Refined modern British cuisine meets unparalleled panoramic views of the Newcastle cityscape in BALTIC’s stylish quayside rooftop restaurant.

Menus are inspired by the very best seasonal, local artisan ingredients, whilst a carefully curated wine list draws from both new and old worlds.

The sleek, elegant dining room, complete with a chef’s table, offers an indulgent six course tasting experience. More casual small plates and sharing dishes are served in the opulent viewing box.

SIX’s stunning centrepiece bar serves innovative cocktails and both draught and bottled beers, with an emphasis on local breweries and distilleries.

                                        Had the 9 course tasting menu at Chef’s table. Couldn’t fault any single course with the lamb and beetroot courses particularly superb. All staff extremely friendly and attentive. Even at the price an absolute bargain! Thanks to all involved.

                                        Delicious lunch with a good variety of choices, friendly, attentive service but not over-fussy, provided extra toast for pate immediately on request and my steak was perfectly cooked, just as rare as I like it. My friend’s confit duck was excellent, flavoursome and with delicious crisp skin. We were also given some complimentary petit fours which were much appreciated. Wine pairing suggestions with each course were appropriate, but as the driver I had only one glass of Malbec, served at perfect temperature. Our only issue is that it is a quite noisy venue, not because of rowdy customers or frantic action in the kitchen, just the design of the place, all hard surfaces with nothing to absorb the sound. Compensations are the fabulous view over the Tyne, especially from the Ladies’ loo!

                                        We had a wonderful evening. Four of us had the six course taster menu and it was a true dining experience. There was not a single item that any one of us disliked, despite some we never would have ordered for ourselves! Serving staff were attentive and informative without being overbearing. Allergies were diligently (and deliciously!) catered for and even the sunset over Newcastle was dreamy! Delightful.

                                        Visited for our anniversary, definitely recommend getting the lift and not attempting the stairs 🤣 Lovely view, atmosphere and staff. Food was nice.

                                        Had a wonderful evening at Six. Arrived early for pre-dinner drinks and were led to viewing box which has stunning City views. We were led to our table early and our waitress Charlotte was wonderful all evening. The rest of the team were equally attentive. The food itself was outstanding and we look forward to returning soon.

                                        Service was outstanding food tasty but unfortunately not good value for money . Portion of steak with a tiny piece of salad , chips were extra , sweet tiny with a minute scoop of ice cream.

                                        Unbelievably brilliant! From the moment we stepped out of the lift it was amazing - stunning food in a stunning setting with fantastic staff. My husband’s 50th & there was a card waiting for us at the table. Sat at Chef’s table & Carlson talked through knowledgeably & passionately each course with sous chef Sam also chipping in. Daisy provided the perfect wine flight to accompany each delicious course. Thank you so much - memories made
