Skyline Kitchen & Vine
Good meal. Good service. A little slow on the evening we ate there but we had a nice time.
They need to keep the website menu and prices up to date. Took in a bottle of wine, website 9$ corkage, real life 25$. I understand corkage fees particularly if you have a large wine selection, they don't.
First time here! Nice little neighborhood hang out. Cool drinks. Great food.
Great food & service. We will definitely be back soon.
Good outing at a neighborhood hangout. Extensive beer offerings with limited wine options. Food was middle of the road at best.
Food and service was excellent. I have to say even though there was space between the tables they seemed to be at 100% capacity and not the mandated 35%.
I love the food here. Stumbled upon it on Open Table - Didn't realize it was mostly Tapas, but that being said, it was perfect and the food was very high end and delicious!
Great neighborhood place but not somewhere I would leave my neighborhood to go.
Dinner was nice. The food was delicious! We decided to go with tapas and sample a bunch of items on the menu.
Nice atmosphere for a girls day out to lunch. Waiter was awesome and no waiting on our reservation.
My party of 3 was celebrating a birthday. We were directed to our table as soon as we entered and were given water and menus. Our waiter was friendly and took our drink orders and returned with them in a short time, even though the restaurant was busy. 2 of us ordered the shrimp scampi entree, which is the best scampi in town, in my opinion. The other person ordered the angus burger, which she claimed was the best burger she had ever eaten. She had to save half as a leftover since it was so big. The waiter took our dessert order after dinner, and returned with gelato and a candle so we could sing Happy Birthday. I have never had a bad meal or bad service at this restaurant. It has become a favorite place to eat.
We were pleasantly surprised that everything in our experience was really good! We highly recommend for a casual date night.
This restaurant has a very appealing and trendy vibe, and food is excellent. Big screen TVs for watching games . . . or not. :) Warm and friendly, great service.
Always a pleasure having lunch at Skyline Kitchen & Vine. Great food, wine and ambiance. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and the food. Definitely recommend the Duck Nachos, burger and fries.
2 people in the kitchen, 2 in the front of the house, and 1 buser... THEY KICKED BUTT! The food was awesome & the service was incredible. That night was the most human I've felt in months. Thank you team Skyline!
great food, nice atmosphere. and good service. Will defiantly be back!
Food quality was ok. Service was outstanding. They did not limited in door capacity for 25%. We still have other table close to us within 6 feet.
We went there for our New Years Eve dinner, it was our first time there and we will be back!
Everything about the place was amazing!
We Really enjoined New Years Eve here. Great wine, beer and cocktails to choose From. So good we purchased a gift certificate for our friends.
My wife and I have been looking forward to trying Skyline Kitchen and Vine for the first time. We were the first ones there at 12:00 pm with reservation. I ordered the mushroom burger along with the sweet potato tots, and my wife ordered the Mac & cheese. The burger was very good but definitely not great compared to other burgers in town and is very expensive for just the burger. My wife’s Mac & cheese came about 5 minutes after my burger was served??, we were the first one in the restaurant, really ?. The Mac and cheese was very good and the sweet potato tots were awesome. I used the restroom before leaving and it was really bad !!, trash overflowing , sink dirty etc, definitely not cleaned. I told my wife to use the other restroom thinking it would be clean and it wasn’t, same dirty condition. If this is a reflection of cleanliness of the restaurant we will not return. To sum up our first experience at the Skyline Kitchen and Vine it was just “ok” and we will not return or recommend to friends.
The food was good, the wine was great and the ambience was relaxing yet energetic. We really enjoyed our date night here.
Great tapas and helpful staff. Will be wonderful when they can go back to the full menu.
Unic place excellent all the way
Lovely neighborhood restaurant, in a lovely area away from the casinos. Great selection of appetizers/entrees/desserts/cocktails. Had the caprese salad, the brussel sprouts, the filet mignon, and fish & chips. All but the fish & chips were excellent. My husband, from England, gave the fish & chips a '7' rating, but he's always trying fish & chips everywhere, ever hopeful to find a '10'. Wish we had room to try their desserts, they sounded really good. Service was also very good.
We reserved outdoor dining and we didn’t get an outdoor table. Strike one. The menu posted on open table was definitely different and we were disappointed with actual menu. Strike two. Our server was wonderful and what food we had was good but not sure I would go back. Sorry.
Great place to get together with friends
We’ve experienced their DT Reno location, and we love it! It’s more casual than we expect.
We are local and enjoy this spot ... a few suggestions, 1) need plants inside to balance out the masculine elements of concrete and metal and 2) the music was awful - I love punk music but not during dinner ... and this is not a hot versus cold temp thing.
This was our first visit to Skyline Kitchen. We had a table of 7 and Heather was amazing she gave us great service and explained everything. The sliders and the beet salad were wonderful. I just wish this restaurant was closer it would be my go to spot.
Booked on Open Table and mentioned it was for our anniversary. However, nothing was mentioned which was a little disappointing. The food is good and there is lots of variety. It is a bit pricey though as everything is “small plates” which adds up quickly.
We loved the food, ...but it was so so slow. The restaurant was not full. Dirty dishes sat on our table for way too long and we ran out of water because no one came to fill it. Pretty unorganized at the front and instead of a nice welcome, we got “just sit anywhere.”
Our server was nice, but we didn’t see her very often. No apology for the very long delay, but maybe she didn’t even get that it was. All of this is too bad as the food was delicious. Unfortunately I doubt we’ll ever go back.
Great local spot. Food & service solid. Maybe a bit overpriced. Check them out.
Had a wonderful meal with my wife. The environment is fun, modern and comfortable. Highly recommend and we will be returning.
Food is very good. Service and kitchen are always slow on Friday/Saturday.
Good selection, quick service and good food. Big selection of wines at a fair price, corkage@ $25 discourages bringing your own! Overall a good experience and will try it again.
Excellent food and great atmosphere! We will be back!
This was the first time we dined at this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a great lunch: calamari steak and Kobe beef burger. Unfortunately, the "fryer" was not working so my wife was unable to have the fries. The wait person was very professional and made sure that we had everything we asked for, i.e., extra bread to go with the steak. The restaurant did not have many customers and the wait person told us it was more of a night-time place. I believe that if more people know about it, the restaurant is a great lunch place, too: lots of good parking, wonderful menu, including wine list, and plenty of seating. We plan to return and bring some friends with us.
Service is very haphazard. Slow and at times unresponsive.
We were very disappointed in this highly rated restaurant. We were in town to check out properties for relocation and excited to try a nice restaurant in the area. We were also celebrating my husband's 50th. (I noted on this notes for the reservation.) No mention was made of the birthday which told me how concerned they were with customer service right off the bat. (Usually restaurants mention it because they want to make a good impression on a new client.)
The atmosphere was very casual with TV's going in all directions, something in keeping more with a brew pub than a restaurant, I thought. But we shrugged it off and ordered a number of their small plates. The calamari tacos were nothing to write home about and the Thai lettuce wraps -- well we like "different" but we didn't care for their take on this dish. We liked the Kobe beef burger but that was about it. I had ordered a "strawberry" chocolate dessert that came with a raspberry sauce and blackberries around it which did not taste at all like strawberry. I would have sent it away immediately but the waitress dropped it off and disappeared so we decided to try it. Even if I had not minded that it wasn't really a strawberry tasting dessert, it was sub-par and dry. When we were finally able to coral the waitress and complain, she said the chef said it had a strawberry gel on it. A very misleading name for a dessert is my comment. The waitress was happy to take the dessert off the bill when I politely asked. But when she went to make sure, the chef refused to allow her to do it stating that we were taking the leftovers home. Fair point except, we had actually bitten into it to give it a chance and knew that it would be tossed. I told her, "no problem", and we left the 1/2 eaten dessert so she could take it off the bill.
This place seemed to "want" to be an upscale, trendy-casual, gourmet kitchen but instead it came off uninviting, loud, and average.
