Slates Restaurant and Carvery is a modern fully licensed restaurant serving a traditional roast dinner on our carvery every Sunday. You can choose from a trio of meats and then help your self to a large selection of vegetables and trimmings. To finish we offer homemade desserts and speciality coffees. Families are welcome and free car park. Slates is available for private hire Monday - Saturday, we can seat up to 96 guests in our air-conditioned room, with a wooden dance floor/stage and private bar its a perfect venue for many events. Catering can be arranged with private hire, 3 course meals, carvery and buffets, plus drinks from our bar and wine menu. Slates in large enough for corporate events, training and a wireless microphone for speakers. For celebrations our party package includes: private hire, disco/Dj, Karaoke and private bar. We also offer in house balloon decoration to help the party get started!

Fantastic carvery. Great selection of meats and vegetables and dessert was delicious. I would like to have a better selection of potatoes as there were only roast. They were understaffed that day and still done a great job.

The carvery is excellent well cooked, varied and delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant has decided to make it a two course affair for a set price (still good value) so if you are trying to be good and eat healthily you have even more temptation!! You can take dessert home with you, but you will still eat it - not good for those with slimming world and will mean we will come less often as it will also cost more. A great shame as it is very yummy!!

Excellent carvery with a choice of 3 meats and a pie, with mini sausages, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and a choice of I think 8 veg. Plus a choice of 4 desserts and child’s desserts. Very good value and delicious food.

Our first visit and it will not be our last, food was absolutely amazing. We were booked for 2pm everything was very hot the meat melted in your mouth and the vegetables were delicious. Will definitely be visiting again very soon and recommending to all my family and friends. Staff were very friendly and made us very welcome.

High quality roast meats and a lovely pie on offer, the best is the veg which are fresh and in some cases a meal on their own. I love the smoked bacon and leeks in cream sauce, red cabbage too. If I could make cauliflower cheese the way the chef does then i would live on it. Desserts are fantastic but personally I am always too stuffed to indulge so just steal a spoonful from those that can manage.

Very fresh and tasty carvery..perfectly cooked meats and a huge range of different vegetable dishes all freshly cooked which were really tasty. The yorkshires were home made and abs huge...service was excellent very child friendly and welcoming too..we will not hesitate to return for a sunday carvery roast and will recommend to all our friends and family too...10 out of 10 .
