Went for brunch and the food was not up to par. Scrambled eggs was too salty and service was a joke. Definitely not coming back. Very disappointed! Hopefully they can turn this restaurant around, train their staff/servers very well and hire a really.great chef!
My girls steak was ordered med rare but came out rare . They took it back and it came back the same , I had the snapper that came with spoon bread. They said the portion was not up to par and they would bring more. We were almost finished when we asked about it. The manager actually brought 2 additional portions. This would have really been good except they were cold. Was just expecting better
My son loves this restaurant for great food and atmosphere, so when we visited Orlando he wanted to take us. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday there and it was fabulous! Great food and excellent service. We will be back!
They have to update menus. I was wanting pork snitzel but wasn’t on menu. They replaced the brisket when I asked. Overall nice restaurant and service was great.
Kyle was wonderful ! We needed to get to a show and he made it work seamlessly. Steak tartare very good. Gnocchi great! Brussels sprouts amazing. Wine pairing wonderful. Had a lovely time.
Salmon cake bene, jerk chicken and waffle, BLT, home fries, and mimosas... all great. We’d all order them again. Nice ambiance as well. Only negative is it was a little chilly.
It was me and my girlfriend’s first time. I would have to say, the experience overall was great. Being our first time we weren’t sure about the food. I have to be honest, we ordered the Calamari and let’s just say I’ve had better at the Ale House. It was chewy and didn’t look appealing.
Now when we ordered our main course that made up for the starter for sure. The pork tenderloin was amazing. And my girlfriend has the shrimp pasta which was great. The potions was a great size.
The service honestly made up for that starter. Our waitress was informative and just all around great to us. We are definitely going there again.

Always a favorite for us. The menu has changed so more items seem featured at a higher price point but great happy hour every day and the service continues to be exceptional. We enjoy the rotating menu, bar and ambiance Slate offers.
This was our second visit to Slate and the food was just as outstanding as the first time. My husband had the steak which was cooked exactly right, medium-rare and was a generous portion. I had the grouper which came with a creative and delicious sauce. The presentation of both dishes was also artistic. Sometimes we have gone to restaurants where the food looks artfully presented, but the taste has been less appealing. I am pleased to say that everything was as it should be at Slate. Also, our server was both knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant and helpful. Cocktails were equally well prepared. The noise level is “active” with some music which did not impede our conversation, but I would not like it to be any louder.

My brunch meal was one of the best meals I’ve ever had - and although there was an error with one of our meals, our waiter noticed before it even got to our table and corrected the issue and explained why there was a slight wait.
The service was as bad as it could possibly be in a restaurant with a good reputation. The food was at best average, with one of our meat dishes overcooked.

We absolutely love the decor and ambience. Music seems a little loud but once we were seating down talking we forgot about it. We ordered the andouille hash and the fish tacos. Superb!!! We also ordered the calamari and it was too crispy and dry? Reason why we didn’t give it the 5 stars. Overall, the service was outstanding as well as the food and drinks. We will definitely be back!

As we walked into the restaurant the hostess and Chris are at the Entrance. Chris has been a leader several times and greeted us welcome back with a huge smile on his face. He was our waiter tonight and was phenomenal as always. He suggested items to our friends that were visiting from Miami he allowed us to hang out and always check on us but I was never Intrusive, he allowed us to have a phenomenal night with wonderful service and great food. Thank you Chris for always your attention and even if we are not set up your table for letting us know that we are always welcomed back.

Love your food - but when we were there (7pm on Friday night) it was so loud that we had to shout to talk at our table of 4. Not sure if there is anything you can do - but we won't book at busy times or maybe ask for an outside table?

The temperature was off... we were right under a fan +HVAC that made it quite uncomfortable.
As a regular, the food and service is always on point. A must try for those looking for a casual premium dining experience!!

Great service food was superb , maybe a little expensive but that’s dr Phillips for you , but expected that as it wasn’t our first time in there .
If you want beautiful food then you expect it to cost . We wold highly recommend the slate and wish we could afford to go more .
The hostess left our guests at the entrance for nearly 30 minutes although we were seated and waiting for them. The waiter said “that’s too bad” when I brought it up. When I spoke to the manager to complain, he said that’s not part of their training. So I emailed him to get him to acknowledge the situation and he said they’d consider it for future training. No where in there was an apology.
Good food except the steak tartar was not tasty. The rest of the food was delicious and the waiter Mike was really helpful. We will definitely go back.

We had a concert and we were running late. Chris took great care was personable and my family had a great time. A place to go to next time in the Orlando area.
Dinner was delicious, starting with a perfectly crafted Cosmo and Gin Martini! I had the Grouper which was creatively presented and tasted wonderful. I would have liked the portion to have been just a little more generous, though. My husband totally enjoyed his flank steak that was cooked medium rare, exactly as he liked it. This portion was very generous. He loved the potatoes and although he always dislikes string beans, these he liked and surprisingly ate them all. We felt the dessert which I frankly can’t even remember, was not as appealing as the rest of the dinner. A little more creativity is in order there, I think.
