Leighann was amazing and this spot was great!
Visiting for a couple of days and decided to try this new place. Everything overall was good except my Reserve white wine flight was not very good wine and at $59 totally not worth it. I would recommend ordering your favorite wine for that price. We had a cheese and charcuterie board which was ok but they really don’t give you very much. The mango and avocado salad was very tasty but drenched in the dressing. I would go again but I would make other choices.
We arrived early and were able to get a seat on the patio, overlooking the downtown river walk, thanks to the host! We enjoyed a charcuterie board with our wine tastings. We enjoyed sitting outside. The menu, while not extensive, was sufficient. The mango avocado salad with shrimp was delicious, as was the short rib entree on special. We will be back!
They charged for the second glass of tea!! First time for me anywhere.
I come here very often. I would say at least a couple of times a month since you’ve opened. I am disappointed with the size of the “large” salad and price. It is a very small salad. I don’t think this has always been the case.
We had reserv. For 7, was given a table for 6 & again had to state the reserv was for 7. They tried squeezing in a tiny stool and made it seem like we were being a huge hassle. They eventually moved us to a table that had a table of 7 reserv within an hour and a half.. it was SO confusing why it took so long and seemed like we were being hassle to the staff when they literally could have accommodated us immediately. I was questioned several times about my reserv accuracy and just felt like I was in the wrong for showing up with the correct number of people per the reservation. It was everyone’s first time there and sadly we won’t be returning again soon. Even water refills took longer than they should have and it seemed every step of the way, we were an inconvenience.
We were very appreciative that the host held our reservation since we were having trouble finding parking. It was fun using the wine tasting stations before dinner. There is a great variety of wines available. I like that you can get anywhere from 1 ounce to 5 ounces of wine. Service was very friendly and attentive. Our sandwiches were delicious. We look forward to coming back.
Outside dining was great! Pricey but good food. Not delicious but yummy. I liked 3 out of the wines in the red lower priced small portions that came as a set. Will go back and try more wine. Wish they refilled the water on such a hot night.
Red Wine flight and apps were delicious! We sat outside and the weather was perfect for the tent. Service was fantastic. Will definitely visit again.
Hi Julie, thank you for your 5-star review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your visit with us. We look forward to you joining us again soon!
We were seated under the tent. Let me just start by saying that I’m sure they are short staffed. My husband wanted to try a taste of one of the wines before ordering and the server would not permit that. We’ve never been to a restaurant where they refused a taste like that. So, he decided not to order wine. Once we told the server that we wouldn’t be placing a drink order, or service deteriorated pretty quickly. It took close to 30 minutes to get water. We ordered food- two dinner salads with shrimp/chicken and an order of the Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were brought out as an app, but we had no utensils, plates or water. They tasted fine but were cold by the time we could eat them. Our salads were fine, but small. I’d asked for a different dressing on the side, telling our server that I’m not a fan of raspberry vinaigrette. Thankfully the raspberry vinaigrette wasn’t too sweet, because my salad was covered in it. By the time our server checked in, I’d decided to go ahead and eat it as is. We asked for the check and it took over 30 min to get checked out. Overall, while the food was fine we won’t be going back. Too many other great options in Naperville!!!
Decent food (a little over priced in my opinion), good wine, beautiful patio (but be careful of sitting by the brick walls. The hotel above pumps out a gas smell every 2-3 mins), the waiter was not great or attentive.
Ambience was great, staff was great..never pushed but was always there if I needed something. Staff was knowledgeable on wines. This place is a perfect date night place.
Overall the vibes here were great! Beautiful night and I enjoyed going. The lava cake was hands down the best lava cake I've ever tasted in my entire life. When they say lava they are not kidding, cake was HOT! And delicious... although the mimosas were weak. Mostly OJ and I asked for my second one stronger but came out about the same. The service was great and our server was excellent! Will definitely be back again
I have been to SixtyFour several times before and it’s always been ok. However, after my latest experience at this restaurant I will not be back and will be advising you to do the same.
To begin with, our waitress was very cold with us. I thought maybe she was having an off day but then I observed her with other tables and it was a completely different person. Cracking jokes and smiling to everyone one else. All the other servers were perfectly nice. The food was ok. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything extraordinary either. The wine list is very extensive and really that’s the appeal.
The problem started when it came time to pay. When the waitress brought our bill, the check was significantly bigger than we expected. Upon inspection we realized that we were being charged for 8 glasses of wine. We were a two party and only had 3 glasses. When we pointed out the error to our waitress, she kept insisting that the system could not be wrong, that the wine was charged in chronological order, and that we must have pressed more buttons/drank more wine than we were saying. We continued to the explain that (A) the list was not in chronological order as the first glass we poured was the second to last on the list; (B) we only had two glasses on the table (nothing else had been cleared away); and (C) we had only poured 3 drinks (and that’s because the second drink we tried to pour was supposed to be 6oz and it only gave us 3oz).
We asked to speak to a manager and our request was denied by the waitress saying she was a manager. We continued to explain that the bill was wrong and we were met with accusatory looks and words. The waitress finally asked the general manager to step in. We proceeded to explain to the manager what was wrong and the same thing happened. We even asked them to check their cameras but they ignored our request. Finally and reluctantly the manager took off the extra charges from our tab.
I have never been treated like this before and will not return.
Fun vibe, great choices of wine in the “self service” wine stations!
We sat outside on the beautiful patio. We each had a wonderful wine flight and amazing goat cheese bruschetta. Fun place!
such a lovely place to go vibe with some gal pals. the moscow mules were delightful for 10$ lols
Always a good time with good food and, of course, wine. Menu had just changed and I had the duck risotto which was superb! Patio seating is lovely.
We went to 64 not knowing the wine bar had re-opened, because the food is always good and the service top-notch. What a nice surprise that the wine bar opened just a few days before! The staff that was manning the wine area was super helpful, not only about the wines, but also about how it all works. Fun to try some new wines and always an experience there. We got takeout several times during the pandemic and were never disappointed- the team went above and beyond then to make sure the food was presented well and tasted great. Glad to go back into the restaraunt:) Keep up the good work and thanks!
We dined in their outdoor tent re: Covid so I think this impacted our experience. Cocktails were really good. I had a great margarita. Wine list is really nice. Menu is a bit limited and portions are small but the food tasted really good. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful but a bit rushed as he seemed pretty buys. I look forward to going back and enjoying their outdoor patio along the river as this space looks really nice.
Great atmosphere for hanging out with friends. Not a full dinning restaurant as the dinner menu is limited- no options for steak.
The only thing I could order was the beef short ribs.it was delicious but I wish there were at least two more options as filet mignons or sort.
They also have good options for cheese charcuterie!
Overall I would recommend this place.
Hi Marija, thank you for your 5-star review! We're glad to hear you had a good time! We currently have a Hanger Steak on our menu that you should try next time you dine with us. We hope to have you back soon!
Great wine, great food, great service!
Thank you for your 5 star review!
It was our first time to sixty four wine bar and absolutley loved everything. We will be back for sure!
Love to sit on the outdoor patio with our pup. So nice of them to cook chicken for our Stella. Great place
Thank you for your 5 star review! So happy to hear you and Stella had a great experience.
Lovely evening, delicious wine selection for new, intermediate, and experienced wine drinkers. Delicious food, affordable flights! Highly recommend!
I went on Mother’s Day at 3 pm for my favorite goat cheese bruschetta. And they were out of tomatoes! So - had already ordered wine - so finished that and went somewhere else to dine.
Laura, thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear about the bruschetta! We hope you join us again soon to have it in the future.
We ate lunch in the tent for Mother’s Day in a group of 9. We felt very safe and separated from other tables. The service was very good but definitely took a little longer since the kitchen is further away. We did not mind since it gave us more time to visit. Food and drinks were great even without the “pour your own” wine stations. Would definitely recommend.
Jami, thank you so much for your 5 star review! We're so happy to hear your Mother's Day went well with us and that you felt safe. We hope to see you back in again soon!
Great service. Fantastic brinch menu! such variety!
Mark, thank you for the 5 star review! We look forward to having you back in again soon!
Great wine selection and appetizers too!
Thank you for your 5 star review!
The food should be covered while transporting from the main building to the tent. The food gets cold if it’s chilly outside.
Thank you for your feedback. We completely agree with this statement and have sent this over to our staff to look into for cold days. We apologize for the inconvience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention to fix it!
Love the atmosphere, we got a nice quiet table near the rear which was just what we needed. The food was great and wine recommendations were spot on.
Thank you for your 5 star review! Happy to hear you enjoyed our patio, we look forward to having you back in again soon!
This was our first reservation in over a year, we were so excited. We walked into a happening dining room full of people having fun and were promptly sat in a hallway where people wait to use the bathroom. There is no music in this hallway, no tv's, none of the entertainment in the fun dining room. The food was very average and we would have had more ambiance at home.
Sean, we're so sorry to hear about your experience. As I wrote to you in your other review, we are working on the ambience in the lounge. Stay tuned for some fun updates! Take care!
The service is great and the food is delicious. The location is perfect is by the river walk and just across the public parking. The only thing I didn’t like is they don’t have a kids menu.
Jennifer, thanks for the feedback! As a wine bar we mostly cater to adults, but on special holidays we offer a kids menu (Mother's Day, Easter, etc.) You are always welcome to ask our server what we can do for kids, we'd be happy to make a plain cheeseburger and some fries. We hope to see you again soon!
I didn't get help except the manager.
Thank you for your review, and we are sorry to hear you were not able to be served by one of our serving staff. We apologize for this staffing issue, please reach out to us directly at the email on our website to discuss further!
Always fun at 64!
Thank you for your 5 star review!
Woefully inadequate service and staff, they ran out of clean plates. Are you kidding me....
Only because I have eaten there before and service was stellar, I would go back and recommend. Management look at the weather and staff appropriately!
Shari, we are so sorry to hear about your experience. We apologize for running out of plates and for our staffing issue, please reach out to us directly at the email on our website so we can rectify this issue with you. Thank you for understanding!
Fantastic night! Great wine and food! Our server was wonderful!
MaryAnn, thank you so much for the 5 star review! We're so happy to hear your enjoyed!
Another strong experience here at 64. Food was excellent (those Brussels sprouts!) and wine was good also. Service was excellent until the end and then we had a slightly hard time flagging down our server but overall it was very good.
Thank you for your 5 star review! We're so happy to hear you had an enjoyable experience. We hope to see you again soon!
First of all, there was ultimately only ONE server for the entire outdoor dining area and by the time it had filled up I’d say there were at least 10 tables with a total of roughly 25 people out there. They were understaffed, to say the least. Eventually, some of the kitchen and other staff sort of helped out, but not enough to make a real difference. When we finally got to order food, they were out of burgers. Yea, burgers. So we left hungry and underserved. Just awful experience. Won’t be going back.
Brett, we are so sorry to hear about this experience and would like to make this right. Please reach out to us directly via the email on our website so we can discuss further.
We had a reservation but there wasn't any space on the patio so they sat us in the tent. The ambiance is rather lacking there which kind of matched the seasoning of the food. The short rib was very good but the Cajun chicken was rather bland and didn't seem to have been spiced at all. The flammkuchen was dry and didn't use crème fraiche or lardons so it was pretty forgettable. The wine flight was good but not memorable.
Thank you for your review. Our patio is first come first serve, we are sorry there was not any space. I have sent this over to our staff to make improvements. Thank you for leaving your feedback!
