It was absolutely fantastic. Great experience. Great service. The wait staff were very helpful and attentive. I am highly recommending Skydome to my friends and family.
Great restaurant for a quiet dinner with a great view.
Great view! Staff was great!
Great restaurant overall! The food was great and the service was equal. The view just can't be described. I will be going back!!!
Absence de service. Absence de couverts pour manger. Plats fades servis tièdes. Le filet mignon ressemble à du rosbif. Belle vue de Washington en soirée.
The staff was very nice. Did not rush us to order. Very relaxing for my wife's 50th birthday. Unfortunately, I ordered the New york strip medium but it was well done. They took it back and unfortunately the 2nd was medium but not hot enough to melt the cold butter on top and no seasoning. So I had to take it home and doctor it on my own grill. Smh. Great place. Just don't order the expensive steak.
I would say the food is not as good as the view. We went on an anniversary dinner and it took 2 hours to finish a normal 2 course meal. Wait staff barely followed up and it took forever to get the check.
Great dinner but was looking forward to the tomahawk steak unfortunately they did not have them the evening I was there, I come once a year and was looking forward to that steak. Filet was still extremely flavorful and cooked right just not what I was looking forward too
Very good food! Service was slow but they were busy and we were so impressed with the food it didn’t really matter.
View is wunderful
Waiting time for the food and drinks was extrme
I would recommend this place only for the view. Go there, get a bottle of wine and enjoy the view. The rest is not worth it.
The reservation was confirmed with the note that it will be held for 10 min. We arrived 7 minutes late and were informed that it’s canceled due to the lateness. OK, the manager reinstated it and seated us. We asked if we could be next to the window. He said, that since we reserved the table on the same day, he can’t do it. We spend about 2 hours there and MORE than half of the tables by the windows remained empty. I wonder if they were for “an additional cost”?
Dirty dishes
Bad customer service
Food was not worth the money
Side dishes are a very small amount
The best view any Washington restaurant has to offer.
Food was horrible you have to pay for window seats. The price for the food was ridiculous for the food to be that terrible
Everything was almost perfect to our satisfaction. One point needs to be clarified. The bill was somewhat confusing and created the impression that THE TIP was included, although a "gratuity" paragraph was available too. It would be practical if the patrons are somehow advised (for all practical purposes maybe in advance - when they do the reservation) about "the system" in a timely fashion without finding it out through itemization and elimination. This is just a suggestion.
We incurred another type of billing situation with a new electronic portable pad at a different place ("Texas of Brazil"), where the patron has to indicate (by manipulating physically the device in semi-darkness under the eye of the waiter breeding in my neck) the tip through a menu of options. The way the options were lined up was so confusing that it resulted - for several people including our party - in a double billing and follow-up time consuming unpleasant steps to resolve it.
This was not the first time we dine happily in Sky Dome and bring each time friends from out of town, out of State or from Europe. We will be definitely back.
They have a beautiful view but their service and limited menu makes it not worth it.
It was good, but overrated.
View was amazing. Service was poor, and food was ok.
Pros: Unique experience in DC. Very friendly staff, excellent views of the city. Tasty food. Cons: Kitchen is elsewhere in the hotel. Servers have to navigate hallways and two separate elevators to deliver your food. Our food, while tasty and professionally prepared, was less than luke warm when it arrived due to the time it took. Neutral: Portion size is typical for a 5 star restaurant - small portion with a larger price attached. But very tasty. I would still recommend.
It was so beautiful. Food was flavorful and beautifully plated. The wait for our meal and drinks were amazing. Our server was knowledgeable and courteous to our privacy. Will definitely be returning thank you!
food sucks, service sucks, manager sucks - never again list!!!!
Valentine’s Day dinner. Was pretty empty. Food was good, but took up 2 hours to receive everything.
Would not recommend.
The view was outstanding. The moving platform gave me a bit of motion sickness so if you go I recommend either taking motion sickness medication or just being aware that's a risk.
The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was a bit disappointing. There are very limited options and not a lot of vegan/vegetarian options. The price was more than the foods quality. With a price tag of $42 for a 14oz New York Strip Steak you'd expect more than what you'd get at Outback Steak House. The flavors we're good but it wasn't somewhere I'd go back again.
We enjoyed our visit for the experience and the view.
Great for spectacular views of the city. A lot smaller than I expected and it was tricky finding how to get up there. Menu was small and the food was average, not exactly worth the price, but I guess they can charge more because of the scenery? Also, the service was very slow. It took 15 minutes after asking for the check to actually get it. Nice waiter but it just took a long time to get what was asked for.
We dined for Valentine’s Day. Even though we were late and should have been turned away, they accommodated us for the evening.
Half of the restaurant was empty and they was rush people out telling them they only had two hours to eat when the server was slow as all get up.
Views were amazing but food was expensive
The view was amazing. But the food was awful Don’t come for the food just for the view.
It was pleasant experience. The view was wonderful. Food wasn’t bad’ but could be better.
Beautiful view of the area and an amazing support team of customer service specialists here
I booked dinner to celebrate my sister's birthday. This was clearly noted in my reservation, and when I checked in as the first of the party to arrive, I told my server who indicated the restaurant would offer her a complimentary dessert. My server was very patient with me as I awaited the arrival of the rest of my party. After 30 minutes of waiting, I messaged my group only to find out that they were at the restaurant and had been there long enough to have cocktails and appetizers! We both gave my name for the reservation and yet were seated separately! When I expressed my displeasure to my new server, I got a feeble defense that he'd not done anything wrong. The meal went fine (food was good but not as amazing as the prices would indicate and certainly not plated in an interesting way), but the coffee my sister ordered to go with her dessert never arrived. When the check arrived, not only was my sister's dessert not comped but there was absolutely no effort to recognize and compensate for the eggregious seating SNAFU. To top off the experience, the parking ticket the waiter validated for us was rejected by the parking machine and we had to call for assistance to have the boom raised. The view is something to behold and if I were to ever recommend Skydome, it would be for the view, but overall my experience does not garner recommendations.
Nice venue, can't beat the view. Ambience was wonderful with the night view. Service with Roberto was beyond superior---he put a candle in my date's cheesecake slice for his birthday. Many people didn't abide by the "smart casual" dress code and were in slogan T-shirts and hats, for example, but it's a hotel restaurant, so anybody staying there will go as they please. The chicken is like a quarter-to-half chicken, so it is a large portion with minimal vegetables. The breadbasket is $5 for the table and you get six very good rolls, but that should be complimentary. The food was very good and what you'd expect at any other comparable restaurant (Filet mignon was $49, for example, the chicken was around $28). For two of us with bread, martini, soft drink and dessert, it was about $110, so not a bad total value for three courses and drinks at a nice hotel restaurant in the DC Metro area.
The Skydome was a wonderful DC “experience.” It’s such a unique setting and the views are phenomenal. The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. Prices are what you expect for the area - a bit pricey but you get more than a meal. We enjoyed the fabulous views throughout our meal and it was such a novelty. I would definitely recommend the Skydome.
We were impressed with the view of the dc skyline to include the monument. The food was outstanding and delicious. The floor does rotate so everyone gets the best seat. Service was good as well. The restaurant comps 2 hours for free when using self parking.
Atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommended date night location...I loved it.
Oddly no music and staff water friendly but very inattentive
Gorgeous view with an amazing ambience and great food!
Best steak and great views. Wonderful service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
