Great food, pleasant atmosphere

We were both delighted and couldn’t fault any of it. Food was delicious

It’s been our third or fourth time visiting sleep hollow and each time we do it just seems to get better and better. Outstanding food staff and setting I’d recommend everyone to visit here.

Had a wonderful evening with my Mum as it was her birthday. Fabulous food and wonderful presentation. The service was great too. Will be back.

-We were 10 minutes early ,told so rather abruptly. Unable to get a pre dinner drink.
- soup' chicken broth' was watered down and without flavour.
- sommelier forgot to fill the glass of one of my guests.
- staff started clearing and rejigging tables rather noisily around us while we were still eating.
- coffee's were brought before desserts were served.
All by all a very disappointing and forgettable experience.

Fantastic spot one of my favourite places to eat. Just can't fault it.

Fantastic birthday dinner off the early bird menu. I highly recommend everyone tries the steak. It was the most delicious steak I have ever had.

4 stars due to table access 1 hour late but they were very busy but appreciative
because of crowd thought food might be rushed but it was perfect.

Fantastic food - Amazing value - Will definitely be back.

Food and service was fabulous and loved the unique crockery made by the owner. The menu was really good and everything on it sounded so delicious it was hard to choose.
The only thing that I had a problem with was the table was very big for two people. It meant we felt very far away from each other. Apart from that is was a really lovely experience.

Presentation of food was superb and quality was great too. Mini desserts are excellent idea. House white Sauvignon Blanc was also very nice.

We have often eaten here and food and service are usually very good. This time both were disappointing. We mentioned the food to the manager and received some push back rather than a genuine acknowledgement of our experience.

Vegetarian options were also disappointing.

Food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful, however the tables are squeezed in like sardines downstairs! ...an uncomfortable arrangement when trying to eat and talk...that's the only downfall they try to cram too many into a very limited space!

Up to its usual high standards.

It didn't live up to my expectations. The welcome was reasonably friendly but it took some time to get a drink. The place has a nice ambiance but we were beside a table of about 16 ladies which was a bit noisy- not anyone's fault really. My sirloin steak was ok but I wasn't given a steak knife. I then had to go searching for someone to get me a knife for the cheeseboard - a bit of a theme here! Overall, I suppose it was OK but I've had better.

Service and staff excellent.

Food excellent. Service poor. We had a very long wait for service and between courses. When finished we waited an age to get someone’s attention to get the bill. Then we waited a age for someone to come with a card machine only to be told to pay at the till in the entrance. Poor service spoiled an excellent meal.

No atmosphere and not very friendly staff at all levels looked like a cave

A little gem of a place with a menu that is bursting with different and innovative flavours. Never disappoints.

First time I’d been for a birthday treat and certainly wasn’t disappointed would definitely return.

You cannot deny the food is phenomenal at Sleepy Hollow, truly delicious. However, the waitresses are surly, eye-rolling teenagers with absolutely no charm. The manager too is abrupt to the point of being rude. It’s a real shame that such a lovely restaurant is spoiled by laughably bad staff.

As always, local beautifully presented, delicious food with perfect service in the lovely ambience tha is ?Sleepy Hollow. A MUST try if you have never been!

Service was a bit hit and miss. The food was excellent and the early menu was great value. The drinks of the month are a fantastic idea but prices would be useful beside them......a small bottle of beer was £4.95!

Had lunch menu on a Monday. Fairly quiet so service was very efficient and timely. Food excellent as usual. Great combinations of ingredients, texture and flavours for all courses. Lunch menu was varied with good selection of choices. Would recommend.

Had another delicious lunch in Sleepy Hollow. Food is just amazing. Service a little slow but we had time to wait. Definitely recommend it.

Outstanding food and service at lunchtime . Menu was extensive and creative and staff responded well to vegan requirements of one of our party.
I particularly like the mini dessert approach -- which allows you to have 2 or more from a delicious range.
This is the 3rd time I have eaten here -- would highly recommend it to all.

This was a second visit and we brought extra family. It certainly didn't disappoint. Food superb and delicious. High quality for a such a low price. Praise to chefxxxxx

On arrival we had to wait over half an hour in reception (4 people with 2 seats) We were not informed there was a bar upstairs. The starter was excellent although the portion of scallop was small. The main course was a little dry for fish but the vegetables were first class as were the desserts. Our main complaint was that we had to ask for a drink while sitting in reception and were told by the waiter that he would get back to us which he didn't.
Then the service at the table was very poor as we were not offered drinks before our meal or coffee after our meal. As we were sitting next to the kitchen door you would have thought we would have received much better service as the staff were passing all the time
