6pm reservations allowed us to get happy hour drinks. 2nd time visiting in a couple days. Cheese and meat charcuterie was great.
We had a great evening, service was amazing and the food was excellent as well!
Everything was great from the ambiance to the food! 10/10 recommend!
Limited menu for those who are gluten-sensitive though the chef was happy to accommodate my needs. Kids menu is pretty traditional (burger, pizza, pasta) without much choice for kids with a mature palette or those who want to eat healthy. Great ambiance and very good tastes.
Wonderful! Eat here! Some of the best food we've had in a long time. Homemade breakfast sausage to die for and the creamiest grits I've ever had! Everything is super high quality. The service is amazing.
Food was not as impressive as it is said to be - this snapper and the crispy salad are very good!
Food was delicious. The place is a haven after The craziness of Disney Sorings dining. Service was ok but we were in no rush. Definitely a place to come back to
The greeting at the door was warm and friendly. Our reservation was ready. Our server did an excellent job. The happy hour drinks were a great value and delicious. We enjoyed the food, drinks and service in a great atmosphere.
Mark was our server he provided great service he started the service off with good conversation which set the tone for a great experience, and the food was great. We had eaten off the brunch menu. If I had one negative thing to say the scrambled eggs was very overcooked and hard. That would be the only negative. Will try this place again.
Nice but Limited menu
Food was excellent, very creative chef. Service was a bit slow but staff was very nice and apologetic for the wait. Drinks were a bit pricey for us but they do have a great cocktail menu !
Everything was delicious! Happy hour cocktails were phenomenal too. Great service too.
This was not good at all. I finally got my mom to go with me for her birthday and it was awful. The appetizers were awful tasting. The drinks were trash. If I had never been to Slate before I would definitely not go back. I have eaten at Slate numerous times after work, friends birthday’s and family birthdays. I cannot recommend this to anyone again. We had appetizers, drinks and entrees with a bill of almost $150 and still had to order Chinese food on the way home. Highly, highly disappointed. This was my moms first time there and I feel bad about the quality of the food.
Food was amazing! Mac and cheese a 20 on scale of 1-10. Brisket was tender. French dip and au jus was delicious!
Definitely a wonderful gem we’ve found for future visits to Orlando.
Excellent ambience (very romantic and cozy), great service, and delicious. Price points were fair but portions were smaller than expected. Still, will go back!
great location and vibe. food was pricey and a bit bland. i will go back and try the happy hour as the starters menu looked interesting.
Very nice place! Great food and service. Entrees are pricy but many other things to chose from. Will definitely go back! Great Happy Hour on Saturday which is unusual for the tourist area.
I have been here a few times. keep hoping for something special but keep being disappointed. Food just ok. Nothing special and over priced for the portion size and taste. Service fine but again nothing special. long wait between simple appetizers and the main course. Three strikes they are out. Plenty of other choices..
Fabulous. Delicious. Great server. Covid safe.
We had the worst service that we have had in a restaurant in a very long time. First they couldn’t figure out who is going to be our server. Finally we were able to order drinks and they took a long time to come. When they did come only my wife’s drink came. I waited almost 10 minutes in mine never came. I had to ask them to check and they claim the bar was backed up. Then we ordered dinner and asked for bread in the bread never came until we asked for it again.
The food was delicious. The side portions were really big. The entree of ribs was tasty but small, I would skip them. We will definitely go back. Thank you Stacy for great service:)
Slate is our favorite restaurant. The food and service never disappoint.
The service and atmosphere were very good but the food and menu selection did not impress me at all.
Mark was outstanding!! The biscuits and homemade fruit spread were brilliant. The duck confit was the perfect breakfast.
Perfect ambiance. Server was incredible and attentive and made great recommendations for food and wine. Tables were spaced out so you did not feel you were up against another dining party. Great evening. Will be back.
Horrible food for the money
I tried Slate several times many years ago when they first opened. I never really loved their food. It was a limited menu and it seemed like there were always issues (ex. chicken was raw inside more than once). Therefore, it seemed strange that the parking lot and restaurant were always full. My husband and I decided to try it again. It is now one of our favorite restaurants. I don't know if they've changed chefs, changed ownership, etc. but we love it! The service and ambiance were always top notch. Now the food is on the same level. I have lots of favorites - french dip, margherita pizza, mac and cheese, salad, fries, etc. I'm hungry just thinking about it! We love sitting in the back room by the fireplace. It's especially nice on cool evenings when they open up the windows. So glad we tried it again! Now we dine there frequently.
The food was not tasty, the appetizer (charcuterie and cheese) and the dessert (coconut pudding ) we ordered were not good at all and didn’t worth the money.
We ordered off the happy hour menu, and there were a few hits but mostly misses. We have had better pizza at airports. It was extremely dark in the restaurant. We could barely see our food. We asked if they could turn on a few lights, but it never happened. We used to visit this restaurant for brunch, but it’s not what it used to be.
Outstanding restaurant. Our first time there and we plan on coming back as often as possible. Our server, Stacy, was outstanding! The food was delicious and the drinks were done to perfection.
It was almost impossible to get drinks. When the drinks finally came, the champagne was flat. The second drink I ordered the glass had lipstick all over it. I ordered a $35 dollar Ribeye cooked medium, it was well done and not a $35 dollar cut. The best thing about the experience was that the waiter was funny and acknowledged the poor service.
Wonderful! The food was great!
Ambiance was very nice - not a bad seat in the restaurant. Food was very good, drink selection very good as well.
Service was FANTASTIC!
It was a bit noisy, but not bad overall. Would definitely go again.
Foods are good and service is ok!
Love Sunday brunch and dinner was excellent. Food was amazing as always
The service was horrible. We were seated for more than 10 min before anyone came over to us. They were not busy and had servers hanging out in groups. We ordered French toast and was told that it was not ready yet. We were there at 11.30 and they opened at 9 am. The replacement order took 30 mins to come out. No manger came over to apologize. I would not go there again
We’ve been here before for brunch and it’s always been good. This time it took a long time to get our meal and it didn’t seem to be very busy. Even after getting our food, it had to be sent back
Great food, terrible service start to finish.
I got food poisining after eating the brisket dinner that night. After we left, I started feeling bad around midnight and by 2 am was sick for 24 hrs.
We have been there many times, with no incidents. I would recommend to a friend, but I feel you should look into this. The brisket was dry and seemed like it was just warmed up as it was dry, not like usual.
We go to Slate whenever we are In Orlando. Great atmosphere and food
