Slightly North of Broad Ratings and Reviews
What a wonderful evening! Food was delicious, service was perfect! We were a large group celebrating our son’s graduation from college. Everything we ordered was a tasty blend of flavors. Even brought out dessert with a candle in celebration at the end of our meal. Definitely would highly recommend.
This was my first visit to Slightly North of Broad. I was impressed by the staff and their willingness to accommodate our needs. Vegetarian options were limited on the menu but once the young lady working with our table found out I am vegetarian she let me know about the vegetable plate option and stated that the chef would be happy to prepare that for me. I look forward to trying that option on my next visit.
Slightly better is ny thought... the food was slightly better, the ambiance slightly better than most... but the service though was awful - sing-songy and interuptive... completely devalued the experience. We went with another couple and our waitress was challenged from an EQ perspective... and was both overly attentive and nowhere to be found over our two hour brunch.
The best restaurant I have been to in a long time. Fine dining offering creative, elegant dishes prepared with the freshest and locally sourced ingredients In an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere. Knowledgeable, professional waiter, attentive , helpful but not pushy. Excellent, well prepared fine dining in a lively, fun atmosphere, without a trace of snobbery. Absolutely outstanding.
I had the carpaccio which was excellent, a salad and a crab soup. My husband had a beet salad and a ribeye au poive. The steak was disappointing. It was cooked properly but the meat itself was not up to par. The creme brulee was outstanding and the service was very very good. Maybe not 100% the experience we had hoped for but I would go back.
This place was absolutely amazing! I have been craving shrimp and grits for a while and SNOB did not disappoint! The amount of shrimp, sausage, and ham were perfect! Honestly, this was probably one of the most tastes and satisfying meals I have ever had! I’ll be going back for more before I head back home to Illinois.
The menu offered a broad selection of choices. We dined to the light side, having a salad and sweet breads. Food was superior. Wait service was outstanding. Ambience was all one wanted for any evening. We stayed away too long for this occasion. This may be Charleston's best consistent dining value.
3 couples in town for a wedding the next night. Dinner was great; from clams, oyster chowder, veggie plate, flounder to rack of lamb. Wine was outstanding! Our server was friendly, professional and ensured that each of us had just what we needed at all times.
Charming Charleston restaurant with their own version of some. Lassis low country cuisine. We enjoyed a wonderful crab soup, a poached pear salad, marvelously prepared flounder and a great variation in shrimp and grits. Service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly informative but not invasive. Portions were good and would recommend if you are in the area worthy of a visit
