   So glad Slate has re-opened and was especially pleased to discover in the interim it provided nutritious meals for fire rebuild crews and renovate the restaurant (new chairs, decor and lighting). The menu remains almost the same: creative cocktails, top quality steaks, and festive shareable dinners for two. I will definitely continue to be a regular patron and utilize its new private dining room for celebrating special occasions and meetings.

   We had the best time! Our server, Ben, was amazing! He was on it making sure our dirty plates were cleared, making sure our glasses were full, and making sure we knew where everything was for our brunch. Slate is lucky to have such a good guy taking care of their guests!

   Food was cold. Enjoyed the saxophone and the Easter bunny. No one checked on us to see how we were doing.

   Overall great experience for Easter Brunch. Good variety of foods including caving station and sushi. Live sax musician, bottomless mimosa's and Easter bunny added to the experience. If I would have one suggestion it would be to add snow crab legs, crab claws. and/or oysters to the buffet to truly round out the dining experience.

   I've been there a half dozen times or more and always enjoyed it and had very fine meals, until the latest visit on a Saturday night. The food was quite good as usual, but the kitchen messed up an order with a dietary restriction, the service was slow (though the waiter himself was pleasant and thorough), and the noise was beyond terribly loud. The last ruined the occasion since the four of us sitting across from each other could hardly converse. The place is simply not built to muffle sound at all. In fairness, there was a large party in the main dining area which did not seem to restrain themselves at all. If I go back, it will be only on a midweek evening when I will not expect a noisy crowd.

   I wrote down that it was our anniversary, and they sat us in the back room. It’s definitely not as nice as the main room, but later into the meal I understood why. There was a live singer, but it was so loud, I could barely hear my husband and we were in the back. There were also lots of drunk people singing along… not the experience I was expecting. I got the lobster mac and cheese, and a bunch of sushi rolls. The Mac and cheese was good, but every sushi roll we got was spicy (I tried to order the non-spicy ones, but I guess they all are). Would probably not go back unless I wanted a loud, party-like meal. I asked the waitress where it says there is live music, and she said I needed to follow them on Instagram and that’s where they post it. She also said they usually have live music on Saturdays in the spring and summer in case you want to skip those nights.

    Slate Bistro & Craft Bat is a wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend it. Starting from the friendly service and the delicious drinks and food, this restaurant is a must for anyone looking for a great night out. The Tsunami sushi roll my husband and I had was the best I’ve ever had and our meals, the filet mignon and slow braised short rib were amazing. The sauces that came with our meals were so delicious too. Slate is a great restaurant in so many ways and everything was perfect about our visit/dinner.
