Went here for a business dinner. Food: Very disappointed at the cuts of meat! Chef does not know the temps Service: Terrible We were seated before the restaurant got busy., several tables arrived after us and left before us. Service was horrible Wait Staff: They did their best, I assume. Our Server tried to make it right, great humor and personable but Service and food are key. Much better steak houses around. Shameful for this icon restaurant

Everything met and or exceeded our expectations. Wine, appetizers, and service top notch. Filet mignon you can cut with a fork and perfectly cooked. Reasonably priced for the quality of the restaurant experience. A true New York classic.

Donal behind the bar saved this visit. Came back after 15 years. Shell of its former self. Upstairs is for tourists, half plaster walls, scrunched tables and fast service to flip tables. We had the porterhouse. No seasoning at all and bland in flavour. Very disappointed...

Tony took great care of us! The meal was excellent, the steaks cooked to perfection and very flavorful and tender. We also enjoyed branzino and many delicious side dishes. The wines were wonderfully paired. It was a perfect evening and celebration of our son's birthday who was visiting from college. We look forward to returning in the near future!

DO NOT GO HERE FOR THANKSGIVING! I chose this place out of 100s of others for my mom and I visiting from California on Thanksgiving week. The turkey tasted like the turkey you get from a grocery counter. The stuffing was dry and most of all they ran out of mashed potatoes!!!! On Thanksgiving! We were the 7 PM seating, did they not know what day it was and be prepared??? This is a staple item for any good Thanksgiving dinner. In addition, the waiter named Juan, did not seem to care when he told us they were out and the manager named Josh, tried to make it right by giving us a free desert. But the food was not thanksgiving day worthy. I cannot comment on their normal daily menu, but I can save you the trouble and say there are way better choices in New York than here!!!

We had our thanksgiving dinner here and the service was exceptional. Our waiter was very attentive and personable and made our thanksgiving very enjoyable and less stressful with our two young children (aged 3 and 8). The food was excellent but the service was top notch.

It’s disappointing. It’s an iconic place with a chaotic ambience and mediocre food. Sides were nothing special. The waiters are all legacy so they’re going through motions. There was just one I heard(at another table that was exuberant). Otherwise, they were pretty dead in the eyes. Lovely jackets. If only those stars reflected their presence. If you’re looking for a loud place to eat steak- go. Otherwise, I really wish maloney and porcelli was still a thing. Exciting offerings. Ambience was bustling but warm. It’s sad all the good restaurants go away and we’re left with mediocrity.

My waiter summed me up as a single mom with two teenagers and assumed I would stiff him on the tip. He was also bent out of shape because I don’t drink alcohol and my teens weren’t of age to drink. He was hard of hearing and needed us to repeat everything we said. He was however, very attentive and I tipped him well. My kids looked forward to that meal all weekend long but I probably will not be back.

Overall a disappointing experience. An uncomfortable feeling at the bar whilst waiting to be seated as the barman was not in a very good mood. The oysters were gritty, the steak over cooked and the Mac n cheese was made with shell pasta and unpleasant. Very noisy. We shared our feedback and were offered an opportunity to come back for bubbly and oysters the following day. A real shame as we were recommended to come as it was meant to be amazing. An expensive mistake at $200
