   Absolutely outstanding food, even by high end steak house standards, and the ambience of being right on the water was excellent. However one of our steaks was ludicrously overdone and had to be sent back and the service overall was poor. I would still definitely recommend it, just don’t be shocked if there are service snafu’s.

   The bar is close to the dining room. The noise level from the bar patrons was overwhelming. Drunk and loud.

   There were 2 tables of guests that were on their phones talking loud and laughing loudly, while we were trying to enjoy our dining experience and chat. The presentation of the salad looked like the waiter had stumbled and tried putting it back together on his own. The broccolini wasn’t cooked, we asked for it to be cooked more and the second time wasn’t any better. We asked for blue cheese crumbles on the salad and didn’t get it. When the items finally did arrive we were well into the dinner. The mushrooms we ordered didn’t come out with the food and we had to wait in that as well. Overall experience was very underwhelming to say the least and we were paying top dollar for the meal.

   One of our guests ordered off of the nonalcoholic Mocktail menu. She ordered the smoke infused margarita. She even commented to the server that she needed the non-alcoholic beverage and pointed to it on the menu. She also verbally told him that she is pregnant. When the drink was delivered, there was tequila in it. She had a couple of sips and thought it tasted too good to be true. I tasted the beverage and there WAS absolutely tequila in it. We returned it to the server and expressed our concern. He had it remade and this time it came correctly prepared with no alcohol. It is very disappointing to have a conversation with your server, explaining to them that you absolutely need a beverage without alcohol in it because you’re pregnant and yet it shows up with real tequila in it. This was a very dangerous situation for my friend. Luckily she only had a few sips. We were very disappointed woth this part of our dinner. Additionally, the water glasses were not refilled. Even with multiple visits to the table by the service staff. We all ordered wagyu steaks which were delicious!

   Too noisy. Don’t get the sea bass.pleasant waiters but too expensive for what you get

    We have had several opportunities to dine at Smith & Wollensky during our travels in the United States, previously it had been very pleasant, unfortunately last night instead almost everything went wrong: long wait to receive the dishes, a lot of noise but above all the meat was not at all as good as before. We hope it was just a bad evening. The only positive note was the professionalism and kindness of the waitress
