Lively, bistro atmosphere. SNOB continues to be a favorite lunch spot whenever we visit Charleston. The consistency of quality prepared dishes and professional, friendly service brings us back year after year.
Food and service was great. Lived up to our expectations.
We made reservations to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and we were not disappointed!
Keegan was our server and he did a fabulous job, attending to every detail, equally attentive and giving us space to enjoy a leisurely dinner.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, the snapper was delicious as was the scallops. My husbands lamb was done to perfection.
Drinks were delicious and well made.
We shared creme brûlée and banana creme pie which was to die for....
Sadly we do not live in Charleston but when we return we will definitely go here for dinner.
We have been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Great food, great service. One of the consistently best in Charleston!
SNOB is always the perfect place to grab lunch or dinner as the menu offers something for everyone! I also love that it keeps everything southern on the menu, even the salads. I always try the special and yesterday’s flatbread was amazing! BTW The renovation is gorgeous; still old but new! Loved all the different patterns and art!
Great service and food, our second trip to SNOB, thanks again!
Excellent food at lunch with fun ambiance and good friendly service. Thanks
Always exceptional. My husband and I come back every year when we visit his family, it has become a tradition we are always looking forward to.
Food and Service were excellent . . . recommend the 5:30 time as it was not too crowded nor noisey. . . but that changed (for the worse) by 8:00 when we left. Waitress was very personable and helpful.
The Two ladies had shrimp and grits which was outstanding and to-go boxes were required. The guys had the two fish specials...tile fish and halibut both fantastic. A side of collard greens shared with everyone was delicious. Service by Jeff and the entire SNOB crew was very attentive yet gave us plenty of time to enjoy our meal and each other’s company.
Great little spot. Always enjoy it when in Charleston. Ribeye was fantastic. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Crab soup was delicious. Make a reservation as it’s usually busy.
Best beef carpaccio ever. And our waiter Chris made our experience that much more enjoyable.
Loved the atmosphere. Had the butternut squash soup and swordfish and both were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you’re going to be in Charleston - get reservations in advance!
Absolutely amazing!! Such great service and incredible food!! Would recommend to anyone going to Charleston!
Awesome place for special occasions and great food! We were celebrating an Anniversary and they seated us at a very cozy table in a not so crowded area of the restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive and the service could not have been better! It was an excellent choice to celebrate our special occasion!
It was a wonderful dining experience! The service was excellent and so was the food.
Fried chicken and waffles ..... chicken over cooked and dry. Waffle just ok.
$16 price too high.
All around great meal. Casual yet classy. It was busy on a Saturday night and after an intial mix up without an assigned server the staff was very attentive and still had a great experience. Would highly recommend a visit. Loved the appetizers as well as the desserts
We had a great time at SNOB! Food was amazing! Server was great!! All and all best meal in Charleston!!
My friend and I came to Mt. Pleasant to visit a quilt show, but our dining was definitely going to be at Slightly North of Broad in Charleston. Love the seafood, good drinks also. I would definitely recommend visiting there for a outstanding meal.
While SNOB has an excellent reputation - it did not WOW me. It just did not live up to all the hype. Our waiter was amazing, a great conversationalist and sought to take care of our every request. But the dinner took wayyy too long to be served. We started with soup and salad and then we still had to wait a long time to be served our main meal. I had the rack of lamb. The lamb was delicious, but what I was totally unimpressed with were the sides. There were green beans that were good - but I could have cooked them myself and the other side?? It was so uneventful I don't remember. For me the sides round out the dish and these sides fell flat. Overall 6 people were in my group and everyone was happy with their food but since this was suppose to be a foodie destination I was a little disappointed.
The food was good, but uninspiring. All of the 4 of us dining felt this way individually. Having been to FIG & Peninsula Grill on this trip, I think it's important to put all this in perspective. If you're looking for satisfying food & that's all.....you're in the right place. But if you're in search of a true dining experience, then head elsewhere. There are just too many wonderful options in this city!!!
Service and food were amazing. Vegetable pate and shrimp and grits were great.
A very good meal and a pleasant surprise of quality and improved service and menu. Will go back!
We were in town with our 6 month old to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. The food was amazing (best lamb I’ve ever had) and our waiter was incredibly nice and informative. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in town again.
On a Thursday evening of an indescript week in March, SNOB was jam packed . So busy that our 7:15 reservation for four wasn’t ready for more than a half an hour afterward. We had a drink standing up at the bar, and another while our busy waiter was letting us checkout the menu. Dinner was quite good, a lovely amuse bouche, swordfish, lamb chops and steamed clams. As charming as the waiter was, the long wait and cold clams put a damper on the experience. It is hard to make everything work just right at a higher end restaurant, and this evening, SNOB was not clicking just right. It would have been nice if they’d picked up our drink at the bar, but none of those things would keep me from going back to this classic Charleston institution again.
A real treat! Loved my shrimp and grits, the ambiance and energy of SNOB.
The food was good but was overshadowed by a waiter that was a SNOB. He told us what to do and when he would do it. It was as if we were there for his convenience. When we asked for a desert menu he said "No! You will have to wait until I clear the table". The experience was enough that everyone in our party separately agreed that they would not return.
My wife and I had dinner at Slightly North of Broad on a recent week night. We were seated promptly for our 7 pm reservation. The place is moderate size, warm, and inviting. We split a salad to start. We tried the warm cornbread with the salad to our delight. We both ordered different fresh fish dishes that we expertly prepared and tasty. We finished off our dinner with sorbet for dessert. A very nice experience overall.
Waiter was great. Very helpful. We found the prices to be way over the quality of the food. It wasn’t that the food was bad. It was ok. Some thing tasty. But nothing was very the top and the prices were high.
Love SNOB. Always have to go there at least twice when we visit!!
SNOB has the best food. We go several times a year for special occasions and this evening was our 25th wedding anniversary. It is roughly $60 per person with several courses, a la carte, and drinks, so be prepared to spend some money when you go. We received complimentary 2 glasses of Champagne , which was wonderful. Very high quality ingredients with seasonal favorites and Lowcountry cuisine. Our server did make a mistake on our bill and charged our credit card twice which was very frustrating. We didn't know about it until the next day, as she didn't tell us that evening. I spoke with the manager the next day about it and she was very sorry and said this was not a usual occurrence at SNOB and provided us complementary desserts and drinks for our next visit for the error. In spite of this, this is an great place to dine.
Amazing meal and great service! I’d visited for lunch a few weeks prior and couldn’t stop thinking about the chicken liver dish. I loved it so much, I asked my colleagues to take me back during my next trip to Charleston!
This restaurant was recommended to us by a local (we were on vacation in Charleston.) The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts were quite amazing, too. We will go back to SNOB the next time we're in Charleston.
Waiter was excellent. His recommendations were great! We enjoyed the evening and would return.
I was disappointed by this visit. I felt that the menu description and the actual food item did not correspond, that I was misled. I had the Carolina Quail , chicken liver boudin, local kale, sorghum mustard. The stuffing consisted of only rice -- I saw and tasted no trace of chicken liver at all. I would have chosen another menu option had I known the stuffing was only rice and not crafted with actual boudin. I learned that I always need to ask specific questions about the menu items. The soups we had were OK, but nothing amazing. My last visit was wonderful -- this one, just average and disappointing.
Southern Medley was AMAZING. A must try!! Thought about that meal the rest of the trip!!
Excellent evening! Ordered crab cakes for an appetizer but they ran out. No problem because my husband and I shared a delicious venison and charred Brussels sprouts appetizer that was cooked to perfection. For a main dish I had seared scallops that were probably the best I have ever had and my husband had the duck which he loved. We had the pot de creme for dessert and lived it! Would definitely go back!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friend. Big round table in the middle of the restaurant. Best shrimp and grits I’ve had on my 4 visits to the wonderful city.
Best flounder ever! Loved sitting at the bar! Angela was so helpful and gave us great advise on our dinner selection
