We drove 65 miles to eat at this restaurant that was featured in the Southside Electric Co-op Magazine several years ago. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Chad, was polite and attentive. We will certainly eat there again.

Went here for a Valentine's Date on the 15th. Restaurant was about 2/3 full, which made the slow service pretty surprising. The seafood platter was very good, my wife got a sirloin which was very tough and dry. Our bacon sampler appetizer had a piece of cardboard stuck to it...very unusual. Overall we had a good experience. The location and building was very cool, but probably having realistic expectations about the service we would receive would have set us up better, although I would say I'd expect more for a $50/person dinner.

Wonderful restaurant! I had a boneless New York strip that was perfectly prepared rare. It was juicy and flavorful. The restaurant has a water view of the Pagan River and has a marina. It is great place for lunch or dinner.

Went there on Valentines Day with my wife. Was honestly the worst meal we’ve ever had. The best part about the experience was ordering Pizza Hut to pickup on the way home.

Had dinner here Friday night. Even thou they were extremely busy they still had the time to provide outstanding personal service. The food was cooked to perfection and the portions were just right. My wife and I will definitely be back

Unfortunately I had made reservations a month prior to the February 14th date. Upon arrival the hostesses placed us on a wait list. No big deal, we told them we’d wait at the bar until seated. I had to go back 2 times to remind the hostess we were there, as I saw other parties arrive and being sat immediately. She then gave us a table. Once seated, we waited 20 minutes until finding a manager as a server never came to greet us. We were ready to leave but we really wanted to try the food. The food was great but the service was just unfortunately horrendous.

Smithfield station has old world charm and an impeccable view of the pagan river. With its pleasurecraft serenely docked its views of the water transcends the individual into an offshore island experience. The staff endeavors to assist the you in anyway they are able. In sum, The location the ambience and the service is beyond reproach I highly recommend Smithfield station for a wonderful experience

Another great lunch date with old friends. Oysters for appetizers, fish & chips, seafood Cesar salad, fried oysters, and a Cajun seafood pasta dish. All this topped of with two great desserts. Our server, Jen, was outstanding.

Parking is a bear, but manageable. The food and service is outstanding. We had the seafood platter, the blackened chicken, and the steamed shrimp. Each was very well seasoned and delicious. A full bar for cocktails and draft/bottle beers. Very reasonably priced. Make sure you get the bacon platter appetizer...it is awesome.

We took our visiting friends to the "Station" for dinner and had a very pleasant experience. Our waitress, Meghan, was excellent. We all enjoyed our meal very much. If I had anything to say about my entree, I would suggest that the next time I order the broiled Flounder, I would ask that they leave the Old Bay Seasoning off. I am not an Old Bay Seasoning person and the broiled Flounder is so good that it does not need a distraction from it's flavor. This was also my first time to ever reserve a table through "Open Table" and it was an excellent experience. I will always do it from now on whenever possible.

Yes but would advise that they specify to server to please not over cook the seafood. Most of the seafood was over cooked. Out of four meals 3 were over cooked. Also staff were not aware of the norovirus issue with the Rappahannock oyster beds. The beds were closed off but the oysters were still coming from there according to the server. We read the articles about it. If we hadn’t, illness from the oysters would not have been a good thing.

It had been years since my husband and I had been to Smithfield Station. We never even knew they were open for breakfast. What a great surprise!!! From the warm greeting as we walked in the door to the “Thank you for dining with us and have a Happy New Year!”, everything was GREAT!!! Our waitress, Megan, never let our coffee get cold nor allowed a dirty dish to remain on our table. Thank you, Smithfield Station and Megan, for a wonderful last Sunday of 2019 breakfast!!! We will definitely be back in 2020!!

This was the second year in a row that my husband and I went there for our anniversary. The food was great and the service was good for a busy night.

Family and I went for dinner. It has been a few years since we have dined here. The quality of the food has declined from what I remember. My dinner was Luke warm and another entree was almost inedible due to the food temperature. The overall atmosphere was not as nice as I remembered either. The interior needs to have some money put back into it. Resembles a Longhorn steakhouse at the moment. Overall I was sadly disappointed.
