Lin made us feel at home! The wine dinner is the way to go. We came after seeing a Broadway show, and I did not leave feeling too full. The meal was perfect, and Lin kept pouring the wine for us all night ! We will be back.

Service was exceptional!! Our steak was pretty under-seasoned and the idle pieces were very rare but our waiter took it back and re -seared it for us, then he comped us some desert wine and we had a nice chat and he was just another good person trying to do his best. So we left an over 25% tip and considered the night a success. Every other thing we ordered including the wine was above and beyond what you’d expect from this caliber of steakhouse.

We were seated upstairs which felt like like a event space and not a fine dining restaurant. Noise level was unbearably loud and ambience was non-existent. Service was brisk and felt a little rushed for a quick turnover. It really felt like a tourist trap where they were only concerned about serving you quickly and getting you out the door. Medium rare porterhouse for two came out rare so asked to cook a little longer. Of course it came back overcooked. Asparagus was just bland broiled. I was overall very disappointed.

Outstanding experience as always! Smith & Wollensky’s is far and away the best steakhouse in New York and what you should be thinking about when you think of a New York steakhouse. Special shout out to the managers Nick and Helena as well as Frank G and Art on the wait staff for making this evening extra special!

Service was awesome! Food was not the best. My medium rare filet was too rare enough after I sent it back. Lots of fat in the sirloin that my husband had.
