This is a must try restaurant! Really delicious food and excellent friendly service. The cocktails were also great and they have an exceptional wines by the glass menu. The restaurant layout is stylish and elegant with an open kitchen in the center so you can see all the action! Stand out dishes for us were the quail appetizer, fried oysters, snapper entree and the peanut butter & chocolate dessert.
Poor service, average food, overpriced. Lesson learned.
Excellent food with wonderful flavors. I wish it wasn’t so noisy.
Excellent cuisine and our server (Tiana) was exceptional. Highly recommended
Consistently delicious with quality staff, food preparation and wine menu.
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. The wait staff was extremely professional. The menu is unique with great choices of seafood, lamb, beef and many sides.
$18 for a single taco is outrageous-even tho it was delicious.
Wonderful time. Great food a s service. Will be returning.
Our experience at Sky Creek Kitchen was excellent. Service was great and head chef/ owner Enam walked around to most tables to have conversations with the guests . The beet salad was very tasty and we also had the red snapper which was also very good. FYI The menu at Sky Creek was just updated the day we went there so some of the additions to their menu do not show up on the website. The food and attentive service were excellent so we will be back to try some of their other dishes in the near future!
This place was great. Loved the food and the chef came out to greet the guests. Love that. The cheddar biscuits were amazing! We will be back.
Expensive but good
First time there and really enjoyed it. We had the salmon and the halibut, both were excellent. We'll definitely go back
Truly a gem for DFW area. Food was (and I don't use this word lightly) perfect and surpassed our expectations. Kudos to Chef Enam and the team!!!!
Beautiful modern building. Limited menu but with plenty of good choices. Extensive wine list but nothing cheap.
Food is amazing, service not so much. Worth one more try.
Soo good. Exceeded expectations. Lamb shank was amazing . Will be back!
First time at this restaurant and had heard good things. The atmosphere is lovely. The restaurant was quiet for a Saturday evening. The food was just okay, which was a bummer. The concepts were there and the menu looked great, but the flavors were bland and did not feel like the dishes came together. This was consistent regardless of what dish it was.
Amazing food! So much flavor and super fresh ingredients. We ordered snapper and halibut and both were fantastic. Fried okra with chipotle aioli are a must! Brussels sprouts had too much soy sauce for my liking. Wonderful dinner!
Food was wonderful. The oyster appetizer was one of the best I’ve had and the main dishes were all delicious. Our 5 ate almost a whole order of the oysters!
Date night dinner at new restaurant. Great cocktails, appetizers also. Good variety of menu options. Excellent service and food was amazing. Executive chef made stop at table to make sure we were enjoying our dinner and that everything was perfect.
Great evening out.
Enjoyed the food and service was excellent. Higher prices than in another restaurant in the area.
old Fashioned was $19 and not excellent for the price.
Fantastic service and food.
Overall not bad, but not a home run. Red Fish was a little over cooked and the sauce almost had no taste. My wife’s Salmon was good. Mac and cheese was great and the biscuits were a nice touch. Service was spot on. Head chef was walking around greeting folks, but I think he might should spend a little more time in the kitchen making sure his cooks are on point. Not cheap but similar in price to many other places in Southlake.
Everything was amazing, from the ambiance to the food! We will be back!
Food was amazing...our server had great personality but service was slow. Asked for water multiple to no prevail... overall nice restaurant...would not be my go to if it was a special occasion
Mother’s Day brunch was absolutely the best!
Went for Mother’s Day Brunch. Didn’t realize it was Prix Fixe menu only till we sat at table. $95 per person, $25 per kid. Food came out very slow, my mom ended up having to send back because dish had mussels and she’s allergic, after waiting forever. Ultimately asked for it to go. Kids got $6 chicken tenders from any other restaurant kid menu basically but for $25. Included banana pudding only which not sure how many kids like that so my kids didn’t eat it. Only seafood options except for two items so my dad who doesn’t eat seafood basically had no choice what to order. There was no comp on bill for late food or my mom’s food which she took in a to-go bag (on Mother’s Day). Ultimately paid $500 for 6 of us and all of us said would have been better to go to Starwood or Cheesecake Factory for 1/5 the price. My son was still hungry after his chicken tenders too, which is aggravating after paying $25....
We have been for dinner before, was pretty good. Not memorable, and for price point they’re trying to be at the value is not there. Probably won’t ever go back.
Ernie, I apologize for your less than perfect Mother's Day Brunch experience with us at Sky Creek Kitchen. When booking your reservation our hostess should have mentioned to you that on holidays we do have a special pre-fixed menu. I sincerely apologize for that oversight. If you do decide to give us another chance, we would be happy to take care of you. Please ask for Enam the Director of Food & Beverage when booking!
Chef is friendly and was out and about on dining area to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Food was good and pricey.
First time there. We had a wonderful meal and loved the special attention from Executive Chef, Jose Soto. For 2 people, choose what we would call the Chef’s tables.
RayandJane, Thank you for your candid review! Please visit us again soon!
Fantastic service and interesting food! A great find!
We had a group of 4 and jumped on the opportunity to try a new Dean Fearing concept restaurant.
Evening started off great with a phenomenal bar and knowledgeable staff (Maylee was excellent).
Sat for dinner atmosphere was good and wait staff was great. However, the kitchen service was slow, and the food was good but unremarkable. As a group we ordered the Lamb Shank, Snapper, Riley, and Halibut. Nothing was wrong with the food, but it was not up to the expectations of a Dean Fearing restaurant. Highlights... Solid wine list, crab Mac N Cheese, and great dessert.
If we were to return would probably eat at the bar and have the Mac N Cheese and dessert with cocktails. Entrees would need to improve.
Dined ther for our 30th anniversary and had a nost pleasant experience. I have known Enam for a long time and he still WOWED us with a couple of his creations.
Delicious cuisine and outstanding service.
DPWjazzman, Thank you for your kind words! Please come back and visit us soon.
The food was pretty good, service was average. I would go to this restaurant again if there weren't so many more to try.
Loved the staff, very friendly, attentive and engaging. Chef stopped by the table too. Food was good, especially the fried okra! We had the lobster nachos, Texas Caesar Salad, Bonnie and Clyde burger, fried okra and salmon (a little over cooked but great flavor). Will definitely go again. The bar is nice too and we liked the drink menu.
Thank you for your nice review! Please come visit us again soon!
All the staff was great, Christine followed us from the bar to the restaurant as our server, Malie was great too
Thank you for your feedback! Please come visit us soon.
I had the beet salad and the lamb shank while my friend had the ribeye steak and flourless chocolate cake.
The food was okay and the presentation was colorful for the salad and interesting enough for the main course. Taste wise it was filling and good but not outstanding.
The ambience was quiet enough for conversation. I requested a quiet table, not in the chef’s table. The menu was limited due to the pandemic.
Nice to try at least once and see what’s new in the neighborhood.
SandraDee, Thank you for giving us a try! We encourage you to come back and we promise to give you the Sky Creek Kitchen experience we know we are capable of. When you call to book your reservation please ask to speak with Dani. Thank you!
Steak tasted like cow. Gamy and tasteless. No seasoning or salt. Server said it was prime. No way!! When I asked for some sort of steak sauce to cut down on the cow taste he looked at me like I had three horns!!
I am sorry to hear about your experience at Sky Creek. We would like to give you the opportunity to give us another try on our behalf! For your future reservation, please call Sky Creek and ask to speak Chef Enam.
Great food and great value. It really is a gem. Excellent service and a really nice view of the kitchen. Highly recommended.
The restaurant has potential but definitely could use some tweaking. They need extra servers. Our server and hostess were excellent but seem overworked. The food was innovative but not great and especially for the price... My fish was tasteless and overpowered by a questionable sauce...Portions were very small for the price. I’m showing Grace due to Covid situation. It was very clean and I hope to see some additional staff to make the service match the price point. For the same price~Kirby’s and Bob’s offer a much better portion size and quality. Overall~it was ok. Our server’s attitude and joyful heart were the best part of the experience. They could also use an additional bartender on the weekends.
MeriA, Thank you for your review! We are looking for staff- unfortunately the COVID-19 Pandemic has made hiring extremely difficult for those in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry. I am sorry to hear you were underwhelmed with your portion size. When you come back, we will be sure to impress you!
