Sixty 5 is a great venue for private events, small and large too!
The menu includes steak, tapas, seafood, tacos and more
Waitress was great but the service was awful. The food took an unacceptable amount of time.
This place must be on the way out of business.
There was no hostess. You have to wait for one of the wait staff to seat you and then take your order, very strange.
The menu was changed recently and has fewer items. We had a reservation at 7:30 PM on a Saturday (not late in the evening) and almost all of the appetizers on the menu were not available and a lot of the entrees were not available. I don't know how they expect to make money if there is nothing to serve.
The wait staff said that "Surf and Turf" was the evening special. When we got the "Surf and Turf", it only had Shrimp and Lobster, no steak. I guess it should have been called "Surf and Surf". The wait staff didn't know the menu.
The manager was walking around in sweatpants and didn't bother to talk with patrons.
To top it off, the bill was $50 per person (for dinner and two drinks) for a really terrible experience.
I don't recommend this place.
Thank God the company was good because it took three hours for us to get a meal served in this mostly empty restaurant on a Saturday night. We visited this restaurant a year ago and it was lovely. No more. The waitress was new and completely unsupported, so couldn't really blame things on her! Our food was finally served cold and even the coffee they promised to make "fresh" was cold. If you go, stop after the drinks and appetizers as there is no reason to go further.
The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night which was a bad sign to begin with. The food was mediocre at best. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Terrible experience overall. We had an 8pm reservation. The man who approached up was dressed so casually (track suit or similar) that I thought he was a bar patron, not an employee. We were seated quickly and out waiter greeted us in a timely fashion and we ordered drinks. After a long wait another server came over to take our drink order. We told her we already placed our drink order.
“I’m going to be your server now and I don’t know what you like!’
“But we already ordered. “
“But I’m your new server and I don’t know what you like.”
“Do you mean a food order?”
“No I mean a drink order. I’m your server and I don’t know what you like.”
So we ordered our drinks again.
Then several minutes later the guy who took our initial drink order came back to our table without our drinks and asked if we were ready to order our food. Now exasperated I told him that someone else said she was our server now and took our drink order again and recommended he go talk to her. Then I added that we would just have our drinks and then go elsewhere. After another 10 minute wait with no drinks in sight, we walked out. It was like an alternate universe in there. There was one other new table in our half of the restaurant and about five tables that were already eating. There were many open tables. It was not even remotely busy for a Saturday night at 8pm. Had been there once when they first opened and I liked it. Only upside to the entire experience is that in our rush to leave my boyfriend left his phone on the table. We did not realize this until much later that night when we got home. To my amazement when he went back the next day they had it and gave it them. So there’s that. Went to Velo instead and had a lovely meal served by Andrew who made us forget the unpleasantness that had transpired.
We had been there a year ago and the place was hopping! Returned specifically to hear some live music (Ari Alexander was AMAZING) but we were 1 of 2 tables in the entire, huge restaurant....on a Friday night!! The menu had changed significantly and was disappointing. Wish they'd rethink the changes made, cause our first experience was incredible and this time was sooo sad. Bring back the old Sixty 5 on Main!
I recently dined here for my sister's bachelorette party. I was able to work with Cliff on reserving the table who was very accommodating. The bartender, Ross, such a sweetheart! He even played a part in helping me plan a little surprise for my sister while we were at the restaurant. Needless to say, that made her evening! Thank you Sixty5 on Main for a great evening!
I went with my family. They all enjoyed their meals however, as a vegetarian, I found the options very limiting. The appetizers were good but there was only 1 meal (C- salad) that I wouldn’t have to manipulate to enjoy.
I was disappointed that the former chef left and the menu changed
Last year we were there and the small plates menu was extensive and the food was delicious
We went on Sunday evening, and surprised to find ourselves in a near empty restaurant.
Sundays are, we are told a lot slower. So if you like your restaurant experience a bit more quiet,
then this is a good time to go.
The only disappointment, (not the restaurant's fault), was no music on Sunday nights, which was why we
selected this venue. So check before going.
We ordered salads. Huge! almost enough to be the meal. Easily can be split for two people. All the main
courses were sized appropriately, and was seasoned well. my salmon was excellent, flavorful.
The staff was OK but not overly attentive. (not complaining however.) All in all, our group had a good evening and I would go back.
The food was excellent. The menu is a bit limited for a dinner menu. The prices were fair and not exorbitant. The cauliflower dish was worth recommending. If you have appetizers, I suggest sharing an entree. The server, Elias, was more than cordial, eager to please and knowledgeable about the choices. Ask for the first room on the right when you come in. At first we were told it was reserved. However the party that reserved it choice a different room and alhtough we had just been served, our waiter was more than helpful moving us into that room. We wound up being the only people in there and it was quiet, cozy and comfortable.
OUR WAITER WAS FABULOUS. HE WAS ONLY WORKING THERE 3 WEEKS BUT MET ALL OUR NEEDS. I THINK HIS NAME WAS ELIAS BUT NOT 100 PERCENT SURE
Yummy brunch!! Great atmosphere! Cute place!! Would definitely go back for dinner!!
We went here on a Sunday night and there was only one other table of people. We were told they are redoing the menu so it was a limited menu. Then the waitress came over and said they were out of 2 menu items. There were about 4 main courses to choose from so we were disappointed that they were already sold out of 2 items. This used to be a great place for tapas so we were surprised to see the regular entree menu. Would not come back here unless they get back the old tapa menu.
Went with friends for a brunch date. Didn't have a great selection. Felt too much bkfst items. Not enough lunch/ items. The waitress was very sweet. Came to check on us many times.... Almost too much. Suggestion... Be visible and if guest wants something they will ask. Not necessary to ask everything ok, do you need anything more than once. It was on verge of intrusive. Again , she was very sweet but too much.
I would come back to try other menu's. I heard the " small plates" were very good. Probably bot return for brunch.
I thought the prices were too high for the quality of the food. The fruit was wilted and/or not ripe. All the food was cold. The menu was very limited and they didn't have one item on the menu. The burger sliders weren't even that good. It's not too hard to make eggs or burgers and they were all just fair. This was a special occasion for my daughter that I paid for and I don't feel I got my money's worth.
Band was way too loud. I had the squid ink pasta and the fish in it was very dry
This restaurant is not what it presents itself as as steakhouse as well as serving tapas dishes. The menu on the website was extensive, but when we arrived we were handed a single page menu with limited dishes and no tapas. The staff was pleasant, but disorganized. Obviously, there some problems with this restaurant and we do not recommend it.
Menu didn't match the website menu, very limited and we left for another restaurant
This restaurant does not represent itself correctly. The menu on the website was extensive and it was billed as a steakhouse. When we arrived we were handed a menu with VERY limited options. We chose this restaurant because we thought they offered several steak dishes. We ultimately left and went someplace else. We do not recommend.
Very tasty food and beautiful restaurant as a whole. Good for groups.
This is touted as a 'steak house'. Their website has nice pictures of steak and lobster tails. Menu is somewhat limited. I ordered the NY Stip right off the menu and was told by the waitress that they don't have any NY Strip steaks left. Mind you, my reservation was at 7 pm and the restaurant was maybe at 15% capacity filled. So I ordered the Ribeye which they had, and asked to pair it with a Lobster tail, to which I was told they were out of Lobster tails, too. The Ribeye was unremarkable, my wife's steak sandwich, ordered medium rare was not. Looked like they cut the steak before cooking it and cooked the sliced pieces - no wonder it wasn't at the desired temperature. Can't believe this place stays in business, or will be in business for long. Was hoping we found another great place in Nyack - not to be.
Horrible.. Everything about it! First almost everything we tried to order they were "out of"... VERY small portions for the price.... Restaurant was empty we went at 645 on a Saturday and still had to wait long times for service and food! Was VERY disappointed!!!! Will never go back..
We went there primarily for the entertainment -- the singer. She did not disappoint! The dancing was a plus and the food was exceptional.
We were disappointed that the restaurant was out of 5 of the entrees. Our waitstaff was very helpful.
This place used to be a gem. Had a great tapas sharing menu. We showed up and the place was mostly empty. The menu was changed. The food was ehhh at best. Mostly bland. There is no way this place will survive. They told us that the chef left and there was a new one.
Big disappointment. I will not go back.
I found a piece of plastic in my food. The server said she would let the kitchen know. I never heard a thing - no apology, no explanation, nothing. Will not be going back - ever. Plenty of far better options in Nyack...
Very disappointed. Menu was small to begin with and then the waitress promptly informed us that they were out of 5 items! There were no specials so nothing additional to balance it out. Owner/manager was busy schmoozing the one other occupied table in the restaurant and never even checked on our table. Food was only ok. Overall very disappointing visit.
Service was very good with server Ashley but food coming from kitchen was very slow. It Was Nyack Fair day, to be fair, but restaurant wasn't that crowded. Omelet ordered soft was not, steak ordered medium rare came out well done. They redid it but took time.
Nice view, private parking make mit worth trying again.
We came for the music, which was fabulous...Peter Furlan, Neil Alexander, and Ratso Harris!! But we were particularly impressed with the wonderful food, especially the roasted butternut squash appetizer. Our waiter was very courteous and friendly, and did not mind that we hung out for so long to listen to the jazz trio. In all, it was a perfect birthday event.
Server was friendly, but they were out of the bottle of wine on the menu and couldn't confirm the "two glasses left" were fresh. The milk was "sour" so coffee drinks were not available. The food was okay. After dining, it began to make sense why the place was so empty on a Thursday night during regular dinner time.
As soon as we walked in for our anniversary, we were welcomed by the owner and our waitress. Francesca was an absolute doll and they treated us like we were regulars - even though it was our first time there! The food was DELICIOUS and the interior was gorgeous. We will definitely be recommending Sixty 5 On Main to everyone we know and we most certainly will be coming again!
I’m hoping they figure out the food. The space is beautiful. I want to love it but my crab cake was gross. It cost 24.00 for gross. I’m still hoping it gets better because I’d like to go back and sit outside.
It was empty and the staff could not keep up. Some items did not come out and we had to ask multiple times for our drinks. Restaurant has lots of potential.
I have been here before and used to be much more impressed with the place. The ambiance is awesome however the food came out cold and the staff were confused as I think the restaurant was overbooked. We were seated right away for our reservation however the people in front of us were a larger table and were asked to wait even though they had one as well. I used to love coming here, but now I'd think twice as I really wasn't impressed with the food.
Good food and atmosphere, but staff was inattentive during brunch
This restaurant has alot of potential. No sign of ownership . Seemed understaffed, service was lacking. Menus were dirty, no specials given although other tables received. Alot of potential.
Meal was good overall. Wine glasses are what i would expect in a pizza parlor. Not a restaurant of this level.
Family flew in from out of state
Service was poor. The staff tried to serve our entrees before even clearing the appetizers from the table. Empty glasses remained on the table throughout the meal. Our table was rarely serviced.
Food was fair. No specials. Lobsters were overcooked and tough. Appetizers were OK, portions were small. Couldn't substitute any sides when ordering entrees...apparently the chef doesn't like that.
Drinks were uneven, which is a shame because the bar area looked really cool and inviting. Two of us ordered 2 Moscow mules...the first one was great and the second one tasted totally different...and not in a good way. Another person in our party ordered a glass of wine but the wine glass was dirty. We were told that was normal due to the steam cleaning???
