the scenery and atmosphere.
I took my husband and our family here for his birthday. It came highly recommended by a couple of coworkers. We were very impressed with the ambiance. The food was great, and the staff was very nice. We got a huge complimentary birthday ice cream which we were all able to share. We made our reservation for 7pm and got to watch the sun set during our dinner. It was beautiful.
Food was good. We went on a Sunday after 2pm. Service was excellent, view was great. Overall nice seafood restaurant!
Far surpassed our expectations! If you haven’t been to the buffet yet cancel all your plans next Sunday and go!
I looked forward to this brunch but was honestly left disappointed.
View was only OK for waterfront.
We were seated and very well served during our visit.
All of the meat was over cooked and cold-yuck. The crab legs, even though they were peeled open tasted frozen and watery as if the stuff was defrosted in the morning.
Rest of the food was sadly bland and the made to order eggs Benedict were no exception.
They truly need a better group of cooks.
Mimosas were ok, orange juice decent but the coffee was wayyyy to strong.
The place could really use some nicer booths (yes booths) or of course use tables as other $50. Brunches.
Deserts were good but nothing to write home about.
Pretty disappointing for brunch:-(
To noisy cannot have same table conversation. Need to add a set menu also. presentation acceptable. Price of food a little high for dinning in a noisy environment.
Food was great and so was the service! Thank you so much!
Ambiente muy agradable y muy buen servicio
Great food and great service in a beautiful setting.
The music from the bar was way to loud. We were seated as far away from the bar as possible and my wife and I couldn’t carry on a conversation because of the background music. The food was good except our vegetables were cold when our dinner arrived. They did bring us some more after we asked. We asked for some more bread. The second serving of bread was stale and hard. It was obviously left over of left out to long. The service was just alright. Our waiter didn’t seem to interested to tend to us.
Great food, best crab louie ever. Had a picture perfect view and good service.
It was extremely loud. They had a lady performing in the bar area but was still very loud in the restaurant
Went for Sunday Champagne brunch. Food was delicious, Champagne ( mimosas) we're high quality and kept coming. Service was very good and the view was lovely! Will definitely be back!
The food was very unflavorful. The value of the food was not worth it. The food looked amazing but had absolutely no flavor. Will never go here again!
The food was amazing the waitstaff was beyond nice and helpful ambience was brilliant will definitely be making this a regular excursion for myself and my wife
Atmosphere, food and service were great. We were there with family and I know they enjoyed it, also. We are planning on a return to the restaurant and we know we again will enjoy not only the food and ambiance; but, the family...especially the family. People should experience the gift of family.
Dinner began well, our waitress was attentive and interactive. Bread was awesome with the different butter choices, appetizer was nice. We ordered clams in a pesto sauce. Dinner was scallops on a bed of risotto and the lobster tail. The risotto was AWFUL, it tasted “sour”, not edible. The scallops were very good. As we were taking our first bites of dinner our waitress stopped on her way to
The table behind us and asked, how is everything? I immediately told her that the risotto was just “off”. No good. She looked puzzled and said, what do you want me to do? I said, it’s bad... something isn’t right... my date said, it’s ok.. I’ll just eat the scallops. I would have pressed the issue and had it sent back because the food is not inexpensive! I shared my dinner the lobster, scalloped potatoes and asparagus. The lobster was nice, and although the potatoes were good there were “7” slices of potato on the plate. We didn’t have any alcohol and the bill was 130 bucks.... I was hoping for a stunner.... not sure if we will try again.
I'm glad that this opened up as there aren't that many fine dining restaurants in Antioch and the atmosphere was very nice being by the water. The food and service was good, though the prices could have been a few dollars cheaper in my opinion, but overall this is a great spot for a nice date night, group party, or a nice treat to have. I'll be returning here again to try the other dishes. I had the bucatani seafood monte carlo dish and it was excellent. Also the appetizers are good too - calamari and the steak medallions. My husband had their steak with the blue cheese and he said it was really good.
So dissatisfied. Service was so bad. Restaurant was empty the whole time we were there yet we couldn’t get a window seat. They claimed they were already reserved but I told them I had a reservation and they claimed I was supposed to make the reservation online then call to request a window seat. (I made our reservation weeks ago) We got sat right by the kitchen & steps, people walked by tripping the whole meal. Food was hot & flavorless. Fish was extremely over cooked. The hostess was the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. Older lady with black hair. We drove an hour each way so I could have a special mother’s day and they ruined it. For no reason. What a waste. I am really disappointed we will never go here again. How are you going to have an empty restaurant and treat one of the only family’s there so rudely???? It was so bad we didn’t order more than one drink or deserts. You got what you wanted, people in and out, but you lost customers. I hope others also take this review into consideration and do not waste their time on a subpar restaurant.
The appetizers were AMAZING. I ordered the scallops and really did not like the risotto but that's okay because I was so full from the delicious appetizers . The service started out great (I believe we had Juan) as our server) but it slowly started decreasing. We waited 10 mins for him to bring out check after requesting it and then he brought it but it took him another 10-15 mins to take our card AFTER walking back and forth completely bypassing our table. Overall, he was friendly. I did notice a server named Nick who was zooming around making customers smile and laugh which was awesome to see. My overall experience was pretty good. I'll give it another try in hopes the service will improve
I love this place and the food choices are great especially the champagne
Food overall was good. Except my wife’s meal was under cooked twice and she did get to eat.
