100% improved service since our last visit after they opened! Loved that the Chef came out to describe our choices and answer our questions - and great to see Chef Chris walk thru checking things out. Cocktails were very good, great wine choices. Overall relaxing and enjoyable evening - definitely not rushed to clear the table which was nice.
The menu is intriguing, especially with all of the unique and fresh fish options. However, In our party of four, all of us were disappointed. We thought the fish and sides were bland. The portions were rather small and I left hungry.
We had a reservation, and were seated immediately. The restaurant was not at 100% capacity, and it took us 3 hours to eat. The service was horrible. Food was OK.
The place is really cool on the inside. Gives a nice vibe. It was extremely busy the night that my wife and I went so it was somewhat loud in there but could still carry on a conversation. The crab cake fritters were amazing along with the scallops. My wife ordered the lobster bisque which was good but a very small portion. Her lobster ravioli in some bites was good, other bites was just meh. Overall we had a good experience and would certainly go again to try something else!
Gourmet prices for sub-par cuisine.
ALL seafood ordered, no matter whether an appetizer or a main meal, WILL have eel sauce on it.
ALL other food ordered, no matter whether an appetizer or a main meal, WILL have balsamic on it.
Seriously, for a $52 steak, shouldn't it have a different flavor (balsamic) from the spinach & mushroom (balsamic topped) or the broccoli (balsamic topped) side dishes?
And how about that great eel sauce topped crispy crawfish? What about eel sauce topped crab fritters? Don't like those? Maybe try the eel sauce topped scallops (as long as you don't mind large rubber balls with no crisped edges).
I would say, maybe an anomaly? But this was the second visit/second chance/second replicated experience. So no, we would not recommend this restaurant nor will we be returning.
My $120 bill for table of two was a bit overpriced for a bottle of eel sauce with a side of balsamic.
Normally we pride ourselves on trying new places, or at least alternating between favorites, but we find ourselves having been here twice in the past couple weeks now. The food is fantastic. Definitely recommend the crab bisque. The crispy shrimp and crayfish were great as well. each of the entrees we ordered were equally delicious. We'll be back soon.
We were enthusiastically greeted by Chef Chris! My husband, daughter & I enjoyed scrumptious meals & yummy drinks! Great service too! On the downside, we were Freezing and they were out of several things on the menu & we were there at 6:30...We will return!
Great food. Not busy and staff was very engaging.
out of alot of things, wine, appetizers, meal options. not sure why waitress/ waiters cannot get more professionally dressed, it really takes away from "dining experience" that it should be.
