   Have come here for years but won't come back. Steaks and fish were overcooked and the waiter did nothing. Everything was very average and tasted like it was pre-prepared.

   Go to the Smith & Wollensky in Chicago not NY. This is a terrible version of a normally thoroughly enjoyable weekend dining experience with friends. When do you need to send a steak back to have it cooked properly when the restaurant's main purpose is to sell steaks? Go to Chicago, enjoy your evening dining experience while watching the river turn green on St. Patrick's Day.

   As a New Yorker who always love and respect Smith and Wollensky but just didn’t hit the mark. we had an early reservation so restaurant pretty empty but I seemed to be waiting to place order or on refill of drink. Food was solid wasn’t excellent. For example the Brussels sprouts side was undercooked and some were hard. Porterhouse for two medium rare was good but was more rare in the center cuts. We are under the atrium and could still see water damage marks on the walls that were there years ago. Overall nice experience would go back but not a must

   I was left disappointed by the steak, poorly cooked and very fatty for a filet. The manager was excellent, offering a very appreciated apology and options to resolve my disappointment.

    Food was mediocre lacked flavor and was lukewarm. Only saving grace of the meal was the carrot cake. Service was good and attentive. Overall not worth the price and much better steakhouse options at that price point

    We were celebrating my best friend matching for residency, and they brought us a dessert to help celebrate and comped the other desserts we ordered. The service here was truly amazing. The main foods we ordered were mediocre aside from the mashed potatoes and oysters that were very delicious.

    Filet was good but have had better. A bit chewy for a $60 steak. Lobster tail was over cooked, dry. Mashed potatoes, bland. Service and wine was good. Entire dinner for one $125, not worth it.

    The wine & dine deal was amazing value. However we had flagged with management on our reservation that we had a vegetarian in our party. They served a vegetable platter as her main course, and still charged $95. Sautéed vegetables!! Surely in 2023 even a steak house can offer a vegetarian option???? Also the espresso martinis were the worst we’ve ever had. The wine however was lovely as were the starters

    I think the staff gives you poor service if you are doing the “Experience” (3 courses + wine) reservation. It was a give away when the waiter brought us the regular menu and we said we booked such and he said “Well you should have told them when you checked in” Like it was our responsibility to let the check in staff know when they know what we are there for, right? Then the courses were like being dumped on our table. We ordered 2 steaks medium and gave us one medium rare. The kicker was that we waited 1/2 hour for the desert which by that time I checked out… I’ll stick with the Grill next time or will not be back for a while after this disaster of a dining experience in this our favorite go to place… Well, until this night.

    The service was pretty poor. Our waiter Tony almost felt like he was doing us a favour for serving us and if I’m honest as 6 females it almost felt a little bit sexist. As the only group of females in the restaurant we had to continuous ask to be served ! Yes the restaurant was busy but to wait for almost 10 minutes before we were asked if we wanted a starter and then when we said no Tony our waiter disappeared leaving us to try and speak with another to get an order of drinks Personally I wouldn’t go back even though the steaks were amazing it was cramped and over priced . With a 20% service charge instantly added and at a total cost of almost £1000 this seemed more than fair but because we didn’t tip further this seemed to annoy Tony more and we didn’t even get acknowledged as we left !

    Half of the food was ok but a definite disappoint to our experience in Las Vegas. My steak was really undercooked, they took it to cook it some more and it returned from the microwave a short time later still raw. Very loud and could not hold a conversation at the table. This location was not one that we would return to.

    Love Love Love this place. But we ordered cocktails, shellfish, salad and steaks and still got the check 37 minutes after we sat down. I am not looking to dine, but 3 course should take at least an hour.

    Was very much looking forward to their delicious burger but was told by waiter they only serve burger on the grill side of restaurant! Highly disappointed and ended up with lamb chops that were just “ok”! The other people in my party were happy with ribeye, especially the cajun rub.

    A NYC classic but possibly too comfortable relying on its name and status. Steaks were absolutely perfect, but the sides came out quite cold. Bread basket had a great selection but was also cold- as if it came straight from a fridge to the table. Table service could have been a more efficient in terms of refilling water, but everyone was friendly.
