had a nice dinner at Slays. Hostess was very accomadating; moved us to a quieter table upon request. server and bussers were prompt and personable. enjoyed the great crab cake, a beter-than-average cesar , and a perfect MR rack of lamb. unfortunately, the sole was over-cooked and dry, but it happens... overall would recommend and will be back when in the area.

We booked what we thought was a fine dining dinner for us and another couple. We were seated next to 4 people who thought fine dining included dropping f bombs all through dinner, and talking as if they were at a concertor a football game. They were there before us and were when we left. We tried to inform our server who said she couldn't control other people. We mentioned to the host when we left when a woman in a pink shirt ran out the door after us wanted to know what happened. She informed us those people were "her friends" and that she was the owner. Told us we should have told her of noise etc....she was at their table talking to them. Guess being a customer doesn't matter these days. Strange experience for a local restaurant that we can walk to. We won't be back . Don't waste your money. For this experience we paid $500.00

We celebrated our anniversary at Slays with a great dinner. We started with crab cakes and squash blossoms for an appetizer followed by ribeye steak for our entree. We finished the meal with a piece of banana cream pie for dessert. The food was great and Sean our server was outstanding. David Slay even stopped by our table to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Can’t wait to come back.

My wife and I love the Slay restaurants...his Italian place is right down the street. This is our first visit to his steak house and it did not disappoint. Shaun our waiter was very knowledgable and on point. Food was coursed out perfectly. The owner was present and came by to check that everything was good. Presentation was great. We will for sure go back. Manhattan Beach is one of our favorite places to dine and Slay Italian has always been a destination, now Slay steak will be added to the mix.

Food was great. Service was good. I think I had a weird server…her approach was a little bizarre at times but it was fine. I realize Slay is a small place and they do make the most of the space but you are so close to each other and conversations are easily overheard. I overheard a disgusting group of people basically body shame a famous person’s spouse. Seriously, DO BETTER, people! The lady in the group also kept playing with her hair and she was really close to our table so it was gross and she was just very unaware. Again, not anything Slay can control but just a drawback of such a small space and gross customers.

Love this place! Gorgeous interior. Fabulous menu. Delicious cocktails. We had the crispy greens to start I will have this every time! We shared The scallops and the fish special superb. Flourless chocolate cake decadent. The service was on point. And my friend Rick is the bartender!! Great surprise. Run don’t walk to this great spot.

Slay’s steakhouse was overall amazing. We were met with great enthusiasm and satisfaction and received great service throughout our time at Slays. The owner came to our table multiple times to make sure our needs were met and exceeded. We had the Mary’s Boneless Half Chicken and the Steak Frites which were both exceptional and great for the price. Not too big of a restaurant and though it was a bit noisy, it had a very sociable and fun feel to it. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good steak and fish house!

There was not one item that we had that was not delicious! Parker house rolls, ceasar salad, steaks and steak bites, 5 spice salmon, chicken parmigiana and the pork chops were all very delicious and flavorful!

My Experience there last night with my date was wonderful, we even got to meet Mr. Slay the cook /owner, he was very polite an a down to earth person , they even comped our dessert because Slay was very impressed and thankful for use driving close to 2hrs to eat at his restaurant , the food was very tasteful and had lots of flavor
