Food super average. Order was incorrect
Our first time to this restaurant and it will not be our last. Great service, great atmosphere, the food was incredible. Every employee we came in contact with was exceptional, polite, and helpful! Could not have been better!
Overall the experience was ok. The food was average but not worth the money spent. It seems like the same ingredients are used for everything therefore most of it taste alike. The chocolate cake is ridiculously huge but it was dry.
I would not recommend this restaurant.
Our waiter , Mars (sp) was outstanding as always. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Perfect night - excellent
Our Waiter has a great knowledge of the menu and was perfect in his timing. The food was delicious as always and the drinks were as well.
The steaks were prepared inconsistently (chateaubriand was beyond medium rare and the porterhouse was definitely very rare) and both were served cool. Not worth returning, but somewhat underwhelming at best. Not even served on a hot plate. Nor was there special tableside carving for something as special as a chateaubriand. This leads me to rate the them as being just an average steakhouse, when they really should live up to a much higher standard - especially in consideration of the 5 star expectations that come with their prices. I would gladly pay the price, but that does mean that the food preparation needs to be perfect.
Oh. My. My husband and I have had a lot of nice meals all over the world and I have to say this was the BEST dining experience we’ve ever had. I had the bone in filet and my husband had the ribeye. Let me just say-we have never had any steak like this. Period. Hands down best meat I’ve ever had. The whipped potatoes are Ah-mazing as well as the delicious bread they bring out. I highly recommend drinking a bottle a Siduri Pinot Noir which was to die for. For desert we had the white chocolate bread pudding. I didn’t think I could eat it but once I had my first bite- I couldn’t stop. Jennifer was our stellar waitress who made us feel so special! She was hands down the reason we had such a great experience.
Fabulous service at a restaurant that usually has excellent service.
3/4/18 we celebrated my son’s birthday we had great service as we sat in the enclosed patio.
Service was too slow. Food was good but overpriced.
For the price, the service was lacking.
This was our 4th visit in a year and we've always found the service inattentive.
For this visit, no water was brought to the table. We finally asked after 30 minutes. Our party of 4 was there 1.5 hours before giving our food order. The server nudged our friend to prompt his drink order. Dirty dishes were left on the table - in fact, new dishes were added while empty dishes were moved aside, not removed, by servers. It was not the level of service I expected, as our tab came to $100 per person.
However, the food was excellent.
My husbands birthday with our daughter and our best friends. Everything wa fantastic!
Our server’s name was Brittany! She was fantastic! Very friendly and kept us entertained! The food was perfect! We had a great experience.
We come here often. Food is always great. However, this trip the steak was nothing like it normally is. My wife and I always split the 64oz bone in ribeye. Typically the steak is juicy, thick and very tasty. This time the steak was rather thin and overly dry with minimal flavor. The rest of the food and service was excellent as usual. We’ll be back as this is the first time in many visits we’ve experienced anything less than excellence here. But with a $66 price for just the steak, you should never have a bad experience. A little disappointed but we’ll return.
Not bad, food was good service was great waitress was attentive and accurate
Our server and appetizers/dinner were amazing. However, we were placed at a table located on the patio directly under the heaters. Although the temporary walls were in place, the patio area was not acceptable. It was raining incredibly hard that evening, and on multiple occasions myself and several members of our party had water dripping on us from the leaking awning. We asked to be moved inside, but tables were just moved to a different place under the awning, not inside the restaurant. We had to ask for the heaters to be turned down/off due to the immense heat. Our server even commented on how incredibly hot it was in the patio area. After a time in this location, we again began to see water dropping on our table. This would not be acceptable at any time, but this particular reservation was for my daughter and her bridal party. I was disappointed in this aspect of our visit. I feel more could have and should have been done to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
There was a extremely loud table next to us . The man at the table was talking very loudly and sometimes shouting. Most of the customers were looking at the group at the table because they were annoyed as were we. This is not a BW3 restaurant!!! My husband and I couldn't even carry on a conversation. I asked our server if he could ask them to quite down a bit and he said he would...but he didn't. I also ordered a coffee after dinner and the server brought our check and forgot about my coffee. We were celebrating my husband's birthday .... I asked for a quiet table in my reservation request and was seated next to the loudest table in the restaurant.
One of our favorites and have brought a large group every Christmas Eve for years.
We love to do last minute gifts in between cocktails and then finish with an awesome dinner.
We dine other times of the year and like the casual atmosphere of the bar tables and the patio for people watching when just the two of us. Lunch or dinner, Highly recommend.
Terrible service. We had a reservation for our anniversary and arrived a minute early. We waited for 5 minutes at the door before we were even greeted. We waited another 10 minutes before the host first came to the table. We ended up just walking out... no reason why we should have to wait that long. It was 7pm on a Sunday. There were plenty of employees for the few amount of customers in the restaurant.
The food was great & the service was exceptional. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.
My all time favorite place to go for a steak. Best I've ever had. Its great for a special occasion or a fancy date night.
Food was good but not great for such a nice place. Over cooked.
Multiple dishes sent back, extremely hot inside and slow but pleasant service
Our waitress was not attentive. We did not hear the specials or anything else that was a feature. My order came out wrong. And she blamed it on someone else. My husbands food was not cooked to temperature and once mine arrived it was raw in the middle. There are other restaurants at easton that run circles around this restaurant.
I actually spit out my food in the napkin and didn’t eat another bite. She didn’t even ask if the food was satisfactory once it was delivered. I have NEVER spit out my food in a napkin as an adult.
We decided that night that we would ever return.
Over the years we have visited S&W many times. But we get busy with life and such, it has been over a year since we had been. So as a belated Valentine's date my wife suggested we go back and I was in total agreement.
Now my wife was happy with her steak. I tried the whiskey marinated sirloin and we got sides of mushrooms and lobster mashed potatoes. Potatoes were great as usual. However the cut of my sirloin was totally substandard and not what I expect from this establishment. By this I mean it was equal parts fat and gristle to actual beef. I have definitely had better steak from Kroger that I cooked myself.
My other complaint is the mushrooms. For some reason S&W changed the way they are prepared and what we got was mostly stems cut lengthwise. They were ok, but nothing like what I had ordered in the past, as in what I would jokingly refer to as "crack".
I was not happy and of course for what it cost really expected a better meal. But being a date night I didn't want to ruin the mood. I did inform our server but I held back being brutally honest because I didn't want to ruin the night for my wife.
Skip the beef bacon, it tastes like......bacon. truffle Mac was great as were our steaks. I felt it was a little pricey for the addons. I would've gotten a drink but they we're $15 I would've gotten an after dinner coffee except it was $15. I know I'm gonna pay a lot but after a $65 steak don't break my balls with the little stuff. Would go again good food just be aware of the addons.
Less than impressed. Steak was nothing more than what is available at Roadhouse. Staff was provided uniforms to look professional but didn't. The name and brand are a quality steakhouse, however this location is not.
My husband and I were celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary which actually was on Valentine's Day. We did not want to risk the crowds on the day so we scheduled for Saturday. Everything was delightful, we went at 4PM and got to enjoy one of the small dining rooms by ourselves for almost the whole meal. Intimate setting by the fireplace. The waitress was very nice and the food was excellent. They even gave us a complimentary dessert for our special occasion.
It’s no wonder this place is empty most of the time. We hadn’t been in years but were on a date and everything else was booked. The service is what one would expect from a restaurant of this cost. Though I was surprised there’s no toiletries in the bathroom. But beyond that there’s nothing here that isn’t better for half the price walking distance away.
The salad dressings tasted watered down. The bacon on the salad was pretty great and thick cut but when all you can say about your salad is watered down lettuce with good bacon that’s not a great start.
The bread was nothing spectacular. Plain butter.
The steak had zero seasoning but was cooked well. It had a semi glaze which didn’t taste like much. Again tasted watered down.
The au gratin potatoes were a bland liquidy potato slur under a cheese crust.
We skipped desert.
Was it horrible. Not at all. It was simply okay. But the same meal maybe a bit better at longhorn would have been less than half the price. When you’re in a price range competing with the Top, Ocean Club, and Mitchell’s this just doesn’t cut it.
Our server was very pleasant and would recommend him and the restaurant to anyone!
First time there did not disappoint. Very romantic environment, excellent service, best steak I've ever had in my life! The chocolate cake is enormous and soooo delicious! We will need to make this a date night once a month I'm thinking.
Our server was very attentive and took very good care of all our needs.
It was Valentine's Day so it was busy and packed as expected. I was surprised how many people were there like it was a normal event. Judging by the prices on the menu I figured only couples would be there. But I guess they have customers that have more money to spend than I do, because there were two families seated nearby with small children. Another table nearby had a loud group celebrating a birthday.
The food however was excellent. We ordered a Caeser salad that we split and enjoyed it with the bread brought to the table.
Next came our drinks. My date had a wine that she enjoyed and I had a Manhattan made with Maker's Mark. It was quite good!
We ordered two sides with our dinner, the potato croquettes and the creamy spinach. I enjoyed the spinach but my date and I didn't care for the croquettes, which had a horseradish sauce. We asked for an order of the potatoes au gratin instead and we enjoyed that much more.
The entree for her was a 10 oz fillet that was very tender and tasty. She enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as I enjoyed my 24 oz bone in aged ribeye. I enjoy food, but this steak prepared medium rare had me feeling very satisfied! So much flavor!
Service was a little slow, but only because of the holiday. Our waitress was very friendly and helped answer any questions we had about the menu. When we did have the issue with the croquettes, we were brought an exchange item very promptly.
I highly recommend this location. My only caveat, if you're reserving far in advance for a special occasion, go there in person (after reserving on open table) and pick out the seating you want to make sure it's right for your party and the occasion.
Food was excellent and our server was great!!!
Valentines Day dinner.
Everything was great but the tables were way to close to each other, which made it very uncomfortable to have a conversation. The food was amazing and so was the service.
Great food and service. I expected a bit more atmosphere. I would not pick it for a memorable date night.
Good cocktails, steaks, sides,and service.
Better than Bob’s or Ruth’s Chris steakhouses.
My husband and I went for my birthday. Started with cocktails, half dozen oysters. Shared a wedge salad, followed by the 44oz porterhouse for 2, creamed spinach and whipped potatoes. I also had a glass of the meritage with dinner. Everything was delicious and we left full! Took a piece of the 10layer chocolate cake to go. It’s pricey, but a wonderful treat for special occasions!
