Bartender did not know how to make a sazarac.
$124 porterhouse for 2 arrived barely warm, unevenly sliced, looking less than mouthwatering.
Creamed spinach was barely warm.
I have eaten at S&W in Manhattan many times over the years. S&W Miami is nowhere near the quality of that great restaurant.

Una carta de vinos espetacular.
They didn’t care about my husband’s birthday.
Great service, delicious view, great water view & people watching!
Absolutely stellar service and food
excellent restaurant food and service
server was professional
The place is really nice, great staff and great food. Two problems: inside, the noise level is really high, must be because of the acoustics and it doesn’t help that the latin scene is really loud (I’m one of them). Outside, it would be perfect, great view, comfortable space between tables, perfect temperature, etc. , but the pot smoking passersby ruined my appetite, I left half of the delicious steak and my fantastic cocktail, served by an excellent staff. The solution: don’t go on a busy day like Friday.
The ambiance was outstanding and a really memorable experience. It was interesting to see the cruise ships departing as we eat dinner. The setting was very romantic and I would highly recommend it.
We always enjoy having dinner at Smith this time we had a litlle problem getting the place we wanted , but all ended well
Always returning when in Miami. Service friendly and caring of the guests. Steaks cooked perfectly. Only improvement I would suggest is the booth-like seating which is very narrow.
fantastic location and food excellent , good choise for every time we come in Miami
Our server was excellent!!!! Our appetizers were good, drinks , dessert good . Our lamb chops were only 2 fork full as they were all FAT , and not edible!! 2 orders of the 10 oz. filet were not cooked correctly they had to go back twice and a 3rd time . The rest of our party was finished their meals as we had to wait for the 2 orders to be corrected.
Due to this unpleasant experience we were not able to fully enjoy our evening with our party of 7 guests ...
We are regular customers of This establishment and in NYC . We were very disappointed that we were not offered and type of compensation... We would like to hear back from you regarding this and discuss this further . Rather than give poor ratings on social media ,

My husband took me here for my birthday it was our first time and I loved every bit of it! Our waiter was Daniel and he was amazing his service was great and on point!! Would definitely return
Also apart from rip off on food seafood tower is 1 prawn 1 oyster etc each. Feels like low class get them in and out service and antiquated credit card swipe system that rarely works for overseas cards requiring u to ring your bank get card reinstated and card number manually entered reluctantly by a waiter just terrible. Prices are comparable with Le siren use at four seasons, via ni versa e and dolce at the gale but service and ambiance is just horribleness!
Sitting on the terrace for a Sunday lunch. The best!
Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Meal was served hot and excellent taste. Fernando and Juan Carlos were very friendly and helpful.
We were looking forward to a great experience at the established brand name. We were bitterly disappointed. We were seated, but after about 10min had to ask for a waiter to come and serve us. The steaks were not good and the sauted spinach was shocking (all we could taste was garlic). We left straight after our meal and will not return. Not recommended.
THE WAITER DID A GREAT JOB WALKING AROUNDS US, SERVING OUR FOOD.
NOT ONCE DID I NEED TO CALL FOR HELP
Food was ok, but not for the price. We ate outside, whih should have been romantic, overlooking the bay. It was extremely loud and uncontrolled. There was a wide walkway that passed through the seating area, with walkers, runners, bikes, dogs all passing through the area. I had made reservations weeks in advance for an outside table. the couple in front of us when we arrived asked about outside and were told there was a one and a half hour wait for it. We were seated immediately, but later saw people walk up the sidewalk and seat themselves and were served. Their website says "business casual" dress but that was widely ignored and not enforced. Overall a poor dining experience for a high price.
Waiter was very attentive. Helped us make the best decisions.
Amazing steak every time. Amazing service every time
Some of the best steaks ever... Very pricey but you know that going in, a little to dark in the restraunt...
The best birthday ever!!! The food was excellent the view was great and the service top notch!
Great food atmosphere and views. Staff are friendly and steaks are great
The food was outstanding - best steak we've had in a long time. We were able to sit outside and enjoy our dinner along with a wonderful view. The service was outstanding as well - felt like an old fashioned dinner experience not many restaurants still want to provide their customers. We are looking forward to our next visit!
birthday of 5 people, the attention is not good, spilled drinks on the table, the waiter was not attentive to our requirements, the maitre d 'walks and does nothing, it was my birthday and although we asked not brought a candle to turn it off , they do not make you feel important, we spend $ 836 without wine for 5 people
Can’t beat the beautiful view outside on the water but the food was terrible - particularly the steak which is shocking considering it’s a steakhouse. Especially for how expensive it is. Probably the worst steak I’ve ever had. My girlfriend got the tenderloin tips and agreed it wasn’t very good. She also got the mushroom side dish and it was over cooked and rubbery. Inedible.
It was awesome. Deliciuos food, amazing view at the Cruiseliners and the Port and Skyline of Miami
Gran servicio de George...
Good meal, beautiful local but prices high.
We were a group of 6 women ranging in age from 31 to 90. We have dined at S&W on many previous occasions. We waited 10-15 minutes after our designated reservation time to be seated. We were put in the most remote room. It was quiet which we appreciated but freezing. Service was painfully slow. Drinks and starters arrived at the same time at least 45 minutes after being seated and 30+ minutes after ordering. The bottle of wine we ordered wasn’t available (told to us only when the other drinks and starters were brought to the table) so we had to wait another 15 minutes for a new more expensive bottle. The food was good (not excellent) but with the prices S&W charges, that is expected. We will not go again.
Outdated, dirty, low quality food, poor service. Ordered a salad with steak medium, received a salad with shrimp instead. The waiter, without an apology, took it back. They removed the shrimp and on the same plate put a few pieces of steak, cooked rare. The takeaway: $28 for a plate of romaine, a few chunks of bacon, three cherry tomatoes, and crappy steak. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE. It used to a nice steakhouse : ( RIP S&W
Todo muy bien pero la persona que te asigna la mesa afuera INSOPORTABLE nos hizo esperar como 40 minutos teniendo 4 mesas vacias con una actitud despota y prepotente.
Lo demas estuvo excelente!!
What could be better than sitting outside by the water, enjoying a glass of wine and superb food? I ordered the grilled cauliflower with shishito peppers as a side -- and it was dynamite! The tweaks in the menu are sensational, yet S&W play all the grand favorites. One of the nicest places on Miami Beach to dine and enjoy the beatiful Miami skyline and water.
Food was decent but lobster tail was over cooked and tasted only of garlic! We eat in some great places so set a high standard! Empty drinks were taken away and not asked if we would like another at the time. We were at a table in a corridor type area near the stairs, overlooking the water but watched a staff member picking at his bare feet directly outside whilst we were eating! Not what I expect from a high end restaurant. Nice enough food but not too end!
Did a 60th wedding ceremony party here and everything was spectacular.. The food, the service (Txs Victor our server) and the views... Its out cheap but it's high quality...
The experience was a tremendous disappointment for my family.
First course was the signature salad for my wife and I and it was absolutely excellent.
The main course was as follows;
Wife- Gorgonzola filet medium with a side of the Brussels Sprouts.
Myself- chef inspired dish of tuna steak medium rare and angry shrimp
The result were so incredibly disappointing as my wife’s steak was medium rare at best in the center and my tuna steak was medium well. The angry shrimp ($16 for two pieces of shrimp) was average at best.
This experience would hav even find at a typical chain but for $225 dollars it was a terrible experience and a total lack of value. Our server did not check to see if it was cooked properly, we poured our own wine (Oregon Pinot was excellent). I have eaten here several times for work but tonight was an absolute disaster and a disappointing way to spend $275 (with tip) on our vacation.
I cannot imagine a worse meal. Who cooks tuna medium well and also when we expressed the temperature issue it wasn’t addressed. The Brussels Sprouts were served after we were halfway done.
This experienced soured me and would never have happened at Ruth Chris or Morton’s and the money spent was a waste as the food was not eaten.
