Our experience was excellent! Food was delicious, service was fast & drinks were tasty 😋
Everything was nice. Although a pricey, the food was delicious.
Our reservation was at 4:00. They opened the doors right at 4. We were the first one's there. Prompt service, Great waitress. Prices were a little high but to be expected in the downtown area. They had no issues with us splitting a dish. The kitchen even did two spate plates for us! Awesome! I was hoping for crab legs and by their name I thought for sure that would be my meal but they SERVE NO CRAB!! They had one dish with king crab in it but it was over $100 for that dish! They need to change their name to the sloppy lobster as they had mostly lobster. We had a shrimp scampi that was FABULOUS! I would go back for that dish again!!!
They didn’t have a table available so we had to fine seats at the bar the food is very overpriced and very blend tasting drinks where good and the bartenders was great and friendly
This place is interesting. All white everything, looks very polished, but there’s HUGE TVs in multiple locations, which we appreciated, but gave a conflicting sports bar vibe. We were not given a drink menu, but when I asked for a wine menu, was told “we don’t really have one.” I ordered a dirty martini, which tasted much more like straight olive juice. Two items I was interested in ordering were sold out. We proceeded to order a couple different small plates, salmon bites, fried shrimp, & fish tacos. They were all good, nothing that blew my mind, most items were breaded &/or fried but had lots of seasoning and flavor. It was pretty pricey, well over $100, even for good food, I don’t feel price was appropriate. BUT they also played awesome music.
Overpriced drinks and side dishes are not made to order. Bill was $175 for two. This is NOT Ruth Chris or STK.
The food was excellent.
I was disappointed. Food was good but there was no total package. The area we sat in was not clean (food all over the walls) and the ambiance and service was lacking. There was nothing special about the restaurant. I felt that I was sitting in an unfinished room. Since there was no total package, I don’t think it was worth the money ($25 for drinks, $40-$50 + for food). I just expected more. If I go back, it will most likely be for takeout only.
You have to try it, will definitely be going back!
My husband and I along with another couple were out on an after Christmas date. We were staying overnight at MotorCity Casino hotel and wanted to eat at a nice restaurant close by with good food and a relaxing atmosphere.
Sloppy Crabs was it! The food was sooo, sooo good, absolutely delicious! And the atmosphere and service was great! I got the Sloppy Chops, my husband the salmon, our friends got the stuffed salmon and lobster Mac n cheez! OMG!!! We all were so so pleased!!!! And the drinks did not disappoint!!!!
Table was dirty when we sat down but server was very nice about cleaning the table off. The food and drinks were good but slightly overpriced. We made a reservation for 7 pm. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that said there was a private party at 8 and they will close at 8 for it. Therefore, I feel like our dinner was very rushed. I wish they would have posted about the closing on their social media. We could have came a different night.
The online said it closed at 11 but closed at 9 and I had a 10:30 reservation
The wait was long but, but the food was excellent. The tables could be better distributed for the noise level. But overall it was good I would go back once they are open a little longer and work out the kinks.
Good vibes, good music, good people. I’d go back fasho
Two out of four they did not have cocktail choice.. they we out ! Did not even have a beer choice. Food was good though.
the food was excellent and the atmosphere was casual
I wish I would have read the reviews and I never leave reviews but feel compelled to warn. Spot on around seemingly the team ran out of budget before finishing the decor. They ran out of wine. The bathroom smelled nauseatingly of sewer and the wait for the food was an hour for a 4-top when the restaurant was at 60% capacity. The server was great, tried to smooth over the wait but when the food arrived it wasn’t worth it. The lobster tails tasted of kerosene and was a shame for $60 a pop. The salmon was perfectly done though - not over cooked. Overall, disappointing and I really wanted to like it.
The floors and bar are beautiful but it’s like the budget ran out and they just painted all the existing fittings and walls white without much thought to the look. The decor is akin to walking into an emergency room as far as lighting, at some point someone turned the lights off in half the place by accident and it actually felt better. The waitress was attentive and helpful but the appetizer took forever and then our mains showed up 2 mins later. For the price of the items we were hoping for something special, the lobster in both dishes was extremely overcooked the pasta sauce was watery and nothing about the food impressed us. I understand that coco
The Sloppy Crab was very interesting and not what I expected at all. The atmosphere can be improved just by installing different lighting. It was just too bright in there. The food was great. We had the Lobster Tacos and asparagus. The bar was not quite finished as the taps were not working yet, but we had bourbon and beer in bottles. The staff was great, very attentive, friendly and helpful. I would say that our overall experience was good, but not great. With a few changes though it could be a very good place to go in the future.
I had a reservation at 6pm, I was sat at 6:10….it is now 7:11 and we haven't ordered drinks nor food. No one has even come to the table. I try to support black business, but the lack of customer concern or service is beyond me. I came here for the first time as its my birthday after paying $20 to park and someone getting 18% gratuity off me and haven't done anything to make this experience great and recommendable is ridiculous. I hope it gets better. Now we’re being told that the kitchen is closed. Only person that gave us information at (7:26) was Manny (busser) and Tareale (hostess)give them a raise. We ordered at 7:27 and i just received my food at 8:37
It took 35 minutes for our server to bring water. While the owner stood next to our table having a business convo. We were served all silver in one cloth napkin and given bathroom paper towels. We started with 2 knives and had to share. They were busy, however it speaks on the disorganization of the establishment to not be prepared for a large party they were serving in the main dining. To pay $100 per person and receive that kind of service was not okay.
Went for Sunday brunch. Took forever for waitstaff to greet us after being seated. Food also took a while to come out. They ran out of champagne for mimosas, but offered no substitute. After asking the manager a couple times about an alternative, she obliged. I ordered the shrimp and lobster omelette it was ok, just needed more flavor. They with potatoes that were really good! Food came out hot! Which was great! The drink (peach martini) was good & strong!
The restaurant is bright and I love the colors and TVs. The food is delicious and the staff are great.
a fight broke out just when our appetizers and drinks were delivered. The commotion continued for several minutes and our party opted to leave because we did not feel safe. Mgmt was understanding and comp'd the bill. Given the circumstances of the fight, I feel it was a one-off type of thing and I will go back to the restaurant again.
I have heard nothing but good things about the food.
Food was good. Service was a bit slow. Overall good. I will return!!!
We celebrated a birthday and had a good time.
We were not happy with the food that we order. The lamb chops were smaller than a lollipop, the mashed potatoes were cold as well as the asparagus. Some of the items listed on the menu were unavailable.
The service was great but the food and how long it took to get it was not great. They were out of crab even though that’s what they specialize in. The prices was to high for the quality of the food they served. It wasn’t to clean. People were working with coats on and not washing their hands before touching dishes.
Waitress got drinks mixed up. Food order was taken after hour. Food didn't come and we left. Manager offered a discount for our next visit. That's the only reason I'd go back.
I made reservations for my birthday. We get to the restaurant, tell the hostess that we have reservations and she looks confused. After being seated, we sat for about 25 minutes before being brought silverware & water by two random waitresses just walking by. Our waitress never came to the table. We ended up moving to the bar and sat for another 25 minutes. We were never asked NOT EVEN ONE TIME what we wanted to eat or drink. We were never greeted by a server or bartender. When I did speak with two employees, I was told by one “this is not my section” and the other “I’m just a server.” I was really excited to try this place and even more disappointed by the lack of service from an “upscale restaurant.” Won’t be returning.
Food was great but the hostess was rude
I made a reservation for Sloppy Crab, showed up on time, only to find that they didn’t open for almost an hour AFTER my reservation (Saturday reservation = 11:15a// actual opening =12p)! I was sorely disappointed as my girlfriends and I were looking forward to trying this place and supporting the business. Thankfully, we were able to find another place to accommodate us. I am not inclined to rebook, but I did suggest to the person I was able to speak with that they update their information since their website directs you to use OpenTable to book.
I couldn’t make a reservation for more than 6 online and then I called 2 days in a row to update it and left my number with 2 people and no one ever reached back out. Once I arrived the host said we could sit in the jazz area for a bigger party and then after getting my appetizer in a timely fashion my cousins waited 1 hour for 2 pasta the chicken and scampi the rest of the party ordered fish tacos and got their food before the pasta then the server never told us we needed to be on one tab and couldn’t use multiple cards for the payment so everyone was forced to pay one person for all their food and drinks. Why wouldn’t the tell us that from the beginning? Furthermore the server just was not attentive for someone that was making us pay automatic gratuity, if you want to run a business and guarantee the tip of your employees then make sure you have staff that works hard and not just there to be cute. Not worth the money or time we spent there but the live band was amazing
Food was very good! Drinks were delicious and service was amazing! Definitely coming back
Expensive for essentially no reason. Food is below average and the interior fails to even come close to what was a good looking exterior that drew us in. Really disappointing after such a long wait for it to open.
First, it was extremely cold in the restaurant. If there was a problem with heating that could not be fixed they should have been closed, why take the risk of unsatisfied and uncomfortable patrons. We had to keep our coats on during dinner and we’re still shivering!! Second, the waiter took forever to do anything and didn’t even bring silverware until we asked after getting our appetizers. Third, the appetizers were just warm and my salmon bites were dry and overcooked with very little sauce. Fourth, we ordered the shrimp scampi pasta dish that came out without bread, just the pasta dish. I stayed to patronize but I wish I had of walked out before even ordering. It was a total waste of $200 and they had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity change for two people for terrible service! I will never go back again!
I visited from Houston, TX and Sunday Brunch was perfect. Food was great and the service matched! Keep up the good work!
Definitely not what we expected. Service was very slow and food is very over priced. My husband and I ordered a king crab leg, a bowl of mashed potatoes, lamb chops with asparagus (the Mac & cheese was terrible so I sent it back), no drinks (just plain old water) 20% gratuity for just 2 people which brought our bill to $190. If you're going to run an upscale business, then please provide upscale service for these upscale prices. Sorry, we won't be back.
