   Food was very good and had some interesting combinations of flavours. However, service was poor - far too many different people serving who didn't seem to know anything about working in a restaurant: for example we weren't told about them being out of two options until we tried to order them, we were asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu as the server cleared our starter plates away although we had ordered mains, and my partner had his glass of sparkling water topped up with still water even though his bottle of sparkling water was sitting right next to the glass. It's a great location with amazing views but they just don't have the class of service that somewhere like that needs to make it a go to place rather than a place that you go to once and then not again

   Good food but not stellar. Decent value. Staff a bit amateurish when serving - plates cleared before one of our party had finished for example. A significant improvement on when we first went several years ago. Food much improved. Wine list reasonable value - decent options. Nice view. It’s not the best restaurant in Notts but as they were closed it fitted the bill pretty well. I can’t help feeling though that with a bit more staff training and a little more risks taken with the food this place could become exceptional. Would probably return.

   The venue is fabulous - spectacular nightime views over the City and surrounds - different from the summer. The seasonal menu had a great range for all tastes, and the food which arrived, in exactly the right tempo was superb. Rich, flavourful, beautifully presented. The people of six are fantastic too - they provided a relaxing and informal service, nothing was too much trouble. We had a memorable, perfect evening. Thank you all!

   A wonderful experience. The food was really lovely, beautifully presented, and tasted delicious. The staff were so attentive, and provided quiet and professional service. The manager Adam was outstanding in his attention. Friendly, helpful, professional, and so lovely, a real asset to any establishment. Cannot rate him highly enough. Love this place.

    Superb food and drink coupled with outstanding service, and not Christmassed out which meant a lot for a birthday meal! Having said that the clementine bavarois was Christmas on a plate in a super subtle way - genius use of seasonal ingredients. Keep up the great work Six!

    Everything was good - the staff were very nice and professional, if a bit too quick to bring our food out - we felt like they were trying to rush us through our meal. The food was good value for money. Our table was next to a window which overlooked an industrial unit and some grubby looking houses, which was a shame as on the other side of the restaurant the view is of Trent Bridge cricket ground, which would have been far nicer.

    Very small portions, venison over cooked and never been anywhere where only one scallop is served! No white meat options on menu. Waitress just poured the wine before we even tried it and filled the glass! Will not be coming back for a good while. Spoken to others and they have had the same experience recently. Amazing venue could be better! Be nice to have a bar area for pre -drinks (add to atmosphere) very in and out for the price!

    It’s mostly about the location. Food is interesting and flavours are inventive. Some of the combinations of flavours were too far removed from conventional but I expect that is part of the experience. Service around ordering and being served dinner was excellent. What needs to improve: Although taxi dropped us off outside the entrance to the restaurant, after walking up and down the gates in the rain, finally spotted a tiny sign telling us to enter the stadium on the far side and walk all the way back again. So drenched by the time we got inside. Wine list is extensive and varied - the white wine we chose had not been chilled and the one we switched to was still too warm. We chose a cheaper wine at £34 , did not expect it to be good but also did not expect it to be bad which it was (and not chilled). Ultimately, they are charging comedy prices for a restaurant in Nottingham and impressive location or not, will struggle to justify it, however hard they try. It’s a one off experience for me, but not rushing to return. I will either save up and go to Sat Bains or enjoy three meals at Iberico for the price of one here.

    Excellent food and service. We had a table in the Library area (which I loved) and a window seat looking directly over the mighty Trent Bridge pitch. We both had 3 courses, a bottle of wine and a cocktail each. Staff were great - the right level of attentive without being imposing.

    SIX is an outstanding fine dining destination. The choices on offer - six of each course - were well thought out and balanced for even the most discerning diner; the quality and presentation of the ingredient led food was Michelin star standard; and depth and variety of the wine list a refreshing change from the well known stalwarts usually on offer. Not many wine lists feature Greco Di Tufo whites from Campania nor Constantia reds from South Africa. The location, ambience and views from high above Trent Bridge added to the sense of occasion. I would definitely recommend and will return one day! Thank you SIX for making our get together meal with family couples (ironically there were SIX of us too!) a special occasion.

    Lovely staff, nice setting which I enjoy, 2 opening glasses of Nyetimber a bit flat, great starters but Sunday Lunch roast poor - wife's plate was beige with a piece of over firm (compact) chicken breast and a large, dry Yorkshire pudding and bread sauce? Best pudding, apple tart tatin sold out so had cheese. Shame really as previous evening visits have been excellent.

    Food was amazing but we asked for the vegan menu and you only got one choice and that came out with cheese on it ! Waiters and servers need more training as some of them didn’t know what to do at some point. We had to ask for more drinks. But … overall it’s a lovely place and I would go back

    After a fantastic Sunday lunch to celebrate a significant family birthday in May we were excited to be returning, but sadly the experience this time couldn’t have been more different. We were informed the management had recently changed but the chef was the same, but the food simply did not have either any visual flair or technical skill on this occasion. It did not resemble in any shape or form the dining experience on the previous occasion. It was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We had booked for a double birthday celebration and family members had travelled specially from another part of the country specially to join us. We feel really let down.

    Offering a table next to the toilets is a no. Better to just not have a table near that door. Courses were served just slightly too quick, better to ask customer what interval they want between courses. That said it was marginal. Course offered were good but I would like to see a beef course. Cheese board was excellent but the initial server did not know the range. Quality of the food was excellent and perfectly presented. Cost was as expected but starters need to be reduced by 20% to reflect value of the food as a whole.

    Six is a great venue and we enjoyed the evening although we were disappointed with the Tarte dessert , the rest of the meal was good. Overall we found it expensive .
