Was very excited about this restaurant after a suggestion from our resort. That was turned into disappointment by the end of the night. We booked our reservation to coincide with the sunset. It was beautiful and the location was the perfect setting to take in the views, but there was no heated outdoor seating. So we had to enjoy the view from inside which was not bad, but not ideal. As far as the food goes we were utterly disappointed. We had a party of 11 and majority of the table was not happy with their food. The worst being the $30+ grouper that was not only a sad tiny portion, it was completely overcooked. The waitress told us that she would get a manager over to try and rectify the situation which never happened. The waitress never asked if my sister would like a new serving or even to try something else to replace the fish. Her meal was comped but she left hungry and was never give the chance to better her experience. The foods that really missed the mark for the table were the shrimp nachos and the surf and turf flatbread. Not everything was bad. The she crab was good, the creamed collards were great as well as the pimento cheese grits. The fresh oysters were very good and were the star of the night. We really wanted to like this restaurant but it just seemed to lack some of the basic necessities of a quality restaurant. First impression is everything and hopefully we just caught them on a bad day. Too bad, with the prices of their meals and the selection of other restaurants in the area we will not be back to get a second impression.
This was our first trip to Skull Creek Dockside. We loved the setting & the area for kids and families. The food was very good and delivered just as we ordered. Our server, Olivia was awesome.

The wedge salad was excellent, enough for 3 people. Ingredients fresh and high quality. The fried oysters Rockefeller was a nice variation from the traditional. She-crab soup is a tasty generous bowl with plenty of crab. Could have used a little less salt. Nice dinner.

Very attentive service from Lawson.
The overall experience was good. The only complaint was that with the half off promotion the serving size is smaller. Getting only four small sea scallops for dinner is a bit stingy don’t you think?

Made the mistake of ordering bbq at a seafood restaurant.
While the beef brisket was very good, the chicken quarter was dried out and burned to a crisp. Made me sick.
The flounder filet was tasteless. I expected a much better experience. We normally go to Poseidon but no reservations were available there. We won’t be back to Dockside.

Went for Sunday brunch. Outside of the fact that it was chilly in the dining room, the entire experience was excellent. Tasty omelettes, breakfast potatoes, and toast accompanied by fresh fruit and flavorful coffee made for a quality time. Good service, relaxing, and low stress environment with a nice view of the water. I would recommend.
