This is something very new and completely unique both to our region and the larger food scene. Smashing Grapes brings what is timely and special about the West Coast food scene to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Smashing Grapes boasts an expansive wine lists of bold reds and crisp and tangy whites from Spain, Argentina, Germany, California and beyond. In addition to its broad wine list, Smashing Grapes’ seasoned chef, Sagar Bishwokarma, crafted a menu highlighting Coastal California inspired dishes with sustainably sourced, unique ingredients.

When you dine with us to celebrate any special occasion, we allow you to bring in your own dessert. There will be a $3.00 per person outside dessert fee for that convienance.

    The restaurant was nice. The staff was excellent, very welcoming friendly and inclusively diverse which is nice to see that management making a point to hire that way. It was unclear to me from the website that the $55 per person Sunday buffet brunch was the ONLY food option from 10am-3pm. It kind of hit my wallet since I am not a big eater, and was planning to eat a light lunch. The food was good, but as it was nearing the end of the brunch time, food was not very hot & getting dried out on the buffet stations. Good parking, good atmosphere. I'll try it again on another day when I can sample the wine and food from the menu.

    Everything was delicious. I really enjoyed this dining experience. The service, atmosphere and food was amazing. All of the staff was friendly and attentive, even the Owners and Managers. I really enjoyed the signature cocktails and switch up in the menu. The crab soup was so delicious, the right amount of spice and creaminess. I love the wings, they are a great choice for an appetizer. I hope this location keeps up this magnetic energy.

    The best experience! The staff was incredible, with nearly everyone who walked by making sure we had everything we could possibly want. The wine and cocktail were perfect. The food was a “yum” with every bite. So, so good. Music entertainment was great for the setting. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Best date night in a while!

    Loved this place the first time we had dinner. This time, not so much. Rosemary fries were lukewarm at best, and even after calling it to the attention of our waitress, got another order that was just the same. Food was just okay…Steak had no flavor, risotto was not as pictured on their advertisement. Plain, bland…just okay. Appetizers and happy hour are probably best…maybe lunch?

    Great wine! Unfortunately not all the menu changes are good. I appreciate trying to bring the West coast cuisine east, however, the mark was missed. The entree selection is limited, however, the appetizers are vast. Outside of the kids menu there isn’t much of a selection for children. Why bring kids to a wine bar? We did previously and had a great dining experience. If you have a nut or seafood allergy your food selection is extremely limited since all the fried foods are fried in the same oil. On the planning side I was told my large party for my birthday celebration would be in the back room by catering to allow for us to have a more intimate evening. However, when we arrived we were seated in the main dining area. I would go back for wine but that’s it.

    Michelle was great! She always checked on us. Asked us if we needed anything. The manager on duty came by and checked on us as well. We told her that the chicken and biscuit was stale. She informed us that they put some new ones out and indeed they did. They looked very fresh. When I asked the omelet guy for an egg white omelet. He didn't have any so I was walking away. Then he told me to wait. And he got it done. He asked someone to get me some egg whites and he made it for me. I was very happy about that. This made my experience wonderful!

    We had the Sunday Brunch Buffet and for the price I don’t believe it was worth it. For the price I believe drinks should be included. A lot of buffets are about $50 which includes drinks such as juices and teas, etc. Some offer bottomless mimosas.

    While Nate was amazing and provided wonderful service, we were very disappointed with the food. My two previous visits were rated 5-star. However, this was a completely different experience. Nate explained the recent menu changes. But, the menu options were not the issue. The food was simply not tasty and even the signature cocktail was disappointing. I am hoping for changes that will once again make Smashing Grape a 5-star experience.

    This was my 3rd visit, but today I brought my sister for her first time, and she is in love with the food and how wonderfully fresh everything is. And Jason, our waiter, was the best. He gave some great tips on food and drinks and dessert even, perfect luncheon.

    A very good experience, we’ll be coming back. The GM, Ray, made sure to come by and ask if everything was to our satisfaction- it was - which was an unexpected but appreciated personal touch. Our waiter, Coleman, provided excellent customer service and knew his stuff when it came to pairings. They do have good cocktails but it’s a great place to try new wines (or a variety of them). It’s one of the few “nicer” (you can take someone here on a first date to impress them) places in the area, so it’s fortunate the other aspects - food, service, wines - are as equally notable.

    Everything was good - the food and service, communication about our table being ready and on time. Only problem was the air conditioning wasn’t working. I’m sure they will have it fixed soon. I look forward to coming back.

    Excellent brunch choices and the food was delicious! It was my sons' 48th birthday celebration, everyone in our group enjoyed themselves. Our waitress was wonderful!

    We hosted a family birthday there. The server was excellent and tried to make the experience the best but lots of rules for large parties and hidden fees. It was bad but I don’t think we will be going back.

    My husband and I have been here several times. My recent dining experience revealed an updated and expanded menu. I was little disappointed because they removed a couple of things I really liked. Both my friend and I had to send out food back once

    I love the food and the staff are all wonderful. My only complaint about this restaurant is the longer than usual wait time for food to be delivered. So, just be prepared for it to be a more leisurely meal experience and enjoy.
