Enjoy a quiet romantic dinner by candlelight overlooking the marina and marshes beyond, have dinner on the deck, or reserve our Private Dining Room for a special occasion or business dinner.
I took my staff to Smithfield Station, celebrating a birthday. The food was good and served in a timely manner. The waitress was on point. Everyone was pleased with their meals.
Very nice place. Food was good, not great, services good depending on the waiter. Great views of the river and boats, (marina was full of very nice boats).
My ladies group just four of us went for dinner and told him enjoyed ourselves
My cousin was here from New Mexico and wanted to eat some good seafood. Well the first place to come to mind was Smithfield Station. He was impressed and left full. As always; good food, good service.
We were there for a girls luncheon. We had wonderful seating and the waiter was most attentive. Everyone loved their food selection
Great time at The Restaurant at Smithfield Inn. Food was delicious and te service was friendly and fast.
Small portions for what you pay
Waitress not very attentive
Wonderful food and staff so friendly. One of my favorite places to eat.
This is our 2nd visit to Smithfield Station, overall it was very good. We were able to sit outside and we had very comfortable seating and atmosphere. The food was very good and a great variety ( ask for the bar menu also, as they have great food on it also). The service was a slow getting drink refills but the wait staff had great personality. Definitely will be going back.
Always enjoy Sunday Brunch with friends here - great service, great brunch options, great views!
What an excellent place. We went here to celebrate our anniversary and had a great dinner.
We had three appetizers; Stuffed Mushrooms, Shrimp, and Hush Puppies. I am not a fan of Hush Puppies but they were delicious. I would eat these all the time. The Main course of the Medallions on ham with crab on top was out of this world. I definitely recommend this place. We will be back. Our server Grace took such great care of us and was very patient with our ordering style. Thank you Smithfield Station for probably the best Anniversary Dinner we have had (34 years).
My waiter was excellent and tried his best to help but apparently the kitchen was out of salmon for my wife and behind in filling additional orders. Once my plate arrived , I found my broiled flounder was pretty dry. Since it was our 27th anniversary, I was looking forward to a joyous eating experience since this place was recommended by a coworker/ friend.
Another great lunch with friends. Started with an appetizer of fried oysters. Nice size and lightly breaded. Then came a colorful salad, crab soup, bacon wrapped scallops, veggie quesadilla, seafood platter, and my new favorite fried catfish. The Key Lime pie is one of their best. The food was great and the service was excellent. Ask for Stephanie.
Smithfield Station is one of our favorite places. We come over from Williamsburg, so for us, it’s dinner and a cruise. The food is always very good. The ambience is lovely, especially late in the day just as it grows dark. The light on the Pagan River is breathtaking. The service is usually very good to excellent, but we had a new guy this time and his timing was off—bringing our entrees while we were still eating the appetizers. But he was pleasant and attentive and he’ll get better, so no complaints. It’s just a great place and we cant wait for our next visit.
Indicated that it was a birthday. Nothing was done for the celebrant
Fantastic food but watch the crab cakes--very spicy--odd I thought for the delicate taste of crab. Oysters were excellent!
It was a wonderful experience. Our server, Jackie, did an excellent job in seeing to every detail in making our dining experience one to remember. Thanks for making our visit memorable.
The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Also our stay at the Smithfield Station Lodge was outstanding. We enjoyed our weekend very much and would do it again.
First, we had to be moved to another section of the restaurant ... the manager sat a table of 8 energetic salepeople immediately next to us ... we could not even hear ourselves think.
Second, my order of catfish with sides of huspuppies and fries was way off the mark ... the fish was not completely cooked in the thickest part of the filet, the hushpuppies and fries were cold.
I liked the setting along the river, but you could not see much as the restaurant was at the same level as all the vegetation ... all we could see were the masts of a few boats.
Needless to say, I was disappointed, will probably not go back.
What a great setting! Service was great. Food was great! Enjoyed our dining experience.
Another outstanding meal. Oysters, shrimp, scallops, flounder, key lime pie.
Very disappointed this visit. For some reason we were seated in the bar even though we had children with us. Our server seemed overwhelmed, she seemed to be the only one serving in the bar area. There was a guy but he only set up empty tables. Our appetizers came out promptly but it took forever to get our entrees. When they finally came my tornados were cooked properly but were lukewarm. I ended up taking them home so I could heat them up for leftovers.
We used to really like this place but service and food have slipped in the last few years.
Outstanding.....what I expected.....will return......
First time at Smithfield Station for dinner. It was very nice and food was excellent.
Their were 6 of us each ordering something different and everyone loved their selection. The waiter was very attentive and friendly.
Out of town guests, had a great meal and experience. Quiet corner allowed fine conversation. Service superior!
Smithfield Station was a long overdue visit for us as we had dined and stayed there several times in the 90s. The business has expanded, particularly the hotel portion, and the restaurant remains a fine dining experience. With excellent food and service with modest prices, Smithfield Station is a fine destination for a getaway.
Anniversary dinner very nice
My wife and I wanted a very special dinner for our friends from Atlanta Georgia and we wanted to make a good impression . They wanted seafood and we wanted to show them one of our favorite restaurants.
The staff and the Smithfield Stadion was great. Our server was very professional and the dinner we each had was great.
Thank you again for great experience.
My wife and I had an amazing weekend there. Everything and everyone there was above our expectations. The food was exceptional as was all the staff. We are planning to return soon.
Loved it, food, service and our table window seating, awesome!
Great view, great food, great service. Really enjoy the Station and visit often.
A wonderful escape from day to day stress. Beautiful setting!
Get together with dear friend
We were celebrating our 56th wedding anniversary. We were seated, order was taken and food was served timely. That's where the good service ended. The server seemed to forget we were there. I was disappointed because in the past we had great and timely service. This time, not so much. The restaurant had a group of 10 men and another couple, so, being crowded did not justify the lack of good service. I hope the next time we get better service.
Great way to celebrate my birthday with family.
We loved the view and delicious crab dip. It was our first visit and our daughter's first time in Smithfield. Truly a wonderful day.
The view of the river during dinner was beautiful and the food was delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly and we enjoyed everything about the experience. We are already planning another trip to the area and will definitely make a reservation to eat there again.
It's been about 5 years since I was last at Smithfield Station. On that visit I mad a mental note that I didn't need to go back there again. I had read a couple of good things about the restaurant lately and thought I'd give it another try. Well, once again I have made a mental note that I don't need to go back there again. Nothing horrible, just nothing special. I had the crab soup that came out looking like wallpaper past. The flavor was OK but I'm sure if you threw it against a wall it would stick. It was way too thick. Then I had the fried seafood platter. The scallops were fine, the shrimp was actually close to being good, the flounder was fine and the crabcake was not the least bit interesting. The french fries were nowhere near hot and the hush puppies again were almost good but a little too dry. After that I was certainly full and didn't need to try desert. I'd rather drive 10 or 15 miles to find a nice restaurant than eat again at Smithfield Station because it was convenient.
Had the broiled seafood platter and everything was excellent. Cindy our server was most friendly and efficient. The setting inside and outside was great.
A wonderful setting for our anniversary dinner (and the restaurant helped up celebrate with a desert treat). Servers were friendly and attentive, food was well prepared and attractively presented, ambiance was soothing and quiet, and the view of the Pagan River and marina very picturesque.
