Sixty Vines - Uptown Dallas
I have been here several times and it has been pretty good. For lunch and dinner. We went for brunch for the first time and the food was not good (Avocado Benedict was soggy toast, semi brown mashed avocado with the lamest side of wilted fruit) and the service made us feel rushed to order and then took forever to get my soggy toast. Disappointed with the brunch for sure.
Unfortunately we got a very lazy waitress because everything else was great- love the big tables for a large group and food is great
I want to preface this by saying I’ve been to Sixty Vines once before on another Saturday night and had a better experience. However, I don’t absolutely love their menu but it is a fun atmosphere.
In this case, we made a reservation for 5 for Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s upcoming wedding. The seating process was uncomfortable and started the experience off on an unpleasant foot. The hostess took us back to our table in the “annex” (not sure what the separate space is called) and seated us at a 4 person table. They were moving chairs and moving menus out of the way to make room to pull up a fifth chair. They pulled a cold chair from the patio and we had to ask for a cushion because the metal was cold and not a ton of fun to sit on. Having made a reservation 2 weeks prior, it felt like we were an afterthought. We were by a high traffic door, like a foot from the table, on a cold night. We asked to move to a 6 person table across the room but after checking they moved us to another 4 person table by another door. This one was less traffic but still not ideal. The whole situation felt like we were burdening them. There was some tension between the servers and the hostesses and at one point a hostess told us that she had “no idea what’s going on” while the servers were having what looked like a rather heated discussion after we asked to move tables. It was just unprofessional and a little bizarre. I assume they were understaffed on a busy night and a restaurant that large can’t afford to be understaffed. Our server did his best to accommodate us but we could tell he was so so busy. As for the food, the pizza was just ok. The crust was hard and there wasn’t a lot of cheese on it. All in all, it ended up being ok, but it left enough of an impression on me to write a review.
Great restaurant! Love the ambience and variety of wines on tap.
Their Frozen Riesling is amazing! make sure to try it. Only available on saturday and sunday for now.
Potential but very poor service !!! Bad timing
You order champagne wasn’t cold and the second time take for ever food was good not great!
Nice place one time deal
We dined for my mom’s birthday and had the best time. We sat in the greenhouse area which was slightly quieter which we appreciated and our waiter Josh was amazing! So helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Lamarcus took great care of us. The food was amazing, I definitely suggest the brussel sprouts, the beer and goat cheese salad, and the spicy sausage pizza. I was out of town in a business trip, I wish they would bring a Sixy Vines to Salt Lake. This was my favorite meal of the trip.
Sixty Vines is a weekly experience for me, sometimes more , I love the food , the atmosphere, the ambience and the most courteous, professional and attentive staff you’ll ever find.
Today we had the pleasure of being served by Lemrcus, he was such a delight, and anticipated our needs before having to ask for it. It is service like Lemarcus that keeps us coming back, of course , the menu has something for every palate.
Thank you, Lemarcus.
Great atmosphere - delicious food!
Sixty vines was pretty good. Cheese plate was excellent.
The BEST place for brunch... fantastic food and service!
very loud! conversation impossible!
It was great...
Came for my wife’s bday. Had our wedding reception here last year. It’s always lovely.
I definitely would recommend and will be returning to try some of the other dishes. Service was okay - I believe it was because it was Valentines weekend. One of the hosts was rude, but thank goodness for Open Table because I didn't have to interact with her very much.
Food was terrific overall. The pizza wasn’t the best but not bad. The crust was a bit soggy. The selection of wine is great. Nice venue but very loud.
My date and I were seated right on time according to our reservation. Our server was welcoming and very polite. The menu had a variety of choices and great selection of wine. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or date. The environment was peaceful and very romantic.
Our appetizers took a bit longer than expected but overall everything was great!
The place was nice. Reservations were on time. We had a few hiccups with all food not be brought out. Being it was Valentine's it hard to gauge the food as it seemed to be rushed. The pasta was dry and the crabcakes were extremely salty.
Valentines Day dinner
The food was light and tasty. However the service was less than stellar. One hostess stared at me and never offered to help. I assumed she wasn’t the hostess since there was another woman helping a guest. After making eye contact with me several times and even staring, another group came in and she immediately welcomed then and began to check them in. Our waitress was inattentive and look a long time to follow up and even longer to check on our coffees that look forever.
The hostess was extremely rude and would not recognize our Valentine’s Day reservation. She was so terrible that we didn’t stay to try the food.
Snobby hostess / host crew. Good server. Ok food. Horrible seating - if I wanted to share a table with 12 strangers, I’d go to a German beer hall, not an upscale restaurant.
Such good food and quiet but social atmosphere. It was the perfect choice for valentines. The wine was AMAZING, and I definitely want to go back again and try even more wines.
We were so pleased with all our dishes and the service!
Great! Thank you
Valentines Day at the same table we had our first date at.
The review is solely based on where we were seated and who we were seated next to. We were celebrating Valentines Day and were seated at a community table in between groups of women celebrating Galentines Day. Super loud, lots of ‘men suck’ discussions, and at one point the woman sitting next to me grabbed my glass of wine by mistake.
I did select ‘special occasion’ when I made the reservation, but next time I’ll be more specific.
Amazing as always
Great food and we had a very nice and helpful server :)
Experience was great. Food was outstanding and the waiter was top notch. We will be back!
Austin was a great waiter
It’s a bit pricey, but excellent food and service. I would recommend this restaurant for those looking for something different
Great location before the Game, a play or other entertainment in Dallas.
Food and service is great, large selection of wine.
Park for free and ride share to from your event for a hassle free evening.
My wife, friends, and I all love this place with its open and unique restaurant atmosphere, attentive service, huge wine selection, and of course, its delicious food. It doesn't hurt that they validate your parking either.
Always great! Excellent experience 💜
