Great food, great service and a great table!!!!
Tables too crowded. Waiter didn’t check back often. Steak was under cooked. Morton’s is better.
Solid meal. Bone in filet was a bit gristly but wife’s filet and shrimp was excellent. Over very good
Loved it great food!!!
The waiters were not very attentive. Very noisy. Steak was great.
Terrific ambiance, great food, tasty wine!
Waiter (Robert) seemed rushed. Rather rude at times. Food on part with other NYC steak houses.
Service was great. Steak was good but not awesome.
My only complaint, which was my fault, was the branzino was overly spiced and didn’t really enjoy it. I shouldn’t have ordered this at a steak house. I wanted to order a seafood since I was sharing the steak with my bf. The Colorado steak did not disappoint. I had a taste of my sister’s cajun steak which seemed to have the same spices as the branzino. I would’ve just stuck to the tried and true porter house steaks etc. The waiters were outstanding though.
Excellent. Cajun Ribeye was outstanding. Will come back for sure!
Good but not great... expected more due to reputation.
I have been to S&W many times over the years and it is simply the best steak house at which I have eaten. Had a bizarre experience with the goat check lady that while I do not want it to detract from the food and table service it did put a damper on the experience. We were a party of five and checked our coats and received five tickets. Upon leaving I gave her the five tickets and only got four coats back. She kept insisting that I only gave her four tickets. After going back and forth and describing the coat to her, my wife finally had to get the manager to come at which point she immediately gives me the coat. Why we had to go through all the hassle was beyond me.
Great Steakhouse never disappointing listen to the waiters!
John was an exceptional waiter very attentive and very helpful
Finally made it here, and it was worth the wait. Great steaks and sides, was seated in a booth in lieu of a table without even having to ask, and there was no wait. Definitely make a reservation though; we went in a 7pm on a Wednesday, and there were people waiting to be seated. However, reservations appear to be placed promptly--at least, we were!
Great dinner with me and my friend. Ribeye was delicious
Great food, Good selection of steaks cooked to perfection, nice atmosphere and good service
For beef eaters S and W is a must. We ordered the prime rib and the meat was terrific; tender and juicy. We also ordered sauteed spinach which was all we needed.
We enjoyed the cocktails as well.
Ribeye was great. Our waiter tony d provided 5 star service, including recommending a great wine.
Excellent food and service! Food came out quickly...Cooked to perfection and wait staff extremely attentive.
This is still our favorite restaurant. The food is sensational. The service is old school perfect. It's our go-to place for special occasions.
Always enjoy going here. A true treat when in NYC.
Visited again and everything from the service to the food was excellent, Smith & Wollensky remains one of our favorite NYC spots!
Vinaigrette on the salad was actually vinegar, so best to avoid that dressing.
Fillet was of high quality but medium rare was delivered very rare, so best to calibrate order accordingly.
Portions are large, so better to share.
Prawns were very good.
Cauliflower was excellent.
Music choice for the venue was good, but sound system quite poor.
Wait staff were very attentive. Very professional.
Great service and ambiance..and food always terrific. Good for business or social gatherings.
Smith & Wollensky has been among few of my favorite steak-houses. It has been always been a good choice.
I never to seem to get disappointed and love the porterhouse for two with my wife. Very cozy and love the crowd. You will not regret
Steak was mediocre and for the price high. I as led for a recommended dry white wine only to find out it was
way above the average in cost $.
Great experience for my husband, daughter and I on her first trip to NYC. We were joined by a local New Yorker who had wanted to try but hadn’t yet. Great food, wine and service. We all enjoyed ourselves and would come back for sure!
Good was great. Service was ambivalent.
Seafood tower and lamb chops were fantastic !!
Meet wasn’t prime great, and price wasn’t fair for this quality of steak
Our reservation was for a Saturday nite in February. We arrived on time, the hostess at the front checked us in,showed us the coat check area and asked us to wait in the bar while our table was being cleaned. Had a drink at the bar, lively and crowded but friendly. Table was against the wall as I requested as the middle of the room can be quite loud. Steak and Lobster Tail were cooked perfectly....the bread basket was delish and we ate all with our drinks while waiting for our food. Staff were helpful but not too much.....When you want the best food, service and ambiance, come here. Expensive but worth it....all fine steak houses are......
Good food, good wine, excellent service.
Service was superb the food is good however the steak was disappointing
The food was good and portions huge, if you’re a big steak person this will not disappoint! I ordered a drink I didn’t get and I ordered fries and got a baked potato! Other than that great steak place! Go!!
The food was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and accommodating. The table next to us was a little too loud with the foul language and bad jokes but we made the best of it. Definitely a place to dine at at lease once.
Great service and great food. Steak was melt in your mouth, barely needed a knife. Loaded potatoe au gratin was the best thing I've ever hand.
